Soaringpaw noticed the questioning glance Rowanmane gave her; oh, uhm.."Just take the rest of it" she responded after she was done picking some of them. Yea, that's good enough; As long as what she said was clear enough then it's good enough. Three celandine; The apprentice still had some space on her to grab more herbs if she could find any. Which..she'll try to search for. Was it just her or was Rosehawk still following them until now? Shouldn't the older she split up a bit further than that? Soaringpaw knew Rowanmane said to not split up too far but that wasn't that far— you know what? Unless the older she was planning something Soaringpaw didn't really care what she does as long as it's not..stealing her Goldenrod- why was she still thinking about that?!

When she started to look around again, Celandine in hand, she can't help but let her eyes settle onto a something on the ground. It wasn't too far from where Soaringpaw had found some of the Celandine, but something about it was off that the apprentice had a feeling she should probably..check on that. Just a small glance.

What she saw though, was just some plant that someone or something seemed to have accidentally stepped on. Or crushed. Was it..still of any use? Useless. The medicine cats can't possibly use something that's been destroyed like that. It was no one bringing it back to camp "nevermind" the apprentice headed back to Rowanmane after seeing the crushed plant, every once in a while casting a glance at it. She didn't exactly know what it was but whatever it was, it won't be of much use. Use? Would the apprentice end up similar to that nondescript herb she just saw? It was dead and crushed up till the point where any cat with common sense knew it was no longer of use and probably will never

He nodded to the apprentice before turning to the plant, making a failed attempt to harvest. Instead, his teeth dug into it too roughly, and the plant tore, looking pitiful and useless. Dead…just like most things around this time. That specific piece had looked less lively anyways, and these’re was one of better quality beside it.

Roll 18/20(Success)

Well, thankfully there were more for harvesting, though he gave a dejected look to his…messy attempts, and instead started anew, bringing his jaw down to the bottom of the plant and carefully wiggling sit, finally picking it up with success. Alright…that should be good, right? He glanced around then at the sky. Some time had passed, huh? “Alright, time to head back you two.” he huffed, waiting for them to be ready to follow him.

He nodded his head to TalonPaw kindly, before scanning over the others. “‘lright.” he gave the walk a bit, until they were in a spot that seemed to smell the most of prey for them. “TalonPaw. Ya’ know how t’ hunt?” he questioned, though it was more a confirmation. The apprentice seemed experienced enough.

Hollylynx trailed at the rear of the patrol, her feathery tail swaying behind her even though she was careful not to let it brush the undergrowth. The RiverClanner's jaws had parted to scent the air, the scent of squirrel hitting her nose.

The chocolate-and-cream Bengal was crouching on the forest floor in an instant, her frosty blue eyes narrowing down to slits. Her pawsteps were soft and focused as Hollylynx stalked forward, slowly. Whenever she was sure that she was close enough---and that her quarry hadn't caught her scent---she leaped.

The squirrel was fast, but Hollylynx was faster. As her prey ran for the roots of a tree, the warrior made a humongous leap and landed in front of it. She dipped her head, scooping up the squirrel by the back of its neck, causing it to go limp in between her jaws as she made her way back to her Clanmates.

He follows Rowanmane silently, barely glancing at Hollylynx as she breaks off before any instructions are given. At least the warrior comes back with a squirrel. "Owlstar taught me. Are we splitting up or working together?" Talonpaw doesn't know any advanced hunting techniques, but he does know when it's cold like this, flushing out prey toward another member of the patrol is more likely to grant a catch than risking going alone. At least he's pretty sure that's true.

He nodded as the apprentice answered, flicking his gaze to the two other warriors. “I say we spli’ up, but nobody wanders too far, ‘lright?” he huffed to the cats. He’d keep his eye on the apprentice, though he had little doubt in this one. He scented the air, the smell on a mouse meeting him. A shame they couldn’t get fish around this time…like he could fish. He got in a crouch, carefully stalking after the mouse and pouncing, swiftly killing it. It was leafbare, and while anything was everything…one wasn’t enough. He had to provide more.

RowanMane scented the air again, choosing a squirrel this time. One he pounce, the squirrel quickly scurried out his way. Darn…well….there had to be more, and there was, as RowanMane caught his next one. It took the cats a while to find this spot…time was running short.

riverclan needed food. definitely. it was leafbare, what could the clan need more of other than food and herbs? a bushy tail caught her gaze, she crouched down, creeping forward, they leaped. killing it in a swift bite, before snapping his head toward a sound. what? the scent... gray/tail? aas this the traitor? the bloodied tabby bounded toward the black and brown cat. fight. fight. fight! their blood screamed.

their claws met the gray cats face, they tussled, eventually both landing a blow that neither could recover from.
