Re: WindClan Clearing
Shrewpaw
The silver apprentice popped up his head sleepily, unaware of what was happening for a moment. Rubbing his eyes, he glanced around the den, spotting a figure towards the entrance. As the drowsy fog cleared from his eyes, he smiled, recognizing his mentor straight away. Jumping up from his slumber, he almost fell over from a lack of balance, but quickly checked himself before he stepped on anyone. Making his way out the den, he flicked an ear in hello before letting out a silent but noticeable yawn. He gave himself a quick wash before his mouth started running a mile a minute. "Is it time for training? Oh I can't wait! What are we gonna do first, are you gonna show me how to attack unsuspecting rogue cats so I can defend myself against the flea bags?" With that last question, he pounced on a random moss ball that was nearby, tumbling over as all his paws slipped from under him on the messy snow. Blushing in embarrassment, he snickered and got back up, giving an apologetic look to Larksong.

Re: WindClan Elders' Den
@ hxneysuckle @ RedHead
Moorfoot looked up in a bit of surprise at the two cats talking two him, since he'd thought they were asleep when he entered, but flicked his ears in agreement.
"That's what it seems like," Moorfoot sighed, not going into the reason of why. If they were asking, maybe the whole clan hadn't heard his punishment of temporary apprentice duties after he came back from his 'disappearance'. He sure hoped so; it would be easier to piece back his respect and pride that way. On another note, it was pretty understandable for the apprentices to be overwhelmed right now. Still, it felt bad to hear about the neglect of the elders.
"Really, are there so few visitors? I'd never think the kits would grow tired of hearing stories, and it's the apprentices should be in and out of here all the time, right?" Moorfoot sniffed at another old piece of moss in a corner that mustn't have been changed for a while. "Well, they're supposed to, at least."

She restrained the laughter that wanted to sneak out at his astonishment. It was clear that he hadn't been expecting her to throw snow at him. Besides the fact that he had started it, Twilightstar was just as he thought she was, a regular cat. She cried, laughed, ate, drank, worried, just like every other cat. She was still a regular cat with the addition of being a clan leader. It took her a while to get the hang of this playing thing normal cats seemed so fond of, she was getting it little by little and was finding enjoyment out of it.
Pulling on the breaks, she was amazed by the tom's speedy recovery as pulled out in front of her. Already expecting some form of retribution, she tries to backtrack although she wasn't fast enough. A shiver runs down her slender body as the freezing sleet collides with her face. Did she mention she wasn't made for the cold? No? Well, she wasn't! Rapidly, she shakes her head and then her whole body as if snowflakes had encased her entire body in its chill. She gave Raccooncloud something in between a pout and glower, her vivid green eyes blazed with a challenge. Now, this would not do. Normally she could let small things like this go, but she this strange urge to have the last laugh here. So as the tom took off, after making sure she had ever particle of frozen water off her face, she shot off after him.
"Raccooncloud, get back here and take your beating like a tom!" She growled, keeping her steps as light as she could with frost. The lilac molly's legs weren't as long as his, catching up wasn't too hard it was keeping up that was difficult. She couldn't outrun him either. Twilightstar didn't understand why he was running so fast all she wanted to do was bury him alive in the snow, she'd dig him out maybe... if she wasn't tired after this. After thinking for a second, since she could beat him she might as well trick him. She came to an abrupt, stumbling, halt with a loud hiss escaping her maw. "Ouch! My paw," she whimpered, scrunching up her face in a false painful expression, making sure to add a limped to the scene. Twilightstar had practice with the dramatics of acting, depending on who her mentor was, she often managed to get herself out of gatherings and training. She just needed Raccooncloud close enough so she could jump on him.
|
As he looked back to see Twilightstar’s reaction, Raccooncloud was delighted to see her glowering expression and light of challenge in her eyes. He loved messing around outside and just enjoying being out in the open moor. The winter wind in his whiskers and the cold snow beneath his paws made him feel awake; it made him feel alive. So many cats hated the cold and obsessed over the promising of spring weather, but he enjoyed the snow. It was so pretty, and the tom, despite his short coat, didn’t mind the chill. He reveled in the chilly breeze and enjoyed feeling, well, not quite cold, but alert.
Raccooncloud let out an almost kit-like squeak of excitement as the she-cat hared after him. Tail lashing with excitement at the prospect of a good run through the snow, the brown tom sped off, a mixture of slush and snow flying in his wake. His stomach churned with excitement as he ran just to run. It was part of why he loved WindClan so much; being with other cats who followed rules and, as a bonus, were fast, made the whole Clan thing worth it. Despite the nausea he sometimes felt when he had to go to gatherings or clan meetings, he was glad that he had such a decent place to call home. The brown tom enjoyed having a duty to perform. He liked to hunt and help his clan whenever he could. Even though he didn’t catch half as much prey as that which he chased away, the tom knew he was getting better. It helped to have clanmates that were willing to teach him tips and offer pointers.
As Raccooncloud hared between sparse bushes and bare shrubs, he caught the sound of her hiss. His ears swiveled towards the sound instinctively as he spotted Twilightstar crouched on the ground. Skidding to a stop, the tom hurried back towards her. It looked like his little chase was over... for now. The thrill of running evaporated as he neared her; the thought of her tricking him never passed through his mind. His gaze filled with worried as he saw her limping. Oh crap! Did I make her twist a paw?! BREAK a paw!? He didn’t want her to be mad at him from flicking snow at her; she threw it at him first! Would the clan be mad at him for making Twilightstar hurt? Frantic thoughts raced through his mind as he padded over. ”Twilightstar!” he meowed, worry raising his voice an octave, are you OK?!”. If se was hurt, he would make sure she got back to camp safely, to say the least. He hoped she wasn't injured too bad.

Re: WindClan Territory
Deertalon flicked his tail impatiently, stalking a nearby rabbit. This was to be his third try at catching something since he left camp, and if he were to fail this time as well, he would much rather claw at his own fur before getting his paws on a piece of prey.

A white and ginger spotted tabby shecat was crouched low in the swaying grass on the moors that lined WindClan's territory, keeping her gaze focused on the bird that was pecking the ground looking for worms and other things to eat. Her green gaze narrowed slightly as she stalked forward slightly until she has close enough to strike, unaware someone was nearby as she was currently too focused on catching her prey. When the moment seem right the shecat sprang forward and clasped the bird in her jaws, it attempted to escape by flapping its wings and it squawked loudly, she bit harshly causing it go silent and limp. AspenSpring stood fully upright the bird dwindling from her jaws, a pleased look was on her features as she placed the bird down, hear ears twitched slightly as she heard rustling and sudden movement coming from behind her, the shecat turned around and saw a rabbit dash out in front of her and followed close behind a Tom who leapt towards it."W-Wait!". She gave a small yowl as she didn't have enough time to move and she was quickly knocked to the ground and she got the wind knocked out of her."Oww...". She groaned slightly as she slowly sat back up but quickly realising she had gotten in the way of the hunt and the rabbit had escaped she spoke somewhat frantically."S-Sorry! I hadn't realised anyone was behind me-". AspenSpring's concerned gaze looked at her clanmate which from memory she pretty sure his name was DeerTalon.

Re: WindClan Training Moor
Coldsong nodded, glad he could immediately begin the training without any issues. "In WindClan, we pride ourselves on speed. Most of our moves are swift and used to outwit our opponents. Your job is to try and hit me, while also trying to avoid my hits."
With that said, the Coldsong got into a battle stance and looked Fireflypaw dead in the eye. "Hit me."

Re: WindClan Nursery
The mottled queen quickly dismissed Whitesong's comment on how her daughter got up quickly. Waiting to see what Vulturekit had to say for herself. Songbird looked between molly and unknown it with an 'I take no fox-dung from you' look.

Re: WindClan Territory
Foxdung... Guess he'd be clawing out his fur after all. "No, no, it's fine!" he mewed quickly, despite said disappointment coursing through him. "It wasn't your fault." He eyed the bird she held in her jaws. "Nice catch," he added, a bit admiringly.

Re: WindClan Clearing
Brindlejaw came back into camp from his patrol, pleased with how of a quick learner his apprentice was. Those thoughts went right out of his head as the smell of fish, filled his nose and saw a small patrol of Riverclanners. Then he saw Foxpoo-pudge and Coldsong glaring at each other and his leader who obviously just wanted to get away from everyone. Walking towards the small gathering a stone mask settled over the deputy, "What do oI owe the pleasure of this visit to?"
-----
Shimmeringpaw took a deep breath in when she entered Windclan's home, it smelled of the moor and heather. For once she didn't cringe away from her neighbor's scents. Then giggled at her brother's question after Twilightstar's answer to their services. Possibly? They have longgg legs." Looking at the clan cats who gathered at the Riverclanners.
