vixenkit liked the nursery. for one thing, it gave her the perfect place to sit and do nothing but watch, and for another, it was a good way to target young kits who were just as bored as she was. it wasn't hard to find cats who were easily roped into doing things; most kits were entertained by the simplest things, and vixenkit, while she was no stranger to a good game, was good at taking advantage of them. besides, who didn't love a challenge every once in a while?

she knew better than to make up big lies; those were hard to cover for, and the small ones could get out of hand quickly, but thankfully, she had plenty of time to practice. if there was ever a time for it, it would be now. so of course, she was going to do her best to make the most of her time here.

why shouldn't she?

Blackkit sigh and grabbed a piece of fresh-kill from the pile and trotted over to his patch of grass to eat. "Alright Falconstar, what's the plan?"

Gleamkit boredly looked around the nursery. He was super annoyed. No one would talk to him. Stupid leg, because of it all the kits acted weird around him. Whatever, it was all lame anyways.

Falconkit grabbed her fresh kill and sat down with Blackkit. “What plan?”

Icestar listened to Daintybird's dramatic retelling with mild amusement. It was unforgivable that the twolegs had kidnapped another one of her warriors, but the surprise of seeing this one return momentarily distracted her from the burning rage she had been feeling during the end of that clan meeting.

"Well, it's good to have you back," Icestar nodded. "Sometimes it feels like we're running short on competent warriors, so you are truly a sight for sore eyes." Her inner circle had been leaving one by one, and the meetings felt pointless nowadays. "You're not injured, are you? It's hard to say what goes through the minds of twolegs. Horrible creatures."

"Of course," she meowed smoothly, drinking the compliment in and relishing every moment that Icestar's attention was solely on her. "I do try to bring delight wherever I go. Thankfully, I am very skilled in that regard." Now, she was back in ShadowClan -- they could marvel at her paws and express their appreciation that she was improving their lives once again.

Daintybird shook her head, scoffing. "Their filthy paws were all over my fur, like I was their plaything! It was grotesque! Unforgivable! ...But alas, I am tough! I did not allow them to harm me despite their awful advances." However, she supposed a check-up might not hurt anything. "Is that Shade..spots gone? I refuse to have him check me for injuries."

Falconkit hopped into the nursery. She was happy too be back, but ashamed for getting caught. But she needs to tell Melonbelly the story!

“Melonbelly? Where are you?” She peered around the nursery. She could hardly contain her excitement to tell everyone her adventure!

Rootkit looked up from his sleeping place and could hear Falconkit mewing for Melonbelly. He hadn't known where she had been but was curious to figure out. Pushing himself off of the soft moss bed, he sprinted over to Falconkit.

"Hey Falconkit, where have you been?" The small kit mewed to her.

It was clear that she had something exciting to tell.

Creekwind sighed, this was what she was hoping this wouldn't happen."Yeah, I just want to help you out. I didn't mean to offend you and yes we can go and train. I'm sorry." Her gaze cast downward after the last word, maybe she wasn't meant to be a mentor. No, that is one of the greatest duties you can do to the clan. Shaking the doubting thought away the warrior slowly padded to the exit of the camp with her apprentice.

Dewkit had found himself lost from the warmth and comforting darkness of his nursery, his small nose gave a wrinkle of distress as his nostrils were hit with smells he simply didn't want to know just yet. He wanted to go back to nursery, back to his nest and his mum but the prospects of that happening was slim as the bustling cats that stood high above him had (perhaps accidently?) knocked him to the side. Dewkit had ended up to the side of the clearing, his long fluffy tail between his legs as he trembled slightly.

That was until another kit caught his eyes. He approached Acornkit slowly, his bi-coloured ears flattened back. "Could.. I sit with you?" Dewkit asked, looking like any form of rejection could cause the cat to cry on the spot.

Fawnpetal was waiting patiently for Nightpaw's ceremony to end. Although she was filled with excitement! She was so proud that her kit was now an apprentice. She then saw a white pelt running up to her, Nightpaw! When she reached her, Fawnpetal nuzzled and groomed her. "I'm so proud of you Nightk- no, Nightpaw!" She said happily.
