(Sorry! Also, I'm about to do a roleplay with Orpheus maybe joining WindClan).
Orpheus continued to scream even as he watched Lark get away and, soon, he heard the telltale bark of dogs. Wow, he had never been so relieved to hear them! The fox seemed wary as the barks grew louder, and it sent the former kittypet a glare before taking off, and Orpheus allowed himself to sigh with relief.

Lark calmed down a bit before backtracking to Orpheus. It wasn't like he was going to leave him behind. Cautiously approaching, he realized he didn't see the fox. Am I in the right place? he wondered. Then he saw rustling in a tree. "Orpheus!" he called up. "Is it gone?" @Kyrieknight

"Yeah!" Orpheus called down. At least, he thought it was gone. It had taken off in the bushes and, while he couldn't smell, he still felt unsafe. So, he remained in the tree, still trembling. "I think so!"

Lark didn't hear it coming back. "I think you can come down now," he meowed, coming to stand at the foot of the tree. "You can always go back up." @Kyrieknight

Orpheus was hesitant for a few moments. Was it really not coming back? But, Lark never lied, and he couldn't smell it, so it was probably safe... right? Slowly, with each paw shaking terribly, Orpheus climbed down the tree, and he sighed once he was down, laying down on the forest floor. "Thank goodness..."

"That was scary." Lark flopped down beside him. "I thought we were goners. I bet once you get to the Clan's, you'll think that doing this is nothing. You'll probably fight it off, too." He grinned at Orpheus. @Kyrieknight

Orpheus shivered. "Hopefully it stays away. I never wanna see one again, let alone fight it," he sighed. It was going to take forever to find his mom at this way. But, surely it would be worth it, right?

"Hopefully," Lark agreed. He rolled onto his belly, his legs splayed straight out. "I forgot what we were doing out here in the first place." @Kyrieknight

In the midst of anxiety and horror, Orpheus wasn't able to recall what they were doing. So, he shrugged, locking his paws. They hurt from rubbing against the tree bark and running for his life. "I don't know, honestly... all I know is we were probably doing something...."

"I was marking the territory," he remembered. "We were going to learn some fighting moves. That's it." He groaned. "I feel really tired right now. I'm out of shape."
