Chuckling slightly at Antlerkit's tired tone, Sunheart sat up straight as he observed the kits. Cute kits, they were. Obviously. They were Blueberry's kits! No coincidence about that. He didn't get a chance to say much else before Bubblekit was tumbling over her own paws to get to him, giving a loud purr as she scrambled around his paws. 'Sunnydad!'
Pale green eyes blinked, expression unreadable before they lit up. The deputy's ears perked up at the comment, and a smile tugged the edge of his lips. Yet, he dared not to look at Blueberry. He didn't mind, after all...he had tons of adopted siblings. What's some adoptive...hm. The implications would be...Not that those were bad implications! Gah, whatever. It was clear Sunheart had no intent on correcting her. At least, not until Blueberry did. Should she choose to do so...
He reaches out a paw to stop Bubblekit's tumbling before giving a small laugh. "Yes, I am here to see Owlstar." He agreed quietly, glancing up at the leader with an amused expression.
Then, of course, there was Coastkit. "Fiesty as ever, I see." The tom murmured to Blueberry as the kit backed scrunched away from his affectionate nuzzle. "And I remind you only the daily because you tend to overwork yourself." He mewed with a gentle flick of his tail to the queen's shoulder.
Turning his attention back to Owlstar, he noted he had been assigned a new apprentice. He felt as though something had stuck in his throat. 'Soaringpaw...' His previous apprentice. He didn't know how, but she had passed. She had passed while she was supposed to be under his care. She came to him once after, the encounter brief, but it still stung like a thousand claws scratching at his heart. As Whisperingpaw approached, he gently returned her nose bump with his own. "I won't let you down." He tried his best to keep a friendly face, but a flicker of uncertainty lit his eyes for the briefest of moments.
Gesturing for his new apprentice to join them if she so wished, Sunheart chanted the new names.
Whispy was...confused. She had heard the announcement about Soaringpaw of course, but she didn't understand the depth of the emotions she was seeing in her new mentors eyes. Why was he...worried about letting her down? Whispy blinked, her gaze soft. "Of course not..." She murmured, her soft voice softer than usual. The concern was never that he would let her down, the concern was always that she would let him down. After all, Whispy wasn't even sure of her path in life. She nodded at his gesture, sitting next to her new mentor, trying to show her pride. After all, regardless of anything else she was now the apprentice to the deputy of her clan. She needed to show her pride in that fact. She chanted the new names of the new apprentices and warriors, glancing up at Sunheart.
"I, um, I'm afraid I...h-haven't done much training..." She admitted, looking down at her paws. "I have done a border patrol...and I-I've learned some...first aid.... But that's...that's really all..." Despite her best effort in projecting confidence, she knew how crumpled she must look. What kind of warrior apprentice was she? She had barely done anything! And frankly...there was one thing she was more terrified of than anything else. She absolutely did not want to start with combat training. But it was because of that, her desire to avoid it, that she should probably do it even more. Hence, she did not make a request of Sunheart as to where he wanted to start. She would leave that up to him.

"Eaglewing! Raccoonweb! Mosslight!" The tom cheered the new warriors' names, shooting a fond glance at the one nearest to him, Primroseadder's appr- former apprentice. He was sure she was proud. An apprentice's promotion to a warrior was always a good thing to witness.
"Congratulations, Mosslight. I am glad to have you as a new denmate," he lightly dipped his head to the newly made warrior. With a leisurely smile and a purr, he turned to Primroseadder. "And you, too. Good job. I am sure Mosslight is the first of the many apprentices you will raise, hm? Now go on and have fun, you two. Catch good prey." Freezingfury waved his tail farewell as the two she-cats left.

For a moment, Spiderpaw actually felt jealous, but it passed quickly. She was only just getting started as an apprentice! And, what amazing names they received!
"Eaglewing! Raccoonweb! Mosslight!" How incredibly lucky these new warriors were, completing their training and being named by Owlstar! Spiderpaw couldn't help but wonder what name was in her future. Perhaps it would be Spiderheart! No, no... that didn't really sound as good as she would like. 'Heart' was always a good suffix, but it sounded a bit... strange when it followed 'spider'.
She would have to think more on it, she told herself as she turned away from Skyridge to continue with lounging about in the apprentice den. She would have to congratulate the new apprentices!

Wait... WAIT! Why was everyone shouting!? Bramblekit quickly tried to shout along with the rest of the clan, wanting to be as supportive of his clanmates as possible. This was his first meeting... what was going on?
In the comfort of burying his head into Stormwish's fur, Bramblekit had forgotten that he was supposed to pay attention to whatever Owlstar had called the meeting for. Now he was shouting names he didn't know. Except Copperkit-paw. Once that clicked, he understood.
It was a ceremony! He missed the whole thing! Well, all but bits and pieces. He knew he should've been paying closer attention, but everything happened so quick and he was still trying to think of which of the Lionhearts to ask a question...
"Is it time to go back inside?" He asked, looking up to the molly who's tail protected him from the cold, eyes big and sad. He really wanted to play, instead, despite the cold. There was just so much wasted space out here!

Fallenspirit noted the apprentices excitement. Though Asterpaw was young and expected to be excited, Fallenspirit was determined to shape him into a respectable warrior. It would be quite a task for him due to the two having completely different personalities, but he would make it happen.
Stormwish looked down at the tabby kit. "You can probably go inside if you wish, sweetheart." They purred. "But I'm staying for a bit longer- I want to congratulate my little Copperpaw!" Storm ended fondly, looking around to see where Copperpaw had gotten to. Surely she'd come and see her parent? They flicked Bramblekit gently with their tail, that was still wrapped around them. "Or you could stay here, but play with your siblings?" The white and black queen suggested, gesturing to her kits, Bramble's adoptive siblings, that were also nestled in her fluffy tail.

· · ────────────── · · Eaglewing. That was her name now. The new warrior looked up at Owlstar, eyes shining with pride and joy. Even if the traits--enthusiasm and courage--tugged at her chest, Eaglewing accepted her new name. Courage. Did she deserve that claim?
Eaglepaw--Eaglewing--sat back and watched the two cats beside her also get their names. She shot them both a congratulatory smile when Owlstar stepped back, the cheers of their clanmates ringing around them.
When Owlstar dismissed the meeting, Eaglewing glanced around her. Racoonweb and Mosslight were being congratulated by friends and family, but... Eaglewing swallowed thickly. It wasn't worth searching the crowd--no one was there for her. Rushwater, Mossypaw, Fadingstar, Stormstar, Cobwebstorm... all gone. She couldn't tell Nathaniel or Sparrow, since traveling to the outskirts was surely an express ticket to demotion.
But surprisingly, Eaglewing felt... okay. Her chest hurt, but the weight that usually pulled her down had lifted, instead coming to rest upon her shoulders like her namesake. She was a warrior of RiverClan now. Everything that happened in her life had lead to this moment, and even though she was alone, she found herself excited to begin this new chapter of her life.
Pushing herself to her paws, Eaglewing made her way to the warrior's den, anticipation tingling in her paws.
Duskleaf smiled as Irisdream mentioned that other cats were becoming aware of their relationship, that was always going to happen, and he was more than happy for cats to know. After all, he was now mates with the cat of his dreams, what more could he ask for? In fact, this was probably the best part of his life so far. Working up the courage to come down from his tree and meet Irisdream was, in hindsight, the best decision he ever made.
Duskleaf then looked back to Kitepaw as she spoke. He was a little bit surprised by how formal she was being, like calling him ‘sir’. It did make sense but it was still somewhat surprising. It honestly felt kinda weird to be addressed as if he was someone important, it made him feel distant in a way. Then Kitepaw asked if she could just call him by his name, and honestly he’d prefer that. "Of course! You don’t have to use any fancy titles or anything with me." Kitepaw seemed to have a completely different personality from Irisdream…but the way she acted, it was clear she was Irisdream’s daughter. It was just little things, but Kitepaw seemed more like her mother than she might’ve known.
@Luna16 sorry about this being uh…just two weeks and a day late XD
