She heard shadowfur's voice and walked out the warriors den it was a great day for a patrol, she walked to shadowfur and said 'I am ready for the patrol...where is owlstripe?' He sat down waiting for owlstripe.

Songbreeze dips her head "Yes, Shadowfur" Even if she is being punished, she is still proud of her prey. She holds her head high as she picks up her prey and dips her head again to Shadowfur then she pads to the prey pile.

Patrols are due 1/30 11:59p ET

[Report by filling out the form in the Herb Storage. Patrol leaders who fail to report and warriors who do not show up will face punishment. If you can give me an OOC reason for your cat not showing up on their patrol within 2 days you will be excused from the patrol. Inform me before the due date and request extra time on your patrol if it takes longer than you expected.

No more than 5 herbs per cat.

Padding out of his den, Elmshadow dropped a varied bundle of herbs onto the frozen ground of the clearing then let his green gaze move around to find cats available for an herb patrol. It'd been a while and his stores were showing the affect so, despite his desire to be doing anything besides kitsitting his clan into completing their patrols, it was a necessity befitting his role.

"Mothcloud, take Sunstep to Shadow's Break for dock leaves and chickweed." He pushed forward the broad green dock leaf, crumbling and brittle but still the general appearance of what the two would be looking for growing in the territory, along with the stem of fat leaves.

"Fallenflower, go into the territory for burdock roots and mallow leaves. Bring Moonshine with you." He pushed forward the winding burdock root along with the once-sweet smelling fuzzy mallow leaf. "You'll have to dig up the burdock root. The plant is a tall stem with large round burrs. Try to take no more than a root or two from each plant. If we can avoid killing the plant, that would be ideal."

"Maplebranch take Wildpaw to the Icy Heartlands to collect mallow leaves and sour maple." He pushed forward the thick round green leaf of the mallow and the small, thin withering sprig of parsley to show Maplebranch and Wildpaw what they'd be looking for.

"And Branchfire, you'll join me in croaking swamp for catmint." He placed a paw beside the delicious-smelling leafy plant. Catmint was weak against the frost and, with leafbare well under way, the cold was giving him little hope of finding surviving plants. At the same time he didn't want to be caught without it on paw in case another outbreak of greencough hit the camp. So, while Croaking Swamp was a bit of a trek, he was hoping the sodden ground would have given some protection against the frost.

ugh! wildpaw was in the middle of getting her beauty sleep when she was called for a herb patrol. she dragged herself out of her den and brought her hydromoss along with her of course and looked for whoever her patrol partner was and looked at them expectantly. "oh hii there you are maplebranch!! instead of just standing here i think it would be a GREAT idea to actually do this patrol!!"

Maplebranch snarled a bit. But she flicked her tail. ¨I guess, you lead.¨

"ME?? bestie i barely know my way around shadowclan's dusty territory. now of course if i really put my mind to it i could totes find us whatever these herbs are but you're the warrior here so.. i'm not doing that." wildpaw was confused on why maplebranch would have her.. the ever so young and well groomed apprentice lead the way around territory she didn't know.

Hearing Elmshadow's instructions, Branchfire made his way over to the grayscale medicine cat. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too kind. The air, which felt colder than falling in icy water, cut through his fur and made him shiver. At least it wasn't snowing. Or hailing. Yeah, definitely could be worse. Branchfire nodded to Elmshadow, assuring him he was aware of the task at paw. Croaking Swamp wouldn't be a bad place, hopefully with the cold weather the water wouldn't be as... swampy. Branchfire nearly shuddered at the thought of the clumpy mud clinging to his fur during Greenleaf. But it was cold, so that meant ice. Wonderful. Waiting for the medicine cat, he prepared to leave camp.

"It is sadly hard to catch something when you're teaching an apprentice how to hunt. So,no." He added swiftly to her observation. A tone of annoyance slightly attached to it. But I do need to go wash this muck off,and so does Daypaw as he practically ate some." he asked her,a smile on his face. Only mentally adding 'your highness' to the ending of it.
