Determined ⋆ Loyal ⋆ Lawful Good ⋆ She/Her ⋆ Beefed Up T3
“One day I’ll be the greatest warrior of all the clans!”

Adderpaw wanted to bore her head through a solid rock by all the talking that was happening during this meeting. What was the big problem about just waiting to hear announcements then discuss them afterwards. It sounded like they were ritualistically killing these cats littermates every time they didn't get to speak the moment after the leader words escaped his breath. Was everyone just a bunch of kits? Honestly this displayed was shameful and everyone should be ashamed of themselves. She was sick of this clan.. These cats. Stars, she loved Riverclan but boy did it make itself hard to love.

A shudder passes down her spine as the black and ginger tom says the three warriors had died.

Stickpaw feels her insides twist. It disgusted them. To know not one, but three had died to complete stupidity. She feels icky, like something wasn't right but it wasn't worth the trip to Mistyshard. Ugh, she shudders again. Her mentor speaks and that's when alarm bones slam together in his mind. No no no no. You can't talk bad about a Leader's words. Leader's word is law, don't you remember?!?! Stickpaw's breathing kicks up a notch. Would Fadingsun think she thought those things because Morningmimic was their mentor?! Was she going to be exiled because he thought Stickpaw shared the ideas of their mentor?

Stickpaw didn't want to be exiled! They didn't want to be killed cause of a few words! The apprentice stands up. Her voice is shrill yet quiet enough so she didn't disturb the meeting.. hopefully. "You cant- You can't say that! Leader's word is law in the clan!" The apprentice looks on the verge of tears, clearly trying to not let the waterfall fall from her eyes. Stickpaw takes a few steps back, away from Morningmimic. Ears pinned as she sits down, looking at the ground as they try to not let the possible idea of being exiled or killed swirl deeper into her thoughts.

As she listens to Fadingsun's words and the obvious anger in his voice, Wrenpaw cannot help the low growl in the back of her throat. What. The. Hell?! What is wrong with some cats??? Are they all absolutely moronic that they go deliberately tempting war with a clan that has been on rocky terms with RiverClan since Beanstar's time as leader??? Do all these warriors have bees in their brains???????? Seriously, what does infiltrating WindClan even accomplish??? The clan they should be focused on is ThunderClan, and now those plans might even need to be put on hold!! No way would Wren forgive them for this, she doesn't care if the three dumbasses are already dead, she wants to find their sorry corpses and tear them to shreds for interfering with her revenge. Glowering at all the warriors around her, Wrenpaw hopes they can sense her fury.

"Maybe you're being punished because they're actions affect all of us," she mutters under her breath in response to Morningmimic's comment. Could he not see that? Is he blind? Obviously they're all being punished to make sure something like this doesn't happen again. How is that not clear? Can warriors not see past their own noses for StarClan's sake????

[ @Ladiebugg - for the moringmimic mention !! ]

He then glanced at his other apprentice. 'I simply don't see why it's fair that we're bein' punished for somethin' we ain't do. No big deal, hm?'

Nightshard was royally pissed. The tom in front of her was so stupid. He didn't even listen.

GarlicFeather felt sick to his stomach, was RiverClan this incapable of being mature and capable? Decent warriors were hard to come by nowadays and he was getting tired of it. Flutter Paw could have been one of those decent warriors but she was killed by some wannabe warrior wimp. Which means that some of these warriors will take lives they aren’t worthy to take, and he really wasn’t going to stand for this anymore. Waltzing into WindClan camp? Constant bickering at meetings? And furthermore, those three warriors went straight into the centre of WindClan’s camp for no reason. Knowing warriors nowadays it wouldn’t surprise him. Stars above, sometimes he wondered if the stupidity from all the supposedly fully trained and mature fellow warriors outweighed that of any apprentice RiverClan had. GarlicFeather ensured to play close attention to the new rule, no going near borders with other clans except for patrols and such? Sounded reasonable, although he did wonder if the sudden absence of cats going there besides being on border or herb or whatever patrols would effect the amount of loners willing to snoop around. And then some mousebrain had a question which he assumed had an obvious answer, why were those not involved for the trespassing being punished? Duh, if one warrior trespasses and gets killed the problem doesn’t go away just like that there was still confident intrusion and nothing done to deter anymore of it away. Although GarlicFeather did feel embarrassed that FadingSun even had to make such an announcement, he assumed these things were obvious but apparently not everyone had common sense nowadays. He didn’t have any doubts that MorningMimic would be having second thoughts on what they’d said after even an apprentice knew the answer. ‘Dying just meant that they didn’t really see the consequences of their actions, but it was definitely deserved for acting like they had more empty space in their heads than brain. And obviously some warriors (those three fools being proof of such) are stupid enough to try take revenge for them or something moronic which is why those restrictions had to be put up in the first place. And i think that minimising the amount of cats going onto our borders with others clans is not as much a punishment as a reasonable decision considering the rising tensions. If anything you should be thinking about the questions you ask better before saying them. Even an apprentice answered that question reasonably. ’ GarlicFeather blinked slightly, sheesh he hoped he didn’t say anything stupid. He really didn’t want to get exiled for unreasonably running his tongue, but he had pure intentions. GarlicFeather shifted his full attention to MorningMimic ever so briefly. ‘ In short, this goes beyond those warriors trespassing, clearly it’s getting tiring to watch warriors fail so frequently at what they train for and can’t even carry out simple duties or abide by the code.’ After GarlicFeather practically held his breath that this wouldn’t blow up in his face, he rarely ever gathered up the energy to do a talk like that at a meeting, like he was important, and he doubted he could bear it if this all made him fall hard but he’d just have to pick himself up after if it did and apologise.
@Ladiebugg (For MorningMimic!!
And Lemme know if there’s anything wrong with this post!! Im not keen on writing my characters respond to these things during meetings )

'If all of us are punished for a few mouse-brains breakin' the code, it'll get outta hand and soon RiverClan won't have any freedom, how I see it.'

Going into the meeting Seabreeze had known that whatever his leader said he wouldn't be very pleased to hear but are you kidding? This has got to be some very poor joke on Fadingsun or Dusklion's part, but that was disrespectful to think even if it was just his poor attempt to rationalize the fact that THREE of their WARRIORS! FULL GROWN WARRIORS! Broke into Windclan's camp and got themselves killed! Now then, Seabreeze didn't necessarily call himself a pacifist but he normally wasn't so nonchalont about the murdering of his clanmates but honestly they were probably better off without three warriors that thought breaking into another clan's camp was smart? And for what? The lionheart found his tail lashing and he suddenly fully understood his leader's anger. The following news was sort of surprising by itself but in the context the tom fully understood the necessity of them.

The lionheart made a note to do more checks focused on the clan borders to make sure that no more trouble makers decided to turn more of the clans on them. Seriously, they were already dealing with Thunderclan and now Windclan was likely going to attack, at least, he knows that Riverclan wouldn't let such a a show of disrespect and danger go without reaction. The only clan that they weren't activity in a feud with is Shadowclan and Seabreeze was going to attempt to keep that way in the best of his ability. Stars, how? He was still in such disbelief? How does that even happen??? Sebreeze wasn't even sure if he himself knew of Windclan's camp's location.

Then he glanced up around at his clan mates. Hmmm, this would effect apprentice training wouldn't it. He sighed, apprentices needed to be taught of their borders before their time as a warrior and as much as they could learn borders from patrols like Fadingsun said, that simply wouldn't work. That would mean three patrols to each of the borders, and with the inefficiency that was already facing the clans' apprentices. He winced as he was reminded by the lack of effort his own apprentice has been putting in, they haven't done anything at all. Seabreeze had lost his sister similarly to Rabbitpaw but he still got up and did his job even though he was so badly dissociated he couldn't remember a lick of it now. The lionheart sighed, he would keep trying, it hasn't been so long that he needed to bring it up to Fadingsun soon but it would be soon. He really hopes that Rabbitpaw can pull it together soon, it would be a shame if she was kicked from the clan but if she wasn't able to be an apprentice then she couldn't be a warrior and Riverclan didn't need more dead weight.

Seabreeze looked up at his leader again. Unsure of himself, but with a new kind of plan in his mind he had an idea that he wanted to run by the leader. It was simple but it was sometimes the simplest things that were the most effective at times. Next gathering was going to be lively with both Thunderclan and Windclan relations to attempt to fix while also keeping their own warriors in line. Ugh, what a mess, what a mess. Seabreeze was almost glad that his leader gave an option for cats who were always looking for a fight could leave. They don't need more drama. Stars, if Seabreeze was this tired he couldn't image what it was like for his leader and head lionheart. He hoped that they were doing alright. He added a note to himself that he should grab some prey on the way to Fadingsun's den, make sure that they both eat. When was the last time that Seabreeze ate something?

No matter. The lionheart looked up to his leader, before the reaction of his clanmates caught his attention. His eyes went from tired softness at his leader to icy and attentive as Morningmimic's mew reached his ears and he turned him. Stickpaw was quick to try and defend Fadingsun which was nice. Then before he could move in to take care the situation, many cats were defending Fadingsun's decision which was actually pleasant to hear. There was no point in beating a dead horse, as Morningmimic had been informed many times why he was also being punished. He glanced to Fadingsun, should be still do something. He didn't see why he should. If Morningmimic spoke out anymore than Seabreeze would be quick to deal with it.

Though he was also a bit concerned about Nightshard's aggressiveness. Yeah, he should step in shouldn't he? Seabreeze walked over and lightly brushed against Nightshard, "Thank you, I'll keep an eye on him, no worries." Seabreeze spoke lightly, trying to convey that Nightshard's assistance was no longer needed but that she wasn't in trouble. She was correct after all, Seabreeze just didn't want anger to turn into any yelling or fighting. Wrenpaw had stayed quiet about it so he didn't worry about her. Stickpaw seemed a bit stressed but not aggressive. He turned to Garlicfeather as he also spoke up to Morningmimic. More talking. They were all saying the same, albeit correct, things. But it was unneeded at this point. Seabreeze stared at Fadingsun. He wasn't sure if he should try and act on anything as this was all correct and mostly non-aggressive.

The lionheart finally walked to Morningmimic's side and addressed the rest of the cats. "Thank you, I have a handle on the situation now. Please give Fadingsun your attention, please." He hoped he didn't come off as rude. He really didn't. He just didn't want more cats talking over his leader as he addressed very important things that people need to listen to.

MorningMimic dipped his head to the Lionheart 'Of course, just wanted to voice a question, y'know?'

"Are you listening, starchild?"

Purrks: Agatha Kitty ACTIVE!

· · ─────── ·· ─────── ·

Owltalon instinctively raised to her paws, her muscles tensed like she would shoot straight through the forest when no-cat was looking. She swallowed a yowl of pure and utter frustration.

Three. Star, goodness... THREE? Bring them back from the dead! Their pelts intact and everything! Owltalon wanted to kill them again and this time she'd kill them herself!

Her matted fur bristled in all kind of directions, she probably looked like one of those fancy show dogs, but she could care less. After a few moments of mindless staring and enraged glares she sat back down...

But not until Talonpaw opened their maw. Owltalon couldn't help it, she clicked her teeth in utter disbelief. She thought about marching up to the apprentice and taking them on herself, but that was irrational, and it sure was stupid, stupid enough to get them both exiled. Even if it was important news, Owltalon was very set on kindly escorting the apprentice out of camp just as she'd done with Redmire. Speaking of her, the warrior seemed to be watching from the comfort of her den.

Owltalon glanced at her, a slightly curious glance, but she didn't address her. Fadingsun didn't so she would either.

Well, if Redmire could stay it was likely that Talonpaw could do the same despite the utter nonsense that rolled out of their mouth.

She padded up to the apprentice and sat next to them. "Hey Talonpaw," Owltalon greeted with a half smile. "I understand you're upset, we all are, but please, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it if you held your tongue just a bit longer. You've made some good points, dear, but now's not the time to share them."

Okay, that was kind enough, right? Even if every muscle in her body wanted to punch this cat in the throat she restrained herself and let her features smooth over and her fur lay flat.

[ Cherryswirl - 54 Moons]
She/Her | Chaotic Good | Warrior
Go With The Flow [Active]

Oooh... Ok, it was clear that a lot had been happening while Cherryswirl had been stuck with the twolegs. Having quickly made her way to the floodstone - she had been resting to help regain some of her strength back - she took up that same familiar spot she had always sat in. Golden eyes kept a stern gaze as the older warrior stared up at Fading - though her pelt prickled with slight amusement. Looked like the clan was still the same old clan after all. A relief... but stars above. So much bickering.

Tucking her tail around her paws, her head would tilt every so often to listen to someone sound off - most notable was Talonpaw. And well... Swirls agreed with the apprentice to an extent - not about Birdsnow or Mistyshard, but rather the punishment being pretty severe. Cherryswirl hummed softly in thought, her tail twitching ever so slightly. Ideas and discussion could come from this. Fadingsun was heavy-pawed when forced to be, but he wasn't ignorant to reason... And Cherryswirl was never one to just put her head down and accept things - she could definitely help reframe the situation,

"Fadingsun," She called out politely at some point after Talonpaw's rant, "Would it be possible to earn back that trust to patrol the borders freely? It is a steep price to pay, but if it's necessary for the clan's protection then I see no harm. Earning back trust through action is a good way to build bonds, but will this be reflected in border patrols as well? Should we look to patrol with a lionheart?" Some thought provoking ideas for the new leader - though her pelt burned with embarrassment. She had been gone for a while, not by her own paw, so would he still be accepting - or at least acknowledging - of her 'wisdom'?

Berryflare

Berryflare was sick and tired of this sad excuse for a damn clan. She wanted- no, she needed to leave. Though she couldn't. She had an apprentice to train who already had the experience of loosing a mentor. Why would she ever want to have her go through that again?
She chuckled at the thought of how fox-brained this leader was. Fadingsun surely wasn't the right pick. He - Great. Who was making all that noise? Talonpaw? Yes, that was his name. That apprentice was ranting with all the power of star-clan. Gosh he could have the been the leader himself talkin' like that! If he didn't shut his maw soon he would surely be exiled. Though she gladly didn't have to take care of that, Owltalon seemed to be taking care of it. In the meantime she had a thought.

Soon. Soon, I'll leave and go to ... Thunderclan maybe. Anything but here. Anything but this damn grave. Anything but this hell. It doesn't even matter any more. The moment Tulippaw is ready, I am leaving.

DUSKLION
she/her | riverclan's head lionheart | 27 moons | active purrks

So that was... a lot of anger coming from her brother. Dusklion glanced up at the rock from where she stood with Goldfish. She raised a brow as he went on about respect, then let her gaze flicker across the Clan - specifically landing on Talonpaw - before it went back up to her brother. As much as they - her and Fades - had both put in the hard work when it came to working for RiverClan, she could at least understand a bit where the 'paw was coming from. Not that she had seen Talon around camp all that much except for at meetings. But still - respect was something that was earned over time, like how Fury and Bitey and Lions had earned it. But it went both ways - even with his age, Talon deserved respect in his own way. So did Fades.

However before she could really think more on it, a strange scent flooded her nose and immediately her fur lifted up. "We're not done with this conversation," Dusklion told Goldfish before trotting through the crowd. She hadn't seen Antlermutter lately, in quite some time actually. "I don't know what you think you're doin'," came the low voice of Dusk as she attempted to nudge the missing cat towards the entrance, "but you can't go missin' from the Clan 'n then just come back in 'n pick up where you left off, not without someone sayin' anything about it. I never talked to you, nor did Fades. Birdsnow was too sick. So get out, 'n stay out. If you want to rejoin, do so the proper way. After a quarter moon, come back to the border 'n either Fades or Mists will meet you there to discuss the possibility of you rejoinin'."

She cast a quick glance up at her brother then back to the missing cat. She was faintly aware of Tinytoad muttering some nonsense about the WindClan deputy; for a brief moment the head Lionheart stiffened a but, but forced herself to relax as she tried to lead the missing warrior from the Clan.

[ Antlermutter - Desert Rain Frog - antler went missing during the 3/15-3/31 sweep, and did not complete a rejoining! therefor antler is considered missing and is being kicked out; you can try to have her rejoin by posting a starter in her character thread and mentioning either occultation or starry! ]

Man. Whenever Fadingsun happened to glare, it just made his already-ugly mug about ten times more revolting, especially when said glare was at her. Redmire scowled right back, upper lip twitching to reveal the briefest flash of teeth. What a fox-face.

Maybe if the news that followed hadn't been so captivating, Redmire might have held that expression a little longer. But talk of three of RiverClan's own invading WindClan's camp of their own accord and securing their own deaths caught her attention, and she discarded it, settling instead for raised brows and front-facing ears. Yes, surely this meant war.

The consequences, though... that would be very inconvenient. Pretty much on house arrest. Temporary exile, permanent exile, permanent exile, "get yourselves together", blah blah blah. Incredibly restricting and disappointing. Incredibly useless. The actions of three of them didn't reflect on all of them. Fadingsun kept acting like they were all unruly kits, incapable of controlling themselves. And while that were true for many, that didn't mean they all had the mental capacity of half a walnut.

The only words she caught next were Talonpaw's and she found herself scooting a bit closer to listen better. The little dude was right on all fronts. Fadingsun kept talking about biggering and bettering only to turn around and keep introducing inefficient methods of keeping them in check. A shame, really. She was trying to hold out hope that he'd be more effective then the ones before him at leading, but so far it seemed like nothing but failure.

jayfrost almost flinched as the head lionheart inserted herself into their conversation, but couldnt help but feel a bit relieved the more emotionally fragile part was taken from his paws, instead, he shifted a bit closer to his friend. tabbied tail curled around the bi coloured molly he couldnt help but think back to a few sunrises ago and worry. goldfish hadnt taken the pregnancy thing well and even though he hadnt seen her this distressed since he couldnt help but let the worry eat away at him, especially now that minkpaw, who seemed to be the only cat in that situation to know anything, couldnt be found.
besides the thoughs plaguing his mind he focussed his attention on fadingsun, and immediately had to surpress an eye roll. it wasnt like fadingsun didnt have a point, jayfrost could meet him on the basis of some cats needing to get themselved together, but the way he presented himself made him sick. jayfrost had never particularly enjoyed the structure they live in but the few previous leaders that felt like clanmates rather than acting like they were above everyone else made it a bit more bearable. and now he was sitting beneath another cat that was spitting venom down at cats he probably considered beneath him.
already upset with how this gathering was going he turned his attention back to goldfish a short nod, "i hope she's fine.." he hummed, "but i think she can handle herself" silver ears briefly flicked to the ever present in-fighting before returning back to goldfish just before a quiet sigh made its way out of his throat. the whole situation was just. bad.

Goldfish was slightly surprised by the intensity of the Head Lionheart. It was appearing that
Goldfish would have to rat someone out. That "Someone" Was some three-legged jerk who went
missing or hypothetically... nope, that wasn't an option. Just as she was about to say the cat's
name, Dusklion moved her attention away. I swear on StarClan's name I'll go out and I'll find her.
She growled quietly, She would freaking find Minks if it killed her. She had to. Reluctantly, the molly
accepted the attention her friend supplied. The scarred bicolor wasn't in the mood to deny him. Finding
Minkpaw was what she would do after the meeting. She had to. I'm going to find her after the
meeting. And the whole clan couldn't drag me away.
This was a vow she wouldn't break in a
million years. She needed Minks. And something in her heart was firm on believing Minks may need her
too.

Fadingsun's voice cut into her thoughts. Warriors decided to invade Windclan's Camp? What the heck?
That wasn't what she expected to hear. Three warriors up and waltzed their sorry way into WindClan's
camp and thought they could take it over? A sorry lot they were. Goldfish snorted in amusement. How
stupid. But her anger was still hot in her claws. Her eyes searched out Spotty in the crowd. She would
tell her sister her plan, but no way she would be able to stop her. It'd be impossible. She was resolute.
They were banned... from going... to the border? How was she supposed to go find Minks if she couldn't
go to the border and into Outsider territory? Well, she'd either A: Deal with the Punishing; or B: Go and
ask Fadingsun for permission. Dusklion would give it to her, she knew, but first she needed to ask the
leader. She wouldn't-- never in a million years- go and try to raid a camp alone. The idiots. And the fact
it made retaliating to ThunderClan harder? Not ideal. Wait a minute. Wait. Did... WindClan have an issue
with ThunderClan too? She quickly decided the idea was stupid. Suggesting they might see if Windclan
needed revenge on Thunderclan, and that the clan could help with that as a form of peace, was a bit too
wild. Almost possible, but there was no way Fadingsun would possibly agree to such a thing. The danger
and risk of further angering WindClan was too high. She didn't feel brave enough to suggest such a feat.

So how could they get WindClan to forgive them? Being honest was a good idea. Just accept Windclan's
smug 'Find out how to control your clan' and move on. That was all she could think of doing that wasn't
madness. That wasn't particularly smart. She said wryly. Suddenly everyone turned on some
warrior, Morningmimic. She didn't interfere. Morningmimic wasn't her problem. Her golden-and-black
tail slipped around her companion carefully, almost subconsciously. Jayfrost offered her comforting words,
and she reluctantly accepted them. Yeah... but I can't bear to stop worrying about her.
