The small molly worked her way towards the patrol place, looking around to spot her mentor and clanmate. Seeing none of them around at the current moment she decided to wait for them.

Owlfrost was slow to respond to the call. He normally would've left it to see if the warrior had just been out but, thinking back, he hadn't seen the silver tom in a suspiciously long time. Rather than forcing himself to deal with consequences later, he called out for a cat he was confident he could rely on to just get it done, "Sorrelflare. I'm not sure where Owlfrost has gotten to, could you lead the patrol out to find catmint, burdock roots and borage leaves? And take Aspensnap instead of Redmoon."

Moonpaw scampered out of her den at the sound of her name being called out. Who might that be? Familiar enough, but it wasn't Darkfall. She noticed the dark tom, Shadowfur, waiting at the entrance with Sagepaw. Uh, herb patrol?

Had she done one yet? She couldn't really remember, but she was glad to finally get out and have some more space. The apprentice's den felt too crowded, sometimes.
She trotted up to the pair and glanced around for a third cat. Gentlepaw. What a weird name in Shadowclan. I wonder what kind of queen would choose that.

"Twigs? Why would Elmshadow need twigs?" She tipped her head to one side and stared at Shadowfur with wide amber eyes, genuinely curious to know the reason why she would have soon her mouth full of wood.
Mh. Thank Starclan the horrible medicine cat hadn't summoned her himself. He was so... unfriendly. And mean, too.

Deadfeather perked their ears at the mention of their name. Herbs. Fun. Totally what they wanted, totally wouldn't have been more excited with a border patrol. Whatever, best not to dwell. Hm. Burnet, Chickweed, and Poppy. They knew what poppy looked like, they had seen the bright playful blooms whilst hunting, it was nice to finally put a name to them though. Chickweed. The sprig of it was dried and shriveled, but they could see the small leaves, rounded and coming to a point. "A'ight." They nodded. "But do you have any Burnet so me and Chillymoth can know what it looks like?" They asked, as polite as their dead-tone would allow. "Or at least describe it a little better so I'm not bringing back the wrong herb."



"Other than that, no objections." They shifted their black paws. Better to get on Dawnstar, Elmshadow, and Ivysnake's good side if Deadfeather wanted to show their 'loyalty' to Shadowclan.

Sorrelflare lifted his head from his resting spot when he heard the call of Elmshadow, he nodded walking up toward Swanpaw, tail lashing as his gaze flickered, "Come on Aspensnap, if you don't show up I'll leave you behind." The russet enforcer did not care what would happen to the warrior if he never showed up, it was his own fault for not being responsible enough.

Aspen’snap

The young warrior perked his ears as his name was called yet again. Getting to his paws he shook the dust from his brown and golden fur. I’m coming I’m coming! he painted as he padded after the enforcer. I apologize for not joining you sooner. I had misheard and thought you called for my sibling aster’snap. It’s my bad he joked heartily. Bushy tail swayed as he walked beside the enforcer.

The pregnant queen, with an annoyed growl, padded back towards Shadowfur. "No ThunderClan scent on our side of the border, but there was a badger. We all attacked it, and I blinded it." She sat down for a moment, her tail flicking. "And I would like to request, if I may, to not be put on a patrol with Shadefrost again. Him and I will be having some words soon." At her own mention of the tom who had so openly disrespected her, while next to her, made her eyes narrow. It was almost as if she dared Shadowfur to tell her not to. She was not pleased today, and several of the warriors, if the crossed her, would be dealing with her wrath.

On their way back to camp shadefrost had trailed behind the group making sure they weren’t being followed by anything else. He also wanted to take a look at the wound the badger left him. It wasn’t deep, but it did hurt. Yeah, he was most likely going to be digging his claws into a cat’s flesh today. Not long after, Shadeforst saw the party of cats padding into the camp entrance. Speeding up just a little he followed emerging on the other side to hear Dappledleaf giving her report to Shadowfur.

Okay, so it was probably common knowledge that when a cat seemed to want to start breathing fire whenever they said your name, it meant that you should definitely not go anywhere them. But it was clear that the tom didn’t care, because he was currently walking straight for Dappledleaf. Shadefrost was wearing a tiny mischievous grin on his face, as he walked closer towards Dappledleaf. But just as he was about to speak he wiped it off his maw, “Wait what, but why? I thought you and I were having a bit of a connection today, didn’t you?” Shadfrost asked the question in a voice that seemed to be playful and mocking all at the same time, ginuine even if Dappledleaf didn’t see it that way.

FROSTSCREECH

The tomcat was pissed to say the least. “Shadowfur.” He called towards the enforcer. The warrior was bigger than him. Scars near the black toms flank telling of experience on the battlefield. Quite impressive indeed, the bengal kept a mental note of that. “The patrol was eventful. Stars where do I even start…. First it was Cloversun talking about how we have orders to attack any cats. That was after I gave the order to be on guard yet only attack if it is self defense. Then Rookcherry, who was late to leave mind you, had the great idea to cross the border and have a seat?! I said I would be reporting it straight to you. Unless you wish to talk to them about it and punish them accordingly, I was planning on going to Dawnstar. We don’t need another years old feud with Windclan. I didn’t want to jump the rabbit on that one.”

The Warrior cleared his throats “Ahem, that is all patrol wise. Windclan she’s been fairly active on marking their side though, fresh scent. May want to keep that in mind in case anything happens.” Frostscreech’s eyes grazed over the larger toms pelt once more. Eyes finding the ridged scars that lined the toms mid back now even more interesting. Although the observation was a quick one, no more than a few seconds, the Smokey bengal was intrigued about the enforcers backstory. But that was for another day perhaps. “I do want to comment on your work with Vulturefang, since they were the only cat that wasn’t acting like a kitten on that patrol.”

Featherstone sighed as she walked into the camp, her patrol (hopefully) behind her. "Poisonpaw was sprayed by a skunk, while Icebeam helped them find their way back I caught 3 mice, surprisingly." She said with a sigh.
