Sharppaw shook eagerly. Finally, she would see the territory, other than the border. She raced to the camp entrance. She didn't even realise how long it had been since she felt the life drain from some inferior being under her paw. The thought of getting a kill after so long lit a fire in her. She sure hoped the two warriors hurried because she would rush out on her own if Neccisary.

The voice calling out for patrols was different than he'd expected and thus took him a moment to put together the words as patrol assignments, though it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise as the last few patrol had been assigned by different enforcers. He looked toward the Shadowledge where the youngest enforcer was standing and calling out for different patrols. He made his way over just as his own name was called out to lead a patrol. He nodded slightly within himself. He hadn't been a warrior long but he'd heard of others getting a patrol lead position early on as a sort of test. He wasn't sure if that was what Larkfire was doing or not, after all Larkfire wasn't any older than himself so why wouldn't she believe he had every capability of leading a patrol? He slowed as he approached Sharppaw and Poppyshine, giving them both a smile and a slight nod. "Looks like I'm the rotten crowfood, hm?" He let his light-hearted joke rest for a heartbeat before he added, "Let's get going, shall we?"

Cougarpaw always liked trips to the Windclan border, to make sure those rabbits weren't causing any trouble. He looked around for the two warriors, Lightningcry [ @furrensic ], and Owlfeather [ @Hopeless ].

The tom was cleaning his split fur when he heard Shadowfur's call. Confusion overwhelmed him at first. He completed the patrol, didn't he? What about the prey he caught? The further he thought about it, the blurrier the memory got. This was not as concerning to him as Shadowfur's words. Mourning ruins? He wasn't sure which was worse, a swamp, or a literal graveyard.

Still, he didn't complain, instead he just turned and left with a lash of his tail. Heading off into the territory to wait off his punishment.

dark, silent, and looming, weeping. hidden under the layers of shadows that were casted over the camp, a figure lifts his head at the sound of his name being called. patrols. a slender paw wipes away still flowing tears as he rises from his spot. whatever the tom is crying about, it's unknown, but it is surely something tragic. for when lightningcry slinks out of the darkest depths, his face is twisted in an expression that can only be compared to one of a soul that had experienced both the greatest loss and greatest horror. though, his head is hung low as he swiftly strides across the camp towards his slowly forming group - the expression is difficult to see. he casts cougarpaw a glance of acknowledgment, but nothing more. with the way the dark tom hunches his shoulders, head tilted at such an angle that shadows casted over his face, it's clear that he isn't one to waste time by being social.

Soon Dawnglare saw the pelt of rosecougar, sliding through the pelts until the two were next to each other. He was quite surprised as he would have mistaken Rose for an apprentice, yet he did not show his reaction. Instead, he dipped his head and returned with a warm smile. " Yes. Would you like to lead the way?" he offered, gesturing to the camp entrance, twitching his whiskers.

The small warrior saw the slight surprise in Dawnglare's face, but lucky for him, he made no comments, so she didn't have to support herself. Ugh. Hopefully he wasn't one of these guys that thought she wasn't capable due to her vertical difficulties. Like Buzzybuzz used to. Before he witnessed the wrong side of her claws. "I'd be happy to." She murmured, moving over to make a move to the entrance, flicking her thin tail so he knew it was time to be off.

"Let's get going, Chillymoth." Deadfeather murmured. "And let's get back before we freeze our tails off. " It might be very close to New-Leaf, but it was still cold out. And they definitely did not want to get frostbite and waste herbs. Deadfeather flicked their tail for their patrolman to follow. And then proceeded to exit camp, turning to the direction of the Icy Heartlands.

Are we still waiting on Branchfire, unless they are here already and my eyes are failing me” he spoke, clearly teasing and trying to lighten the mood. Smokepaw was still an apprentice after all and he didn’t see Mirehound offering any sort of conversation so far. Speaking of Mirehound, the bengal looked towards her. “Mirehound. How is your eye doing?”

His words more questioning of the warrior. She too was going back to the place of the battle. He couldn’t see a reason why he wouldn’t ask about her injuries. He had been blinded by rage at that moment, then was busy dealing with that grey shecat afterwards. His mind was fuzzy on the details, all he really remembered was the key events. Bluetree, then the grey cat. As well as that responsible for Daypaw’s cheek being cut open.
