ThunderClan: Life Before 2023's Sinkhole

Yarrowshade had come to see what this mess was about and she didn't like it. Nectarflame had gotten her greedy little paws up onto the Thunderwillow and was making her oh-so-serious declaration, hah! Good luck, Nec! If only usurping power was that easy. Still, Yarrowshade felt a little tense. She'd never been this direct. What if she actually succeeded in what Yarrowshade had failed? No, the dark tabby would not let that happen. If she couldn't have absolute power, nobody could. Plus, this was going to be fun.

Well this was.. interesting. Dogbark not calling a meeting? Nectarflame was the one who had called it. Acorndrop gave a small nod to the molly. To him, their little quarrel had been over for the past several weeks, and he held a great amount of respect for the bengal. Then a thought flashed across his mind. Why isn't Dogbark calling this meeting? Did he die like my worthless sister? Hope he did, we'd all be better off with Necterflame as leader. From what the russet tom could see, the leader was nowhere to be found, for now at least. Until then, "All hail Necterflame! Mother of all cats and supreme ruler of ThunderClan!"

He gaze traveled among the cats that gathered, finding a seat with the Nectarflame supporters. This was going to be one interesting meeting, and well.. Acorndrop was all ears for it.

Birchheart stood strong, in front of the ThunderWillow. His face shown no emotion. Inside, he was torn up. He didn’t know what was happening or why. Dogbark was good, but the rest of the clan didn’t really see him as a leader, so they didn’t really listen to them. Still, he stood his face and body devoid of emotion.

Oooh-hoo-hoo, if this wasn't going to be FUN then Lynxfuzz didn't know what was. He poked his nose out of the warriors den to blink at Nectarflame, eyes glinting before sliding out and making his way over to Emberpaw. "Stick close to me, things could get hairy," he hummed.

To be quite honest, he wasn't sure why so many were against the she-cat that perched in the branches of the Thunderwillow. Yeah, she was harsh, but so far her only crime was a sharp tongue and, what, caring about ThunderClan? His eyebrows lifted as he examined her - large, powerful, but not ungracefully so. If she were to dethrone Dogbark(which she had every right to do!) he'd have no issue in letting her lead. Besides, it meant more entertainment in the long run.

Emberpaw let out a sigh of relief and pressed close to Lynxfuzz, hiding behind him as best she could. "L-Lynxfuzz? I h-have a b-b-bad feeling ab-bout this..." She mewed, nerves showing in her voice. She swallowed, trying to keep herself from quivering. I'm not ready for things to get "hairy"... She looked around Lynxfuzz's flank to glace at Nectarflame in the Thunderwillow again. "What d-do you th-think is going on?"

SiftPaw huffed a but when she was there. She dint like what she said about DogBwrk or anyone else for that matter. She stood up glaring a small bit” he’s trying his best! “ she yelled out honesty why would someone insult another who was trying?” It’s nit his fault he suddenly became our clan leader!” She hissed a bit sitting down she most likely would be yelled at but she didn’t care at that moment

SpottedPelt Sat down when he was yelled for no questions asked he however was bothered by what so young apprentices had said. DogBark was trying but he wasn’t doing well at all for anyone doing as his name suggests and is just barking like a dog giving orders with no method or reason why he was looking around for two older cats he knew but he can’t seem to find them..

He moved to wrap his tail around her and pull her a little closer. "It'll be all right. Maybe a bit loud, but... eh, who knows with this Clan anymore." He glanced down at her, attempting to somewhat soften his expression. "If things do get bad you can hide with me in the apprentices' den, 'kay?"

Emberpaw nodded at her mentor. "What do you think she means? Is she going to challenge Dogbark?" She questioned, her curiosity beating out her nerves, and ceasing her stuttering. She looked around, seeing more and more clanmates gathering.

Someone other than their deputy on the Thunderwillow. It was Nectarflame, a notorious cat for undermining leaders. Sweetwater looked up at the senior warrior, eyes narrowed. Shifting her paws uneasily, she sat in the entrance to the warriors den, letting her fellow warriors brush past her as they padded out of the den.

"Storm's a brewin." She muttered, continuing down to the Thunderwillow. This was stupid. She and her Clanmates were just pawns, playthings for each leader. Or... almost leader, as Dogbark was considered. She couldn't help looking around and trying to gauge the reaction of her Clanmates. They were confused. Same as her, but still.

I assume Nectarflame is now turning on Dogbark, the one she said should replace Aspenstar, The small warrior thought, twitching her whiskers. I swear, if she appoints herself leader, I'm going to claw my eyes out. She'll just rip the Clan to pieces with that. What was the Bengal going to do? Scream at everyone who made her angry?

But... wasn't Nectarflame right?

The fawn molly shivered slightly. This place was an absolute mess. She wrapped her tail neatly around her paws, primly trying to at least give the inkling of suggestion that she was as put together as she liked to pretend. That was the game, right? Pretend everything is fine, then turn on your authorities? And Nectarflame wanted KITS in attendance?! She cocked a catbrow. "If kits are going to attend, lets all make this a meeting the kits won't want to escape the second it starts." She tartly said, loud enough to be heard.

Her eyes traveled the clearing uncertainly, before falling on Rosepaw. Oh, the poor, unlucky little dear. Padding closer to the apprentice, she smiled warmly (or tried to). "Don't worry, Rosepaw." 'Don't worry'. What a liar she was. Everything was falling apart, and she had the audacity to try and order the apprentice to relax?! Maybe she should 'pull a Cindersky', and comfort the apprentice. That wasn't really her style. "You uh... can come sit with me until Cindersky comes. If you want."

Mothflight raised her head. A Clan meeting? Not called by Dogbark? That was odd. But whoever was calling it sounded very angry. She ran to the Thunderwillow as fast as she could.

Silverclaw leans close to Mothflight. "This does not feel right." She mews to the other cat.

Archkit looks at Silvercaw, hiding under her. "What is going on?" They ask softly, their head lowered.
