Fallenheart flicked his tail in agreement. "That would be best, but personally, I prefer hunting. There's no point of fighting if you can't feed yourself. I find hunting relaxing - it's mostly peaceful in the forest - but training is definitely a good way to work of your energy. Fun, too."

“Well I don’t know how any of that feels because I am still just a kit. But I am very excited to be an apprentice! Then I will be the greatest warrior ever!”

"Right," Fallenheart muttered sheepishly. He'd forgotten that he was speaking with a kit. "You're a smart kit," he complimented. "What do you like to do in your free time?" he asked curiously.

“Thank you.” Falconkit smiled at the compliment. “In my free time I get into mischief as you can see,” she held up her casted paw. “I like to talk with my friends and get advice from warriors like you!”

Fallenheart fell silent for a second before saying, "You never mentioned - where was and what happened to the fox that attacked you?"

“Well I was with Echokit and I fell into its den. Then it chased me and I sprang at it and clawed at it! Then it swatted me away and Shadequill finished it off. Shadequill is Echokit’s father.”

Once she was down from the highbranch, Icestar stepped forward to touch noses with her new apprentice.
"I'll turn you into the fiercest warrior in the clan," she promised her. "We will begin training after this meeting." The dark leader wanted to waste no time in training this young she-cat. Perhaps she could succeed where she had failed previously.

She noticed the sparks of jealousy in the eyes of Mirepaw and Duskpaw, but reacted indifferently. They had plenty of potential as well, and would make fine warriors. That jealousy, she thought, would fuel their ambition and urge them to train harder.

She gave Ebonypaw a nod before leaping back up to her place on the highbranch to continue the meeting.

"Okay," Fallenheart said. He was running out of things to talk about, so he stayed silent.

Hailstorm felt Falconpaw crash into her, nearly knocking the wind out of her. She managed not to fall over, although she had stumbled a bit. She whirled around to aim a few front-paw blows at his face in quick succession.

Hissing as he was hit, Falconpaw sprang back and reared up on his hindlegs with the intention of bringing his forepaws down hard at Hailstorm's head.
