He shrugged and turned away from it to sit down and let his head wander around, taking in the den around him. The way the sunlight filtered in through the inexplicable holes in the den, lighting the invading greenery filled him with a certain peace and awe, leaving him to wonder on all the mysteries surrounding such a place. He finally cut himself from his thoughts and turned to Berryspot, just remembering that she was even present. He smiled but suddenly wanted to be alone for a bit. ”Maybe we should head back? We wouldn’t want to be missed.” The looming thoughts invaded his serenity of all the tasks he needed to complete, especially if he were to want to try to get out to the border that night to see if she was still nearby… Physically shaking to rid himself of his thoughts in case Berryspot could see right through him, Blackfir trotted towards the entrance of the den and back out into the open forest.

Berryspot yawned and nodded. With a stretch of her front paws, the molly got up and headed outside. That place truly was beautiful... probably one of her top ten places to visit. Other than... nope nope nope. Couldn't think about that right now.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
Oh wow, it seemed Sundust had come, upon something intriguing indeed. It did seem that Crocuspaw had ventured out on his own. It wasn’t the most concerning, seeing as he was still in ThunderClan territory, and his out-of-clan background suggested that Crocuspaw had at least some competency in surviving alone. Still, rules needed to be followed.
“I’m not sure if you’ve had this explained yet-“ Sundust was pretty certain this rule was abundantly clear, “-but for future reference, apprentices can’t leave the camp without a warrior. Seeing as we’re already out, though, I don’t see the harm in Vineglow or myself accompanying you to… whatever it is you want to go see.” His eyes flicked to Vineglow, awaiting her response to his take on the situation.

sunny hasn’t ever acknowledged or really noticed crocus, so he won’t notice his change in demeanor for the time being. ]

Re: ThunderClan Territory
[ @ SplashyLumi, @ Naiad idm whatever your characters think/feel towards mine so long as it's reasonable for the character! ]
The tom stands there listening to Vineglow, and then to Sundust. A gross taste enters his mouth as the she-cat talks about strangeness, and his eyes twitch. "Strange is subjective, isn't it?" he questions. "What do you know about me?" His tone was tempered, but childishly defiant. Looking crossly at the ground, Crocuspaw's tail lashes.
"No one told me anything yet," he mutters in response to the other tom's words. At least that much was true, and needed no further creativity from the apprentice to come up with. "What are mentors? Cats who are supposed to show you what to do, or are they for cats who are new to the Clan?" Turning, he sniffs dismissively. "Mine's not shown up since Sparrow introduced us. Or is that okay?" Accepting the tom's complicity, the apprentice begins to walk through the undergrowth again.
Unless either older cat backed out, they'd be walking towards the edge of the territory, where no Clan claimed- the outskirts. A band of terrain that stretched between ThunderClan, and a somewhat-near somewhat-far nofur community.

~Vineglow, She/Her, ThunderClan Warrior~ @Naiad.
Ears flickering in annoyance, Vineglow huffed “You're an former outsider who possibly faked a injury to join ThunderClan”Hopefully that was good enough as the black tabby wasn't going to say anymore. She felt uncomfy around the apprentice like a strange feeling. “To answer your question, Mentors are in charge of teaching apprentices about clan life. Though any warrior can do so if said apprentice asks.” As they walked, Vineglow had a BAD feeling about this as they trotted to the outskirts. The place of outsiders.

Re: ThunderClan Training Cave
As Dunestorm walked past the training cave he stopped and looked for a moment, I don't know where I might make a friend, I wish I actually knew some cats here. But he kept on walking.

Re: Wisteria Falls
**Blackfir** @ Robin feather
After meeting up with his apprentice in camp, the white and black tom moved quickly on to the camp entrance and into the territory. He hadn’t had a chance to do much with Juniperpaw yet so he was excited to have the chance to take him out on his first hunting patrol. They’d get to see more of the territory and get some hunting training in.
He turned to his apprentice as he padded towards the glittering waterfall. ”This is another great piece of the territory. Its a popular hang out spot, especially in Greenleaf, for its cooling mists and deep shade.” He slowed as they approached and put his nose to the air, patting his lips slightly. The scent of mouse and thrush hit him first, strongly. He crouched down and spoke lower. [B]”You should be able to recognize some prey, even from just the prey pile. Live prey smells somewhat different than freshkill but you should be able to pick up the familiarity of it. What do you smell?”[B]

Re: Muskrat Mire
Being punished for not completing a patrol was weighing heavily on her mind. This was the first time she had been punished for a patrol, and definitely something she did not want to repeat in the future. Maybe if she heard Russetflare call her name then the large she-cat apprentice would come to participate in the patrol, but Copperfire had called Russetflare's name too... There were so many cats being called by him. Did no patrol report back? If so, then it's no wonder why he was so furious...
Now approaching the assigned hunting grounds, Flamepaw shook her head. Being distracted by something that heavy would certainly threaten her chances of completing the punishment. Muskrats were big and dangerous, so there was no way she'd put herself at risk for prey. I'll only do that if ThunderClan is in dire need of it...
It seemed like Russetflare didn't bother to show up to the punishment, let alone not even spotted in the camp when punishments were being dealt with. Well, that was a shame. She was heading out into Muskrat Mire alone. There was no way she could go after a muskrat without a warrior being present. A mouse or two should suffice, right? I'll get two, one on behalf of Russetflare... ugh, they didn't even show up!
Angry that she had to deal with the punishment alone, Flamepaw unsheathed her claws and sprinted the rest of the way to the location. Growling along the way, of course. By the time she reached the humid bog, she was panting slightly. Great, now my fur is going to stick to my skin! Just great!! But there's no time for that now, I have to focus... and remain calm... Taking a few deep breaths, the warrior-to-be slowed down and waited patiently to spot/hear mice scurrying along the bog.
It didn't take her long to hear them, but she had to be fast because they were wandering around, no doubt they were alert and ready to run in case a predator came along. Flamepaw didn't bother to wave her tail around like a kit as she began to sneak up on a small brown mouse. It had noticed a bit of wind rustling the grass, but nothing more. I stick out like a sore paw! But I have to do this... for ThunderClan. It didn't smell like any other ThunderClanner has come to Muskrat Mire in a few moons, so she would definitely stick out like a sore paw if the wind decided to run across the bog.
It took a longer time than she had thought, but after some time, she carried two mice in her jaws looking quite happy with herself. Now all she had to do was report back to Sparrowstar and Copperfire. And then her punishment would be over. Over. Done with. Never has to be done again. Tail held high, Flamepaw's bright green eyes shown in the light of the sun as she made her way back to camp.

Re: Wisteria Falls
Juniperpaw
Juniperpaw sniffed. ”Maybe squirrel?” Juniper prayed to StarClan that he’d gotten it right. He didn’t want to seem dumb to his mentor and fellow apprentices. Ewing an apprentice was no joke and he was having a tough time getting used to not being in the nursery all day, napping.
“And a mouse?” he added, to through another option out there.

Re: Wisteria Falls
**Blackfir** @ Robin feather
The young warrior watched his apprentice with his full interest as he’d waited for Juniperpaw to answer. When the young apprentice gave his answer, Blackfir cocked his head slightly but couldn’t deny that there was a scent of squirrel, though there were others that seemed more blatantly. He brushed off the thoughts considering that the young tom wouldn’t have extensive life experience and squirrel could very likely be what he had most often encounter so he was quicker to recognize it. Then he threw mouse out as well and Blackfir’s ear twitched, a slight curious frown beginning to pull at his features. He couldn’t tell if the apprentice was just guessing at this point or if he actually picked out the scents of mouse and squirrel. He knew training meant from the bottom but he hadn’t realized what that truly meant. For now he decided it didn’t matter. ”I can pick up both of those so you’re likely on the right track. Watch closely to what I do.” He lowered himself into a compact crouch, keeping his tail straight behind him and completely still, his belly fur just hovering over the ground. He narrated his technique as he went in a breathy whisper. ”You have to be silent, every move has to be deliberate. Your crouch should be low and controlled. Be quick but more than that you must be conscious of every move you make. You can take a little linger if you’re quiet enough.” He took in another deep breath over his tongue and turned his attention towards the thrush. ”Bow you’ve just gotta locate your target, put yourself into position, and…” Lifting slightly to skirt around the brush until he got a narrow view of the slight bird perched over a small puddle, dipping into the water and thrashing about intermittently. He stopped, gathered himself, waited until the bird distracted itself with preening, then launched. His paws landed neatly on the bird and his bite to its neck was quick and swift, dropping it limp instantly. Blackfir lifted his catch and turned back to Juniperpaw, hoping the apprentice had witnessed it and thanking Starclan for not making him look a fool in front of his new apprentice.
Dropping the feathered prey at Juniperpaw’s paws, he mewed, ”Go ahead and get a good sniff, make sure to memorize it. This is a thrush. Knowing the prey you’re going after tells you what technique you need to use so it’s really important. Birds tend to get scared off easily but they’re also pretty easy to sneak up on if you’re quiet and put yourself behind them. Patience is important too since you need to wait until they start doing something besides looking for signs of danger before you make your move. Though if you mess up, they do generally fly just over the ground for a few tail lengths so you could still possibly catch them.” Picking the thrush up, he dug a hole and dropped it in, covering it with the fresh dirt before looking back at Juniperpaw. ”Burying it keeps it safe until we can come back for it so we don’t need to be dragging around all of our freshkill and reducing our chances of catching more. You wanna try now? Or do you want to watch another?”

Re: Muskrat Mire
Russetflare silently creeped up a muskrat. He bunched his haunches, ready to leap. He jumped high into the air. He landed on the animal and swiftly killed it. He picked it up and dragged it back to camp.
