"have you ever done that before?" she asked. "i mean, if you're sure you know what you're doing..." she wouldn't want her first time venturing outside the camp to be with someone who hadn't been there before, after all. that would only make things more dangerous. still, she wanted to do this. they could totally get away with it, too... right?

Sweetkit stood up prouder, straighter when she answered. “Yep! I’ve gone outside with my brother Condorkit a bunch.” She answered truthfully. Sweetkit liked outside. The world was so big and it was so exciting! There were always new smells or new animals and so far she hadn’t gotten caught sneaking out or gotten harmed doing so. But she could tell Starlingkit was hesitant.
“If you don’t want to go it’s okay.” Sweetkit murmured. “We can keep playing moss ball.” She sat down and flicked her tail tip as she awaited a answer from her new friend.

Gentlethunder really rubbed him the wrong way. "I'm fine," he replied. Almost as an afterthought, he offered up a tight-lipped smile to the other tom. "I just-- I didn't really want to.." Sagehawk's voice trailed off when Duskstar approached them.

There was a change of leadership here? He couldn't say he knew much about either of the ThunderClan higher ups, but she seemed capable. Hopefully she'd lead them well. "Right, sorry, Duskstar." Sagehawk stood up a little straighter, forcing himself to meet the eye of the intimidating ThunderClan leader. "Yes, um.. RiverClan managed to drive the coyotes out of their home, and we're cleaning up the place so that, uh, the WindClan cats can return."

At Duskstar's offer to send along one of her cats, Sagehawk's paws shuffled on the ground. It was probably the best thing to just be polite. "Yeah, we'd appreciate that," he replied, breaking eye contact to drift his gaze across the clearing.

His heart was pounding in his ears. He hadn't imagined that being in a foreign camp would be so uncomfortable! The sooner we get out, the better...

Coyotesnarl emerged from the elders den at Duskstars side looking rather irritated. He’d make sure that Twilightstar gave her regards to the thunderclan leader... she was nicer than he could’ve imagined. The tabby watched as the riverclan cats stood around looking terrified. All except for one who deemed it fit to go waltzing around calling to whomever. The scarred toms muzzle seemed to twitch though he let Duskstar handle it.

“Oh goody they sent us babysitters. How nice of Lionfluff.” he snorted giving the warrior up front a good look. He turned on his paws to glance at Duskstar briefly than back at the group.

Breezekit knew Pinekit was not paying attention,so the tortoiseshell crept around Pinekit, turned around,and pounced on Pinekit's tail.

As Duskstar stepped forwards the smile fell from his lips and he greeted the molly with a deadpan expression. So, Thunderclan had a new leader? Hopefully she wasn't as much as a push over as Flintstar...or whatever his name was now, was. Or is..he's probably still a pretty big push over. As Her and Sagehawk began talking...or more like as Sagehawk responded to the barf of words the molly kept spewing out, the Calliby stepped back. Ears pricking as she mentioned giving them an escort. To which he piped in. "That's all fine and dandy, and we do appreciate the offer. But we should be okay, right Sagehawk?" he stated, turning to give the other Warrior a look.

They didn't need more warriors, Windclan had a bunch of queens and other Warriors and Apprentices that could carry the kits they brought over and so on. Having an escort would just be one more annoying cat tagging along. As Eagleflower hobbled up he turned and gave the Warrior a quick smile "Heyo welcome to the party." he whispered to the warrior. Moment's after a rather nasty looking cat decided to voice his opinions. To which... of course, ticked Gentlethunder off. Giving the Scarred tom a forced smile, making sure it was toothy. "Oh you know. Since you guys couldn't fight them off the first time he just wanted to make sure you wouldn't get your asses handed to you a second time. And it's Lionstar." he stated. Stepping a little closer to the front of this little...meeting.

"how're you?" it was an attempt to be more civil, though perhaps it wasn't as successful as it could've been, and thistlekit felt a little bad about that. whoops. maybe she should've tried harder, but it could be hard sometimes.

"you got any good stories?" she asked, glancing up at the she-cat. it wasn't exactly civil, but it was at least something to carry on the conversation, and she was doing her best to be nice. she wanted to be nice. hopefully it would work well, otherwise this was going to turn out to be a disaster.

The long ginger and brown tail seemed to curl a little more snuggly againist the small frame of the kitten. Blossombreeze felt herself yearning for another litter of kits, it had been moons since she had her own. It was fun watching her kittens grow into these strong warriors but it didn't make her empty nest any less bearable. "I'm glad you're alright, sugar," She purred in her southern thick accent.

"Huh... A story! My, my, let me see if I can search this Molly's old brain for one," The chuckle slid from her with ease, her laughter sweet like honey, dripping with kindness and a warmth only a mother could have.

"Well, once upon a time there was a sarcastic apprentice that oozed this kinda... sticky confidence. They were bratty, angry, but courageous and resourceful!" She meowed the words down the kitten, giving her own white chest a few licks, "But one day... they came face to face with a tiger!'

Eyes watching the tom as he made his way over, she elicited an easy going yawn, her paws crossing loosely in front of her. It was nice to take her mind off of being 'threatening' towards the cats from another clan. And when Bramblestep started talking, there were some words that just flew right out over her head. Rootstone wasn't exactly a 'smart' cat, sure she knew right from wrong, what to do, what not to do, that kind of thing, but she wasn't good with planning, calculations, weighing risk, or well, talking in a smart manner. Or comprehending someone who talks in a smart manner. So the she-cat just kind of stared at him for a moment, finding it better if she didn't reply.

"If you were a bother I wouldn't be asking you to talk to me," she mewed easily enough, and the second part of what he said caused her to nod her head with a slight smirk. Rootstone liked to think of herself as pretty, but not in the normal sense. She was more of a muscular she-cat than one of those long-furred, coat-always-shining she cats. Self confidence was not a department she was lacking in.

After he settled down, her tail stopped thumping and drew close to her side, curling just slightly at the tip. "You wouldn't be the first cat to call me that, and I won't disagree." Rootstone looked the tom up and down for a moment before another yawn escaped her. She was relaxed. And it seems that he just got on her good side. Agreeing with this she-cat was probably one of the best things you could do considering how stubborn and abrasive she could be. There was no winning an argument with Rootstone because she was always right in her head.
"I mean, I haven't been losing sleep over it, those scrawny scraps are nothing. I could push them over with a yawn. But it's just been aggravating me. They shouldn't be here, I don't care what drove them out of their territory. This ain't their camp." Her claws sunk into the soft dirt for a moment before she sheathed them, snorting with a shake of her head. "I'm loyal to Duskstar, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with letting this happen."

Bramblestep felt a certain accomplishment when his casual little compliment seemed to sit well with his partner here. He was certainly a bit of a natural flirt, and a bit more of an awkward- if a tad bit skilled- rambler. It was natural for him to put others at ease around him if he could. After all, his particularly... large and strengthened looks... didn't give him many points in the calming category naturally. He had to adapt actively- especially as a cat as social as he is- and, of course, he usually meant every word of compliment he'd say in one way or another.
It might've helped that said awkwardness usually lead to impulsive words that tended to work out, one way or another. Perhaps not a smart mouth, but something else kept him on his feet. Something nicer. Something a bit more genuine, from the heart.

Of course, the little bit of accomplishment he had felt wasn't much compared to the she-cat casually agreeing that she was bossy. On top of her already inviting him over, and easing his worries... He liked this one already.
While he may certainly be a tad bit too trusting in the clan- he still felt. At ease about this.

As he listened to her last words come and go, he couldn't help but just nod. While he personally had a body that liked to declare war on him during the spring, everything else she said, he found himself agreeing with on some level. "Yeah, it's just been... stressful for me, I guess is the best way to put it. Hard to sleep when foreign scents and foreign noises fill the camp. While I'm certain they're not really a threat, I can't help but be on edge. I'm loyal to both Duskstar and Thunderclan equally, but it's just been a bit of an especially chaotic mess here, recently. Find it hard to sleep when everyone's on their toes." He admitted with a stretch, continuing his streak of rambling on, though letting his early... apprehension go as it may. "I mean, I'm not opposed to letting a hurting clan in the camp. It's just out of the ordinary to me. Not sure there's really much else I can say on the matter... I'm not one of the ones calling the shots, and I'm not in with Starclan either. I can just watch, and make sure to do my duties, you know?" He finished with a shrug, throwing a few glances Rootstone's way.

"Sorry, didn't mean to get all personal there. Force of habit. Bramblestep, by the way, if I'm still as good at hiding away from others unintentionally as I was as an apprentice. You are?" He offered with a calmed chuckle, and an oddly... extended paw over the ground as he settled himself down into a half-lying position. He earned his name one way or another, and it usually came down to the odd gestures he made with his paws... And, of course, his infamous loud steps.

Breezekit wandered out from behind the nursery and went to talk to Frostwhisker.

"i don't want anything to do with you. go find someone else to mess with or at least be quiet." she snapped, her ears going back in a more aggressive manner. well, she needed to do something.

complaining? alright - true, he was, but fennelkit didn't want to get called out for it! "whatever. you seem boring, anyway." he dismissed her with a flick of his tail, glancing around for any other, hopefully more exciting cats who wanted to join in a game. definitely not this one. fennelkit wouldn't have played with her if she were the last cat alive.

As one last jab, Ivykit retorted, "And you seem like a mousebrain," before turning in the nest she was in, rolling her eyes slightly.
