Re: WindClan Clearing
@BILL.
Brightstar had been in a daze. Acting out and attacking anything that threatened to near her. These monsters had over taken Camp and killing cats! Of course she'd fight them off. Only thing was, they never left. They didn't run off or anything. It frustrated her.
Feeling a drop of water fell, almost landing in her eye. Actually looking around the creamy molly, currently covered in mud and blood realized it was raining. And had been for awhile judging by the area around her. No, it was storming not just raining.
The scene around her slowly started to fade, or the illusion did. Standing there, fur spiked, claws out Bright didn't know what was going one. Reality struck as the so called monsters turned into her Clanmates. She had been fighting her Clanmates the whole time! Yet her mind was so foggy she couldn't remember it all. Had she killed someone?! Was it possible that everyone had been killed. All her friends and kin.
Eyes wide, Brigtstar tucked in her claws and backed up. Was this her doing? with an oof the molly tripped over something. No. Someone! Their pelt covered in scratches while blood pooled in the rain, eyes lifeless. Startled Brightstar scrambled up, getting bloody mud coated over her. She couldn't even feel her own injuries that littered her body. I.. I didn't.. did I...? She asked herself backing away more. This was terrible! Eyes starting to burn from possible tears Bright turned around looking at all the cats that had died in camp. The lifeless bodies of Clanmates who were killed in a living nightmare.
Suddenly hearing her name Brigthstar turn, eyes scanning through the rain and piles of cats. Finally she spotted the mud covered tattered figure that had called out to her. It was Foxpudge. Thank StarClan he's alive. She thought tugging towards him. "Foxpudge." She answered. He alive but who else was. Dawnstrike? Twilightshine? Beeblaze? Cottonspirit? Quiverpaw? Nightpaw? Snailblossom or Pinewish? Any of them could be dead.
Brightstar opened her mouth to talk but ended up closing it again unsure what to say. What was there to say? She couldn't remember for sure what had happened. They could have tried to kill each other she didn't know. So, she just remained silent.

Brightstar blinked at the young molly. Wouldn't bad dreams be something to discuses with her mentor, kin or maybe Beeblaze? The creamy feline wasn't to sure what to answer with. To her it sounded like nightmares or something and of course to a young cat they wouldn't feel real. "I think that might be something you should talk to Beeblaze about. If you think it is of importance he should know." Bright explained.

@Alaska
Brightstar let out a slight laugh at Dawnstrikes gasp. See if things went as planned WindClan really would flourish. WindClan would have all of it's high ranks and would be able to thrive through leaf-bare. "I wish you could have, but I'm sure you'll get to experience it one day." She practically beamed. This was really nice and she wasn't as nervous as she had thought she would be. Though that could be that she was so tired she couldn't prosses it right?
Bright let out a half purr half laugh as Dawn nuzzled her. Right! She hadn't told her yet! "Actually it's Brightstar now. Blazingstar changed my name while I was there, he said it was in symbolism of WindClans bright future." She explained giving another smile. "But Dawn, I've got something I want to ask you." Shifting so that she could look directly at her best friend she looked serious. "Dawn, I want you to be my deputy." Brigthstar explained her brown eyes looking into her friend's blue ones. She really wanted her to accept.

@xeno
Brightstar had been cleaning her wounds. She had a number of them after what had happened and she was going to take Foxpudge's advice and clean them. He suggested she did so after the first fight days ago when Beeblaze was still alive. Before chaos erupted. Now after the many days of, she didn't know what, he was gone, a lot of cats were. Found wounded, dead or just missing. The haunting fact was that Clanmates had killed each other thinking they were some kind of monsters. That and that Bright could hardly remember anything that had happened. Had she killed?
The bushy tailed molly's thoughts were cut off, along with her grooming, as her name was called rather abruptly. Raising her head Brightstar focused her eyes on the large tom. At least he apologized for randomly bursting in her den. That must mean whatever he needed wasn't really bad. Puling herself in a full sitting position she just nodded. What could he have to say or ask.
"I.. want to replace Beeblaze as medicine cat.. If you would allow it."
Brightstar blinked at this. Someone was offering to replace Beeblaze? That was good right? Honestly she had no idea how to go about this so having a warrior ask lifted a weight off her shoulders. "You want to be the new Medicine cat?" She asked in confirmation, hoping he didn't change his mind. "I have no reason to object to that. Saves me the trouble of hunting someone." Brightstar added a slight laugh at the end.

Mistyfern tried to mask his surprise. That was quicker than he expected. He'd thought she might've at least asked why. Was that normally how things like that worked or was Brightstar just lazy? Disappointment gnawed at him. He'd planned a heartfelt speech and everything.. The more he thought about it the more embarrassed he felt, so he shook his head and quickly decided it wasn't worth pressing. "Great.." The tom huffed, sounding thoroughly unenthused. "I think.." He added under his breath, just casually enough to go unnoticed. Ugh.. This was uncomfortable. He never really liked talking to superiors- the thought of sucking up to another cat made him sick- but this was on a whole new level of awkward. He rolled his shoulders. Well, he couldn't just sit there staring at her like a creep..
"I don't mean to be rude, Brightstar.. But aren't you usually supposed to.." Mistyfern sighed, pausing a moment to look for the right words. "I 'dunno.. Be a little.. 'pickier'?" That was terrible. He sounded like an idiot. He should've just taken it and kept his mouth shut. Now she might change her mind.. "I ain't sayin' you uh.. don't know how to do your job, of course." Oh Starclan, shut up. He was just rubbing salt in the wound at this point. What was his plan if she did start to ask questions? Was he just going to recite his stupid little speech? I'm a damned fool.

"There has to be an explanation for this." Tawnystep closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to settle her thoughts and think of all the possibilities. "I went to the far side of the border and started feeling sick after hunting. Then I came back and blacked out while talking to- and attacking- Brightstar. I woke up not too long after to see shadows surrounding me as the camp went haywire, and now here I am, perfectly fine after attacking you. It's so strange." She sighed and looked at Twilightshine once more, hoping that the other had any ideas.

A touch of relief shows up for a heartbeat and disappears as Twilight forced her tense body to relax at Tawnystep words, worrying about if her clanmate was going to attack her or not wasn't good for the molly's heart. As she draws her tongue along her chest, her brows furrow when the warrior mentions where she's been. Twilightshine hadn't been anywhere near the far side of the border, perhaps that had something to do with it? The deputy's head shoots upwards as the first sprinkle of rain hits her pelt, as the cold water begins to pound against her exposed wounds, a shiver of pain shoots through her body with each harsh drop as a storm brew. She pushes it aside in favor of looking around the clearing, the yowling and screeching had died down. A hint of uneasiness grips her heart as she notices the bodies that litter the ground. The grip twists and stabs when she sees that some of the bodies aren't breathing...
Her eyes search for the familiar pelt of Brightstar or some other cat. "I'm sure we can make sense of this." Twilightshine pushed aside her disheartened emotions so they didn't shine through her eyes like most of her emotions did. "Let's see if we can find Brightstar or some of our clanmates, they might be able to give us more insight into what just happened." She told the warrior, forcing herself to her paws. It hurt to move but it was irrelevant compared to the ache in her chest as her heart shudders. She patiently waited for Tawnystep before moving and searching the clearing, careful not to step on any of the fallen.

If you had walked in now you couldn’t have suspected windclan, just hours ago, had been in horrible turmoil. It left many hurt and even some dead.
What was that.
Few had suspicions on what it could have been, things he had heard such as dark forest possession and even something about the moon not being aligned. It was as if they hadn’t been affected themselves, it was that wretched smell that drove them mad. He’d found that out a few days into the chaos, proud of himself for tracking that down. Not that anybody would’ve understood if he had told them anyways. The smell lingered on some cats breaths. However for the most part the scent was gone. So to his understanding the threat was no more. Unlike most other warriors he would sit in the clearing, much like he was doing now, and nurse his wounds. To his knowledge he’d butted heads with multiple cats- or at least that’s what it looked like. His sides were scored up in cross cross slashes, shallow but still painful to get around with. He’d spent most of the morning alone rasping his tongue anxiously up his side enough so he managed to tear away the scabs. A nervous habit of his that was far to hard to break.
As he went unhappily about the task of cleaning up the wounds he’d carelessly picked to pieces he was surprised to see another shape lumber out into the open. A glowing misty blue complexion with flecks of grey dotting his muzzle. A senior warrior who for the most part seemed pretty unscathed- he’d managed to avoid the turmoil of the last few days. He flicked an ear rasping his tongue over his flank a few more times, but still looking at the tom out the top of his eyes. That was smart. He wondered whether or not he’d left the clan for a few days and roughed it in the territory. Even then there had been fighting. He pulled his head back up to sit in an erect position as the tom approached. Coyotes ears flattened but didn’t say a word. He didn’t see him ”Pick another spot” before he could even collect his thoughts he found himself barking an order at the tom his eyes level. ”can’t you see I’m sitting here?”

Just as the grizzled blue tom was preparing to take a generous bite out of his dinner, he was rudely interrupted by a voice that made him want to claw out his ears and bury them. Disgust crawled up his spine like a thousand scuttling insects. He didn't think he'd ever hear a voice that made him want to reflexively retch, but here he was feeling like he'd taken a boulder to the gut. As he glanced down despairingly at the hare, he wondered if someone up above had it out for him. This was just cruel.. He snorted like an angry bull and punted it, watching it land in a cloud of dust a few foxlengths away.
I'm gonna strangle this kid. His lips drawn into a scowl, Mistyfern snapped his head around to glare in the direction of the voice.. and immediately regretted it. Oh sweet Starclan, that was one ugly mug. The poor feller looked like he'd headbutted a monster then jumped face-first into a badgerhole. Did he really not notice him? Maybe his eyesight was worse than he'd thought..
"Yes.. unfortunately." Mistyfern groaned disinterestedly. "I don't see your name on it, but If you want your 'spot' so bad, you're welcome to come move me yourself." He raised a smug brow and shifted until he was comfortable again, flicking his tail as if to say "bring it on".

Brightstar twitched her ears at his response. Shouldn't he be more excited or something? Just a simple unexcited great. Did he want her to tell him no? This made no sense to her. Noticing he was uncomfortable Bright flicked her tail. "You can sit down..." She offered realizing he wasn't going to leave. Not that she was trying to get rid of him.
At his comment about her not being picky enough she stayed quiet. WindClan needed a medicine cat, he asked to be it. Didn't it make sense to accept? He did have a point though. It wasn't like she'd let anyone become the Medicine cat. He was one of her warriors. So, Brightstar just watched him talk as if he was trying to cover up an insult. Is that how he meant it? Ugh, she should pay more attention to how cats say things. Technically picking a medicine cat isn't my job... She almost blurted out, well in this case it was but it was much easier when the previous Medicine cat picked an apprentice. "I don't know. You're no exactly taught how to do every thing in every situation." She responded before regretting it. No, she shouldn't be getting an attitude. Sighing she looked up at the tom. "Look, WindClan is in need of a Medicine cat, you are asking to take that role. Am I supposed to assault you with questions? StarClan knows. The point is we have cats dying with no one taking care of them. If you want to tell me why you want to take up the role that's fine, I'd like to hear it." She explained. No she was probably not the best cat at making decisions like this and she hated not knowing what to do. Basically WindClan needed this.

Tawnystep did as the deputy said, standing up and following her. She tried to ignore all of the bodies lying around them, many of which either weren't breathing or were on the verge of death. Dread settled in her gut, though another feeling circled with it. She couldn't pinpoint the feeling, and instead shoved it away, focusing on the task at paw. The russet molly kept a close eye on Twilightshine, making sure that she was alright. "Are you sure you don't need help with your wounds?" Tawnystep frowned, voice filled with concern.
As the rain pelted down over the clearing, the sickness she felt before completely faded away. No shadows, no fear. Only the guilt of harming her leader and deputy. Blood pounded in her ears as she walked, every pawstep feeling heavy. Tawnystep squinted through the rain, not enjoying the feeling of it on her pelt. But that was the least of her worries. She attempted to search for Brightstar in the crowd of cats, both dead and alive, bi-colored eyes flicking across the clearing as they tried to pinpoint the location of the she-cat.

"Brightstar..." There was relief in his voice as he saw her, body deflating. He was exhausted mentally and physically, and he was uneasy.. who was even left? How many cats had died?
How many did he kill?
Swallowing, he spoke again: "I think you might want to call a Clan meeting. This.. we're going to need to find out who's left and bury the dead." @Fuzzy

He found Bramblebear's way of speaking a little odd, but he didn't comment on it, as he hadn't so far. It wasn't because he didn't want to be rude, Quicksilver didn't have a fear of that. It was simply because he didn't care. As long as he could understand her, he would be fine. "Awh come on Bramblebear, I doubt I scared all the prey off." He purred, short tail twitching lightly as he stood, picking up the rabbit between his jaws. "Let's move further upwind, we should find more prey. And I promise I won't scare off anymore prey." The tom purred, flicking his ears for emphasis of his statement.

She gave a flick of her ear before moving away from Quicksilver, heading towards the area he spoke of. Bramblebear moved quickly, her long legs carrying her across the ground with ease. The silver tabby looked around to watch for any prey that hadn't been scared off, her tail twitching from side to side. She glanced back at Quicksilver occasionally, watching to make sure that he wasn't doing anything else to frighten away every bit of prey in the Clans. A quiet huff escaped her, the faintest sense of annoyance settling low in her gut. Bramblebear didn't focus on it, however, and instead continued to move forward, nose, ears, and eyes alert for anything to catch.
