he listened to thunderpaw explain her reasoning, finally giving a short, stern nod. "if you can promise to not disappear again, then i suppose you can rejoin thunderclan under the name thunderpaw." he said."though, i fully expect to see you finishing your training, even if you don't have a mentor currently. i'm sure many warriors, including me, will be glad to help you finish it." with that, he turns and flicks his tail, gesturing for thunderpaw to follow him. "i'll take you back to camp." he said, beginning to lead the apprentice back to the camp.

Sundust listened attentively for whatever it was Shiningskies was about to contribute to the conversation. He trusted the molly, but still he tensed slightly just in case he needed to climb up the Thunderwillow himself to calm things.

he gently padded out of the warrior's den, his whiskers trembling in curiousisty. the average-sized tom took his seat among the few cats that were already there.

Cinderpaw's claws kneaded her nest as she lay in thought. Unwelcome dreams seemed to pervade her thoughts as soon as she fell asleep most days, so instead she bided a lot of her time in the apprentice's den thinking. Blossomclaw was noticably absent from these, the freakish amalgam she saw the night Bumblepaw had awoken her taking the spirit's place. She hated that dream. She hated having to stare at them again and again. And nobody really cared that she had to, did they?

A small shadow in the entrance of the den roused her from her muddled thoughts. She blinked a few times in confusion, before speaking. "Whaddya doin' here, squirt? Did you get lost on the way to the nursery? Used to do that all the time." Her words held no degrading tone - the nickname was meant to be light teasing. Either way, she was telling the truth about the nursery thing. Cinderpaw really hadn't been the smartest kit (Or apprentice).

Aspenstrike looked back up as her love climbed onto the Thudnerwillow.

Cloudypaw and Houndpaw both also looked up.

After handling the Lightningpelt situation - seeing that Spiderthroat was one of the ones on guard duty gave her comfort in knowing full well that if the tom even tried to escape he would meet a fate worse than exile - Cindersky padded out of the apprentices den to hear Shiningskies call attention. Ah, so it seemed she would have to wait. Soon enough, if her Clanmate allowed, she would go up there. Because ThunderClan and its warriors were barreling down a rather dangerous path and at the end of the line appeared to be a drop-off. If they went over that... who knows what would become of her home.

But for now she sat down near the front, beckoning with her tail for Mistpaw and Bumblepaw who had been assisting her to join her if they wished. "Thank you for your help, both of you," she praised the two apprentices, giving them each a nod. Her eyes lingered briefly on Bumblepaw, knowing that the young tom was close with Cinderpaw and felt just about as scorned as she did by the ThunderClan warriors. "If I have anything to say about it, whoever the next leader of this Clan is will know sure and well that treatment like that towards apprentices or Clanmates in general is no longer tolerated. I have had about enough of you all being talked down to, and it will happen no more."

Giving him a soft smile and an affirmative nod, the silver she-cat turned her attention back towards the tree and waited for Shiningskies to address the Clan.

Shiningskies took a deep breath to mentally prepare herself for what she was about to say and the possible chaos it would cause. Although hopefully the cats below would be smart enough not to start yowling their heads off immediately and actually think about what she said.

"Clanmates, things have been difficult and will continue to be difficult in the coming times, but life must go on. In this leaderless time we must find a way to deal with pressing problems and cats collectively, so I came up with a possible solution. Voting. Anyone could propose a problem that they want dealt with and anyone could suggest a solution, and then everyone will vote on it. Whatever solution has the most votes would be the one the Clan decides. I know that this may cause chaos, however, and should not be used for the more pressing situations like Firebird's until it is proven to work, so I propose a test run."

Now came the part that was sure to ruffle pelts and perhaps cause some yowling. Shiningskies really hoped that everyone would remain calm and respectful, but it was doubtful. Honestly, it was going to be hard enough for the ginger molly not to try and influence her Clanmates views, so she wouldn't blame them if arguments broke out over what she was going to say.

"This test run will be on Nectarflame. She chose the fate of ThunderClan when she brought ShadowClan to our camp without giving us a choice, so now ThunderClan will choose her fate. My suggestion is we vote on whether she is allowed to stay, or if we exile her. Nectarflame will be given the chance to defend her actions, but ultimately her fate will be up to us to decide. If some cats think exiling is too extreme but she still deserves a punishment, then they can vote for the stay option and said punishment will be discussed later. If there are any questions or concerns, now is the time to speak."

Understanding the weight of the situation he thought, pinning his ears against his head. Was this right? It seemed less than likely to serve justice correctly. Opening his mouth he asked loudly, "What will this cat be charged with? Treason? Or something else? What is the criteria for a certain punishment? If you ask me this system will not work." Standing up, he gazed up at Shiningskies, "Your idea is not worthless, though the accused cat should be given a group of unbiased individuals to decide their guilt, as well as a set punishment for the individuals act. The accused should be able to bring up witnesses to bear testimony, though these cannot guilt trip," Blackjaw spoke clearly. Justice had to be given, in his mind, Nectarflame was guilty, but did not deserve exile just yet. Probation, and demotion. Even if the she was trying to help, her actions indirectly caused the death of Thunderclanners.

The blatant disrespect and disregard was constant and Bumblepaw was sick and tired of it. If it was up to him, he'd have ditched that old coot at the border and told him to never come back. Warriors kept getting away with stuff like this, and even if they were chastised, nothing ever serious came of it. Hopefully threatening to kill Cindersky would actually make a difference - though knowing this Clan's track record, they'd turn the other cheek.

He gave Cindersky a wary look as she gestured for him sit down. She, like the others, had been part of the problem; unlike them, however, she'd been doing something to fix it. She hadn't just kept on standing aside. Of course he didn't fully trust her, and he doubted he'd ever trust any of them again, but she'd been trying... surely that counted for something?

One ear twitched as she addressed him in full. "Pretty bold promise," he muttered, tone bitter, but he sat down beside her anyway, tail wrapped over his paws. Her smile gave him a little bit of hope.

He leaned toward her, opened his mouth to say something else - but he was interrupted by Shiningskies, and he turned to blink at her as she spoke. A vote... At first the idea was beyond exciting, and his eyes widened at the thought of finally having his voice be heard. But as she carried on... anticipation was replaced with a pulse of confusion. He wasn't Nectarflame's biggestfan, but... his brows furrowed, and he glanced at Cindersky, wariness having returned in full. "Did you know about this?"

"It is one I intend to keep and uphold until my last breath in ThunderClan." Cindersky did not fault Bumblepaw for being wary; when so many of the cats before her had treated him and his denmates the same way, of course it was going to be difficult to trust again. Trust was something that was earned, and though she would not say it she felt pride in him as he stood his ground for what he believed in.

Shifting her attention to Nectarflame, she bristled in alarm at the suggestion. Surely the she-cat would have seen Firebird to be a bigger threat? The cat had attacked two apprentices from another Clan at a gathering! For the sake of StarClan, that would bring RiverClan down upon them in full force - and ThunderClan was not ready or unified enough to handle that.

Alarm was clear in her gaze as she found she was unable to look away. "I did not." She felt her throat tighten, as she was still unsure how to feel about the golden she-cat. Personal feelings aside, Nectarflame had not been doing harm to the Clan on the same level that Firebird had displayed tonight. So hearing that this was what the meeting would start with shocked the senior warrior.

"Firebird will be dealt with. If they do not bring it up, then I will." She was unsure if that was a concern on his mind but decided to speak on it anyways, in a tone only Bumblepaw would be able to detect. Shock melted into a fierce look of determination as she sat quietly, refusing to speak or vote until Nectarflame gave her reasonings. But this whole meeting was already putting a sour taste in her mouth.
