Gleamkit smiled as he batted at his ear. He playfully smiled and lunged towards him again, aiming to batter Blinkkit with his sheathed paws. His tail was waving in excitement.

Rabbithop yowled the newly-made warriors’ name. “Falcondive! Falcondive!” He called, but his tail-tip flicked. He didn’t share the warriors beliefs but wasn’t going to hold that against him. He was a strong cat and the Clan always could use new, strong cats even if they had a different view than the rest of the clan. Rabbithop had slinked to the edge of the meeting, late from being in the middle of a nap, but had made it here in time to cheer for the new warrior. Rabbithop dipped his head respectfully and yawned, waiting for the leader to end the meeting so he could finish his nap.

With Falcondive's warrior ceremony taken care of, Icestar could now discuss the whole warrior assessment thing. It was controversial, and watching Falcondive and Hailstorm's battle had brought some things to her attention. She wasn't going to tell everyone that Hailstorm had almost been killed.

"As you all might know, Falcondive was the first apprentice to undergo the newly-instated warrior assessment, involving a full teeth-and-claws battle with his mentor. After supervising the fight, I've decided to make some adjustments.

There are three places that are absolutely off-limits for attacks during the assessment. You must not attack your partner in the throat, eyes, or belly. This is to prevent unnecessary death or disfigurement. While I stand by what I said about a real fight being beneficial, I do not want to lose any cats to it, and I don't want to waste herbs when they could be saved for more important things." She paused to let the crowd take in what she had said. She just had some apprentices to assign mentors to, and then she could state one last thing. The raid. Hopefully everybody would stick around until then.

"Bear with me as I assign mentors to the apprentices who are currently without one. You will all want to stick around for my final announcement.

Whitepaw [ @Splashy ], since you seemed keen on ignoring your mentor, I am reassigning you to Cloverwish [ @TeamRiverRipple ]. Hopefully she can straighten you out.

Chasepaw [ @Chasepaw ], I'm assigning Cunningeye [ @FuzzyRatto ] as your mentor. I trust you will train diligently. We need more warrior ceremonies.

Cherrypaw [ @OhAtropa ], your mentor will be Daisybloom [ @Spiderfrost ]. Daisybloom, I hope you pass along your loyalty and patience to your new apprentice.

Mirepaw [ @CheetahPelt ], I have been informed by one of my warriors that your training has been sorely neglected. Unfortunate that Redheart became so unreliable after becoming a warrior. I'm giving you to Burnetsnap [ @pathos ], since Cardinalpaw has also been nowhere to be seen. I hope the two of you will be a better duo than either of you were with your previous partners.

Cypresspaw [ @LionKitKat ], I'm assigning Dovepool [ @Hexict ] as your mentor. I hope that she will teach you all that she knows.


And lastly, Lichenpaw [ @Zesty Mango ], I'm assigning you to Blackadder [ @S-oft ]. I hope you learn something valuable from him." The leader then waited for the apprentices to greet their new mentors. There was only one more announcement to make, and it was a very important one.

Blinkkit was easily knocked over, but didn’t really seem to care as he hopped back up and battered at Gleamkit’s tail.

Cloverwish groaned. An apprentice?! Couldn't Icestar have picked someone else?! She paused, thinking. Icestar had probably picked her because she knew that Cloverwish was stern, with a no-nonsense policy. I could mold this idiot into an actual warrior! She glanced at her newly assigned apprentice. "Oi, Whitepaw! Come here an' touch noses with me, ya lazy bundle of fluff!"

Rabbithop snapped to attention about the new assessment. He was grateful he didn’t have an apprentice - yet - while Icestar figures out the kinks, but at the same time he couldn’t help but feel that the new assessment was just so... violent. What happened to the good old assessments that needed no teeth or claws, Rabbithop couldn’t say, but he had a feeling this new assessment would bring a hierarchy of warriors and apprentices who would become violent. He had a sense this would not lead to any good in the future. Seeing as she still had to make yet an important and final announcement, Rabbithop waited, tail tip twitching as he curled it, suddenly alert and not ready to be asleep again.

Irisflame watched the warrior's ceremony with Wolfkit, her eyes still guilty. She could see how Icestar was enjoying this. The small prices of humor in her words to taunt the apprentice. Seeing how Falconpaw glanced at the medicine den just made her guiltier. He cared for Hailstorm, under all that show.
"I've seen a few. It must be exciting for you, though, being your first one." She mewed, nodding to the kit. As Falconpaw was presented with his warrior rank, she smiled at his name- Falcondive. She was expecting something more fiery, but, it was a pretty cool name.
"Falcondive, Falcondive, Falcondive!" She yelled supportively. She'd have to locate him after the meeting.

Raventuft called along with Berrybounce, although his yowl was very unenthusiastic. That kit was the tom who had embarrassed him in front of Icestar and some of the clan. He made him look weak and selfish, the little brat. He was amazed at how Berrybounce remained so positive.

He was pretty sure he was joking as he made a face as that Blinkkit assumed was howling. Blinkkit giggled and pawed his belly.
