Yewbranch slid out of the mouth of the warriors den, stretching, maw open wide. He worked the ground with his claws before trotting further into the gathering of Shadowclanners. He looked at the cats around him with distaste, lavishly stalking to the front of the crowd, to sit neatly near the foot of the rock.

Quailears trotted into camp from his patrol, whispering hellos to the cats he was familiar with as he made his way to the middle of the crowd of cats.

"Its alright Nightkit, but only because you stayed inside of camp and didn't leave." Fawnpetal said in a soft but stern tone. She pushed the frog back to her kits and said "Thank you so much Nightkit, but you should have it. I'm not really hungry and you guys should eat first." She looked over to Minkkit and said "No, not awesome Minkkit. Sneaking out can be really dangerous." She said. Kits can be such a handful at times. she thought.

Foxleaf headed to the gathering of cats and sat down, eager for what Icestar had to say.

Fawnpetal looked out of the nursery to the highbranch, I wonder what she is going to say today.

Aspenpaw sauntered over to the growing crowd with a yawn.

What is it this time?

Ebonykit watched him beg for the food, but when he looked at her as if he wanted her to help beg. There was no way that was going to happrn. The she-kit stood there, trying not to laugh at her brother.

Citrusflower glared at the kits with her eyeless face. Mirekit was the only one begging for it. "Fine, but just a small peice.", she meowed. The molly stopped grooming Mirekit and pulled Ebonykit to her. She began to groom her daughter. The forever queen felt the kit squirm underneath her.

"okay momy, i won't do it again" Nightkit replied.
As their mother thanked her for the frog she added "and Bluebellkit! He took the frog here" the young kit smiled, then looked at the frog. She had heard that frogs were supposed to be quite tasty, but before trying she looked up at her mother again "are you sure you don't want any?" she asked, tilting her head.

She then looked back at the frog, at took a bite, only to pull a weird looking disgusted face "beh! Mice taste much better than those frogs" she concluded.
The she-kit then looked around to see if there were perhaps any mice left, as she really didn't want to eat that weird tasting frog.

As Owlfeather padded in with the mice, the scent of the prey woke a pretty golden kit from her nap. Honeykit stood on her paws, taking her time as she stretched her slim limbs, which were already were gaining a bit of muscle. She glanced towards the warrior and padded up to her without a word. She gave a curt "Thanks," and took a piece of the measly prey; the prey was particularly skinny this Leaf-bare. She carried her meal to a corner by herself.
By herself, as she always seemed to be. She glanced over to where Bluebellkit and Nightkit were happily chatting, and she felt her belly tug at her with envy and slight jealousy. I've never had friends... she sadly turned to her meal and closed her eyes as she took a bite. But, perhaps it's because I... always push everyone away... she pondered this as she ate, feeling the jealousy grow in the pit of her stomach. Why can't I be perfect like them? she felt the urge to slice somecat with her claws, then suddenly shoved the feeling away.

She sat there a moment, horrified. Did I really just want to hurt my denmates? she shook a little. What... what's happening to me? she felt scared, in all honesty. She sadly gazed at the remains of her mouse, suddenly feeling queasy and not at all hungry. She shoved the prey away, wanting to gag, and considered whether or not she should tell her parents about what she just experienced. Making her decision, Honeykit padded over to Fawnpetal. "Mama? Can we talk?"
