being addressed by his daughter, sleethound turned his attention away from eggpaw to the apprentice. firebird...why was this clan overrun with idiots. (he had forgotten about the fact he'd also hurt an apprentice..or two. he did not care. he was smart enough to not do it at a gathering in front of everyone, though.) with a small hum, he padded over to stand in front of the den.

he shot a glare at firebird over his shoulder before letting his attention finally fall on the loud apprentice close to him. maybe for their next training session, he'd try to teach them some volume control. (or learn when it's appropriate to start yowling and when it's time to just shut up.) it seemed spiderthroat had it handled though, so he wouldn't end up saying a thing.

¨daaaaAAADDDD!!¨a loud voice called out as the cat trampled through the woods just outside of ThunderClan territory. Wide green eyes peered keenly around, hope glimmering in them that had yet to be quenched. It would find him, it was sure of it! Dogbark was just...taking a walk? A really, really long walk outside of ThunderClan? Well, it wasnt one to judge, so whatever the case was it was sure it would understand his reasoning.

It had been a couple moons since they first started their search, and so far they had found absolutely nothing. Where was he? They forced a grimace of a smile on their face, gaze wavering ever so slightly. Maybe he went back to ThunderCloan, and they just somehow missed him...? Hopefully that was the case. If not, well, they werent sure what they would do. The kit-that-wasnt-really-a-kit-anymore would of course stay a member of the clan, it was their home now, but Dogbark was the closest cat to family that they had. Heck, he was family!

Fleakit huffed lightly to himself, stomping on the ground with small paws as he continued on. Eventually he crossed back over the border and into ThunderClan territory, making a beeline straight for where he thought the camp was. Since he was still technically a kit he had a very, very loose grasp of the territories layout, so he was probably going the wrong way, but that wasnt really a possibility in his mind.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Jaystride's attention had been captured by a loud voice calling in the distance, and from there it didn't take him long to find a young cat stomping around ThunderClan territory. At a glance, he didn't recognize Fleakit - it took closing the distance for him to make the connection. "Oh, it's you." Dogbark's bug. He was a little surprised Fleakit wasn't dead, it'd been a couple moons and Jaystride couldn't remember how far apart their disappearance was from their dad's. Dawnstar's takeover overshadowed it in his mind. "Where have you been, Fleakid?"

Wait, who was that? As the new voice registered in it mind, the young cat quickly squn around in a small bounce to face the other cat. It was...! Wait, who was that?It didnt really know many of its clanmates by name, but no one had really introduced themself to it, so was that really its fault? ¨OH! Its... youuuuuuuu?¨ yeah, no names were coming to mind. The warrior seemed to know it though, so he probably would be fine, ¨pssst, whats your name? I forgot¨ it whispered frankly quite loudly, leaning in a bit closer as it spoke.

¨I was lookin' for Dad! I thought that maybe I would be able ta find him, but hes nowhere... Is he back at camp? Was he looking for me? I'm really sorry I just needed to find him!¨ his voice sped up as he rambled on, dusty green eyes widening into glassy saucers.

[BEAR.]

"Jaystride." There wasn't much thought behind the response as he watched the kid. Couldn't say he enjoyed how he leaned in, just a little bit.

Well, unfortunately for Fleakit, Jaystride wasn't here to beat around the bush. "Dogbark is no longer taking up space in our camp. As far as we know he's dead in a ditch." It was harsh, he knew. But he was going to be as straight-forward with the kid as possible, and being tactful about death wasn't something he excelled at. "Why don't you come on back with me? We'll get you situated again and try to catch you up on what's happened." Mainly ShadowClan, but he was sure the kid had more questions about Dogbark. If so, he'd do his best but.. he wasn't going to soften any verbal blows.

¨Oh...¨ its voice was small as it spoke, a rarity for someone who didnt really know how to regulate its speaking volume. It sniffled, nose twitching. He...he was dead? No, no, no that couldnt be true! Dogbark wasnt able to die, he was super strong! He was supposed to be leader! Not a dead guy! ¨T-THATS NOT TRUE! He´s alive, he has to be!¨ tears pricked at the corners of the young cats eyes, panic brewing behind the anguish. It chewed on its lip, paws working the ground beneath its paws. Jaystrides next words may very well have fallen on deaf ears, barely registering in the distressed cats mind.

Bumblepaw started as someone sat down beside him, turned with a sharp insult on his tongue in case it was some hare-brained warrior trying to cuff him over the ear for dragging his entourage out. He swallowed it and grinned, broad and bright, as he saw it was only Marshpaw, and leaned in to give her a hearty bump of his shoulder. "Man, you shoulda seen her at the Gathering!" he crowed triumphantly. "She made her and her gang of toads look absolutely pathetic. If she even dares to show her face around her again, I'll make sure she won't try a third time."

Her murky yellow eyes shone with excitement and glowed with their usual youthful and playful gleam. Meeting the pale brown tabby's gleaming green hues that glowed brightly from Bumblepaw's clawed face. She wished she had gotten woken up and dragged along with the group who left last night, she missed so much drama and dissing on Dawnstar that she kinda felt hurt she was overlooked but oh well. Marshpaw returned the playful bump with a bump of her own shoulder as the younger apprentice. "I wish I was there! Next time you guys head out, drag me along, doesn't matter if I'm asleep or not wake my ass up ASAP! Bet she did make them look pathetic, they are probably better words to describe them on how foul they were, not to mention how their stench still reeks in camp, but still! I'ma have to pester the life outta you to tell me later."

[ might be a little to excited, also i believe bumble is still 8 i would assume as his toyhouse says so; marsh is 10 so they would make bumble younger <3 ]

Believe him or not, Jaystride didn't really care. "You're free to keep looking, bud. I'm not going to stop you, but I can't guarantee anyone'll want you back if you're more focused on chasing ghosts than being a part of our Clan."

It was Fleakit's call. He was old enough to make his choice - and Jaystride would take him to the border if he decided to value Dogbark over rejoining.

Bumblepaw retaliated Marshpaw's playful shove, a bit harder this time with an even broader grin. "Get your own sorry butt up!" he teased. "I'm not your personal alarm. Come pester me tomorrow and I'll tell you everything. It was a blast."

So he had to choose? He had to choose between his dad and the clan? Well, he really really wanted to find hhis dad, but Dogbark wanted him to be loyal to ThunderClan! And if Dogbark was really actually dead (there was no way, hu-uh), then shouldnt he listen to what Dogbark wanted? Maybe? ¨No one´ll want me back?! No, I dont want that! I wanna be part of the clan! I dont wanna be alone again!¨ he gasped, vigorously shaking his head.
