Smokekit hurried in he had seen his sister run in here crying. He swore he would make whoever made her cry pay. When he ran in he saw the two cats laying with each other and stared for a while. He eventually walked over and sat down silently waiting for shiverkit to wake up.

Mumblekit lifted her head up, slowly. She'd gotten it into her head by then that the ball wouldn't come and hit her. Right?

She watched her fellow kit talk, then start giggling. Giggling, she had learned, was started when a cat found something funny. What was funny to him? Was it the ball? Was it the way she ducked? Was it her? Whatever it was, Mumblekit didn't find it funny. Nothing about the situation, with her almost being hit not once, but twice, was not at all amusing. Not in any way. So why?
