Echopaw nodded. "It's ok, miss," she replied, "And I'm fine, the others are fine, this happened a couple moons ago, and these scars were the aftermath of that event. The reason I mentioned this was because it was the last time I was seen with clan cats before today. I wish I fought harder during that time, so I wouldn't look like... this." She gestured to the scars on her fur, as well as her missing left eye and tail. "I think the old camp is safe now though, at least that's what I heard.."

Her fur flattened as the little apprentice stammered, her pale green eyes now alight with realization. "Weasels...", she dragged out the word slowly. It was when Sparrowpelt appeared that it truly hits her. Of course...Of course! How could she not have noticed something so obvious. She knew she had smelled Thunderclan on the apprentice. But the warning growl of the kit had her act so hastily.
His sharp gaze struck her, and she flattened her ears swiftly as she felt those protective golden beams cut through her very core. The rosetted she-cat shook her head slowly, drawing in a deep breath and letting it out in a long sigh. "My apologies Sparrowpelt, I have deeply misjudged this situation.", she looked to the roughed up and clearly distressed silver tabby with eyes brimming with sincerest apology. She had been wrong. So wrong.
She sat now, her head lowering as she mewed softly to Echopaw. "You've no need to apologize whatsoever, Echopaw. It's me who should be apologizing. I am so very sorry. I didn't recognize you, I hope you can forgive my grave mistake." She paused. She felt awful. Since when was she this careless?
She continued, "Are you ok? Are the others ok?", she gave another slight shake of her head. She knew she had been pushing herself with taking on extra patrols, that border relations were tense, but for her to mistake one of her own. That nap clearly wasn't enough if the smell of the forest and weasle threw her off the scent of her own clanmates. It was hard enough keeping all these wily apprentices straight, on top of her sleep deprived paranoia, but to mistake Sparrowpelt's own kin?
This was so unlike her. How could she have let herself act so impetuously? It was hard not to feel ashamed. She took her warrior duties so seriously, to have that dutiful determination come back to bite her was a blow she was not expecting.

{ @RavensCall & @Sunii @SuspiciousMindz - All good! Ill reply to Sparrowpelt in the den next! I dropped little context clues, but I'll have her mention her overworking herself in their den chat. Also I apologize, I'm so rusty haha I'll get back the swing in no time though!<3 }

Sparrowpelt visibly relaxed, closing his eyes for a moment to exhale the frustration away. When his golden hues opened again, they were softer, more like the normal he displayed to most of his clanmates. He'd move to the side a bit so Echopaw could speak directly to Cougarshade. His gaze moved to his kit, filling with some pride at her words. The she-cat had matured, she didn't need his protection like she used to. That wouldn't have changed the outcome, but to see her maturity made him proud.
He'd study how the she-cat looked for a moment. It would take a bit to adjust to it, but she was his kin regardless of how she looked. He merely hoped she knew he'd always take care of her. "You did your best, Echopaw. That's what's important," he assured her, draping his fluffy tail over her shoulders lightly before he'd turn to look at Cougarshade.
His gaze was still soft, but there was a dark warning behind that friendly demeanor. Sparrowpelt wouldn't forget this too quickly, but he could forgive the mistake this time. "If Echopaw is fine, then we can put this behind us."

Sunpaw lays in a corner of the clearing, watching the clan go about their work, annoyed beyond belief that it wasn’t her doing warrior tasks. She had only been made an apprentice very recently, but she was ready to be away from her mentor and doing all that cool warrior stuff. She’s not too young, and she’s not too inexperienced, everyone else just underestimates her.
But it’s fine, she’ll show them all how great she is soon enough. Just give her time and se’ll sine as bright as her namesake. Idly, she wondered if her good-for-nothing mother had named her ‘Sun’ because she could already envision her future greatness. Probably not. She’s left after all, clearly she didn’t really care. Stupid, good-for-nothing Nettlekit had left too… she’d followed after their mom’s scent and ran away. Sunpaw didn’t know where she was now, but she didn’t care, at least Skypaw was still around. He was the only soul in this whole clan that Sunpaw cared about.

Watching from her seat by the medicine cat den, blue eyes trailed after every clanmate's every move. She was bored it was obvious by her facial expression, which was to be expected from her. Leafpaw had been confined to the den for a while but she was all better now to be up and about. No one that she would go to outright was in the clearing right now, so she made no move right now. She idly listened to the conversation that was going on with an ear turned in their direction, but she was staring at one certain apprentice. It was hard for her to miss them, they were the most brightly colored apprentice out right now. She was curious about why they looked grumpy, something she thought that was her job. With a grunt, she got up and casually walked over to the other apprentice "Don't you look all pissy" she casually sat down. Of course, she didn't sit close by, but she wasn't far from them either. No way would she get close to someone who looked like they had anger problems. "Did someone step on you in the den this morning and give you a rude awakening?"

Great... someone was here to interrupt her brooding quiet alone time. Sunpaw eyes up the older apprentice disinterestedly and scoffs at the question. "What?" She says abrasively, "can't a girl cat-watch in peace?" Sunpaw had seen the apprentice around camp, of course she had, she likes watching what's going on after all, but she'd never spoken to her - couldn't be bothered, really, she had her brother and that's all she needs. Someone coming to interrupt that relative peace? Yeah, Sunpaw was far less than thrilled and her tail flicked with mild annoyance, ears tilted back ever so slightly.

Oh, so they naturally looked like that, now she wasn't the only one in the clan now that seemed like a stick in the mud. This would be great now she could talk to someone who would get her and nothing would be awkward. Kind of reminded her of her friend in kithood, too bad they never made it to an apprentice. "Nope!" the end of it came out like a popping sound as she snickered a bit. "Better me bothering you and not some warrior or kit or whatever coming over here with some sort of task" it was bound to happen. She's noticed some didn't like to see apprentices or even warriors sitting around on their asses. No one seemed to be allowed some free time to themselves nowadays. "Did you not see what happened to that warrior that was caught chilling by an elder?" she tilted her head as she saw that no name was screamed at about some tick or fleas, she forgot what it was.
