jaykit quickly jump to his paws, letting out an breathy 'i'm up! i'm up!'. he gaze at quailkit with half-lidded eyes, tilting his head to the left as she spoke. his head was so.. so very fuzzy. he just mindlessly nodded, desperately trying to blink his sleep away. warriors, somethin somethin, sun. sun. stupid sun..

he lean against minksong for support, ''ma..? c..can't you tel..ll the sun to wait a b..bit longer?" jaykit whined softly. he didn't see why the sun couldn't just wait to rise. he wanted to sleep longer.. the small kit frown.

Minksong felt her flank being poked and the loud noises that signaled to her that her kits had begun waking up, and by the sound, Quailkit was already waking up the entire clan with her squeaking. Opening her eyes slowly she saw that the nursery was still dark, and she sighed. "Quailkit.. be quiet little one." Leaning over she gave a lick to Jaykit's soft fur, "Little one, I have no idea why your littermate decided everyone should be awake right now." With her tail she gave Quailkit a slight flick over the ears before picking her up and placing her between her paws to start washing her. "If you go outside, you need to wait for Frogkit to be awake. I don't want her to wake up without anyone. And, quiet your voice. The warriors will have need of their sleep still, they're hopefully going to bring you something tasty to eat today."

Marshgorse pad into the den looking at his kits and mate, his tall body barely fitting and his tan tabby coat groomed "Good morning." He chuckled dropping a rat. The tall tom sat behind them licking Minksong's ear affectionately. @Fae @Arie @x ghostie @shortstack

At Quailkit's hollering, Frogkit quickly hopped to her paws, beginning to bounce around as she was wont to do,"Sunrise! Sunrise!" she chanted, joining in on her sister's noise-making. She didn't pay much mind to her mother or father, much more focused on creating a bit of chaos in the moment. She wasn't quite sure why it was so necessary to get up today but she was having fun so it didn't matter too much to the small tabby.

Asterrose felt a wave of relief as she spotted the deputy. She watched his gaze turn to concern as he padded over to meet her. "We hunting in the Waterbarn when two raccoons attacked us." A shiver ran through her body as she remembered the sour, fierce creatures. Asterrose sent a ripple down her spine, ruffling the fur there. "They had cornered Falconpaw before Whiteshadow and I had gotten there. None of us were too badly hurt, but Cavehowl never showed up." Her tail flicked as she told her report. "We also didn't manage to bring back any prey; we were too busy trying to escape the waterbarn and the raccoons. I didn't want Falconpaw to get hurt and I didn't know how much battle training he had had before." the molly tacked on as an afterthought.

At the deputy's praise, the tom felt warmed a little bit inside. He wasn't typically a prideful or vain cat, but he felt damn proud in this moment. He nods brusquely before casting a glance as Icestar, who seemed none too happy that the rogue had left without a scratch. But, her sickness was getting worse and it showed as she gave a rattling cough. Nettlespark frowns once she leaves and looks again at the male standing nearby.

"She's on the mend, right?" he asks Beastspark quietly. "Irispaw came over from ThunderClan, and Thunderhowl..." He didn't want to outright ask if the deputy thought their leader was going to die, and he had no idea the severity of such a question when he didn't know how many lives she had to spare for this illness. But Beastspark himself was doing a lot these days, and that was also a little bit worrisome when their strong leader was tucked away in her den, the thick scent of disease rolling out in waves. But if the deputy took offense to the young warrior's prying, then so be it.

Owlkit tossed the leaf into the air, tensed up his legs, springing into the air to take it from Cottonkit.
This is fun. he thought. I like having friends.

He jumped up to the leaf, but quickly bumped into Owlkit before he could grab it. Cottonkit shook his head and jumped towards Owlkit.
