Miststone crouched, watching a large, plump mouse scurry across the ground. The she-cat wanted to get away from all those Shadowclan cats, and what better time then when almost everyone was at the Gathering? She wanted to hunt, as she always did before Shadowclan´s arrival in Windclan, and with her kits on the way, she didn´t have much time to do so.
She crouched farther, ready to spring, when suddenly, a rustle came from behind her. She turned her head as the mouse darted away and out of sight. Two toms padded out of the trees, and froze in their steps when they saw Miststone.
The first was a big fellow, a brown, long furred tabby with green eyes and covered in many scars. The second was more sleek, and a lighter brown. He, too, was a tabby, except he had blue eyes.
They looked as surprised as Miststone did. ¨M-mistpaw...¨ The larger one stammered. The second was speechless.
Miststone stared at them, her eyes wide with shock. Then she laughed joyously. ¨Marshpaw! Leafpaw!¨ She ran to her brothers and licked their ears playfully, as she had done when she was a kit. ¨Your alive!¨ She started to cry happily.
Leafpaw smiled and purred, ¨Actually... its Marsh and Leaf now.¨ Miststone shrugged, ¨At least your alive! Why did you leave Windclan?¨ She added.
But, she was interrupted, as a little she-cat, a light brown tabby, ran out of the trees to the right. She ran into Marsh and grunted.
¨Sorry, Sorry S-¨ She stopped, staring up at him. ¨Marshkit?¨ Miststone tasted the air and sensed that this cat was a kittypet, but why did she look so familiar?
The cat glanced over at Leaf and Miststone, ¨Mistkit? Leafkit?¨
Leaf grinned and said, ¨Hello, Frecklekit!¨
The four siblings laughed and talked.

The moon old kit was walking through the forest. He had snuck away from his mom and family. He hissed as he walked in on the other cats.

A beautiful white she-cat with tan patches heard cats laughing and talking. "Dash! Root! Shade! Over here!" She hissed. Her three companions hurried over to her.
"Kali! What is it?" Dash hissed softly. Shade narrowed his yellow eyes.
Root said nothing.
"Trespassers." She snarled softly. "Root, go make sure Sunset is in her den. Protect her if needed." The yellow tabby tom nodded and ran off. "Dash, Shade, come with me." She slipped into the bushes and appeared in the clearing, flanked by the two large toms. "Who are you, and why are you on our territory?!" Kali snapped, unsheathing her claws. She didn't want to fight, but this was her place, her home. Invaders were trouble.

Whisker glanced back and forth from Jay, to Kali and the toms behind her. Marsh, however, smiled down at the kit. Now he remembered! This was one of Lily´s kits! ¨I am Marsh,¨ He said, ¨I am your mother´s friend.¨ Miststone´s fur prickled and she hissed at Kali, Dash, and Shade, unsheathing her claws. Leaf cocked his head at them as Marsh stepped in front of Jay protectively. He did not want to fight, and he did not want to see a young kit get injured.
¨Because we live here?¨ Leaf said, his head still cocked. He glanced over at his sisters and brother and shrugged. ¨For a few seasons now.¨

Mulberry sat down and began to rearrange her nest, keeping a watchful eye on her wrestling kits.

Tigerlily

Tigerlily heard her brothers scuffling in the den, but didn't join in. They would just say that she was too small and might get hurt. Instead, she wandered over to an opening in the wooden slats and peered out.

Jaggedfang watched his sons play happily.

Embertail felt thrush's head hit his legs and he fell onto his belly. "oof." He mewed.

Tigerlily glanced around her and then back into the tunnel. No one seemed to be paying any attention to her. Cautiously, she stepped through the gap until she was standing outside on the grass. Tigerlily purred. She would go exploring all by herself.
