Duckpaw grinned. The young apprentice wondered which skills she would learn. She was getting more hyped by the second because a huge chunk of what should have been training time was replaced with healing from falling into the river.

Salmonsong smiled,” Alright. The first move I’m going to teach you is a twist n dodge. Basically, when I attack you and try to pin you down all you do is twist until you get free then get away, understand? I’ll try to pin you down when ready alright?”

"Ok," Duckpaw said. She stretched a bit more to avoid getting hurt, then said "I'm ready."

Salmonsong smiled a little bit before lunging forward trying to slam Duckpaw down.

Duckpaw squirmed as Salmonsong pounced at her. She tried her best to break free from her mentor's grasp. After a few attempts, Duckpaw managed to wiggle free.

Salmonsong nodded,” Good job. I’m impressed. Another move I’d recommend is if I attack you, getting on to my back and landing on my back it’s a great way of attacking me.” She meowed

"Okay," Duckpaw said. This is actually pretty easy. the young apprentice thought to herself. She didn't want to get ahead of herself though, because she was betting that she would fail something.

Salmonsong smiled at Duckpaw before giving a lunge forward to see if Duckpaw could get on her back or if she’d mess up this time.

Duckpaw quickly jumped into the air and aimed for Salmonsong's back. As the young apprentice was coming down, she realized that she was a bit off and she fell to the ground. "I was so close!" Duckpaw screeched as she frowned.
