She was excited to hunt actually, she hasn't hunted yet today and was hoping to be able to add something to the fresh kill pile. Shinepaw patted out of camp and waited for Moonpaw to follow her

Flarerunner padded out of the warriors den, looking around the clearing for her apprentice. She didn't see the young tom, and decided to check the apprentices den. She strolled over, stopping outside the entrance to call out. "Yewpaw, time for training!" Taking a step back, she sat down to wait for him to come out.

Yewpaw came out," Mkay... Soo...," he yawned," Am I learning the deathblow or what?" He mumbled he'd been napping so he was tired and sadly it was the onl time he was manageable.

Flarerunner rolled her eyes. "Warriors don't kill unless necessary, and we certainly don't teach how to kill." She rose to her paws and headed in the direction of the camp entrance. "You will be learning some basic battle skills, however." She called over her shoulder, hoping it would get Yewpaw a bit more enthusiastic. "So look alive!" The bengal picked up the pace, only pausing momentarily at the entrance to allow another cat to enter camp before she slipped out into the moor. She didn't bother to check if Yewpaw was following- he had been keen to learn how to fight before, so if he still wanted to Flarerunner assumed he would make sure to keep up.

Flarerunner sighed. "You still won't be trained enough to beat most cats after today. But after moons of training, then you will be better- but I'm not saying that you will be able to beat every cat. We all have some sort of weakness, and no one is invincible." She flicked her tail, padding a couple of tail lengths away from him. "First, tell me if you know anything about fighting- and I do mean anything."

Flarerunner rolled her eyes. "Nice try bud, but 'okay' has nothing to do with fighting." Her pelt twitched in irritation. Is he not listening to what I'm asking? She took a deep breath, trying to calm down. Don't snap, he's young. He doesn't know any better yet. "Ok Yewpaw, I'll ask again. Do you know anything about battle? I don't want to reteach you anything, and if you know something basic I can build off of it or correct you if you're wrong."

Shattersong padded out of camp, her paws sore from walking on snow. She loved snow because it helped the pure white molly hunt, but it also made her cold. It had its ups and downs she supposed, flicked her ears. Her ice blue gaze pierced through the falling snow, and after a moment she picked out the scents of rabbit, quickly locating the rabbit about a tree length away from where she stood. Crouched low so her belly fur brushed the snow, she started forwards, but unknowingly had cracked and old gorse twig, and the rabbit took off, disappearing down its hole. Mouse-dung! Shatteredsong thought, pushing onward in the hopes of finding another prey animal.
