She blinked in Mumblefoot's direction and shook her head. "I'm fine," Duskstar mumbled, her tail twitching. She didn't like the Clan worrying about her, she didn't deserve such worry. So the Torbie watched Softbriar send out patrols, nodding along with them. A couple mistakes, but it was okay. They did well all-in-all.
"Good job, and thank you," she praised the warrior, a smile on her face. The sudden sound of a screeching cat and the scent of fish wafted over her, causing Duskstar's head to snap up. Raising to her paws, she padded over to greet the RiverClanners. "Thank you for coming. ThunderClan will appreciate your help. We will need two guards on duty, and the rest may decide to help patch up the camp or help us with hunting. A few patrols were just sent out but we would not turn down any more help with hunting." She offered a grateful smile as she explained what they needed help with.

Deerpetal had just woken up, not hearing the can meeting. She still managed to get up and pad out of the warriors den. The molly sat down outside the warriors den to look up at Duskstar. She heard that there was going to be apprentices getting mentors. Deerpetal was curious about why some apprentices didn't have mentors anymore.

Mumblefoot shook her head, quietly murmuring incoherent words under her breath. She followed after Duskstar, Duskstar, you seem to be in a lot of pain, and it's very important for our beloved clan leader to be healthy. If you don't get your wounds checked out, you might lose a life because of infection! I know that you want our clanmates to be treated first, but we need you to be strong and healthy so that you can guide us in these times! she mewed, determined to get her to go to Lionwhisker.

Duskstar scoffed. "I already know where the camp is. If you don't have any useful information, then get out." Her pupils were slits, clear annoyance on her face.

She rolled her eyes. "I. Am. Fine. Leave me alone," she growled. Duskstar's tail lashed as irritation began to creep up her spine. She wasn't going to the medicine den and that was final.

The young former-warrior's ears fell back. He was an idiot to think that was useful information. Letting his eyes fall any where but the two ThunderClanners he answered Buckbranch's question. "ShadowClan doesn't have any special battle moves that I know of at least." Pausing, he muttered, "I'll leave."

His appearance said it all. Duskstar looked down at her paws, clenching her jaw. "She couldn't have done anything now, but if she were allowed to grow, she would have done more damage. I didn't foresee her ever changing, only getting worse. So I did what I thought was right." She swallowed the lump in her throat. "I know it's wrong, but... it can't be undone now. All I know is that she began acting up and attacking everyone because she wasn't being made an apprentice." Shaking her head shamefully, she averted her gaze, trying not to look Lionwhisker in the eye.

"And here you had me thinking you knew something useful," Buckbranch muttered. He jumped off the former ShadowClan warrior and moved to stand beside Duskstar. His eyes were narrowed to slits, and irritation curled his lip. "Just get out off here."

Oh, great StarClan, she was going to lose her mind over this kit. "Hunting is hunting," she said bluntly. "I really don't know how to explain it, Sweetpaw." She thumped her tail lightly on the ground, turning her attention to the Highpeak and the apprentices who were being reassigned to new mentors. "Pay attention, please. You might miss something important."

She sighed, shaking her head. "Don't come back. If we see your face around here again, you will be driven off. Now leave." Duskstar took a step forward, her claws unsheathed threateningly. She wouldn't do anything, but she did hope she was intimidating enough.
