(Ahh I'm sorry I was the first to post ;v; )
The brown tabby stalked through the territory, his companions by his side. They were ordered to go sniff around for clan cats, make sure they knew their place when it came to border lines. In all honesty he didn't care for the new system, borders, rules, they didn't have to follow them, they could do as they pleased. Sadly the commander thought it was...best if they abided by Skyclans rules for now, it made his blood boil. Orion stopped and perked his ears, he could have sworn he heard another cat talking. The fighter turned his golden hues upon his companions and shot them a toothy grin, his eyes lit up with menace and amusement, finally, something he could look forward to. "Smell that? I smell the weak. What's the plan? Wanna attack them? Cuz I really want to." he giggled, his tail lashed as he waited for an answer from his comerads. He wanted that pleasure of ripping apart those clan cats, hearing their cries, it was one of the only pleasures he could find nowadays. Even if they said no, he wasn't going to listen to them, his mind was made up, from what he could tell there was only one, possibly two cats patrolling at the moment, it shouldn't be too hard to kill them.

Aspenflash guided the patrol along the Dusk Syndicate border. Lately, the group belonging to the dark forest had been causing havoc to SkyClan. The last patrol to walk the same border he now walks were brutally attacked - don't think about it. There was a heavy pit at the center of his stomach, weighing him down. He repeatedly told himself nothing bad would happen, but he couldn't help but doubted that. He stood tall, and his head swiveled in an alert manner. He thought himself insane to let Coconutpaw tag along, but back at camp, he was sure the patrol would just go swimmingly, but now... The point was that she lacked the proper training to defend herself, and if they were to get attacked... He couldn't bear watching her die - he'd go insane! And Jayfall - Aspenflash didn't know the fellow tomcat very well, but he'd seen him around camp. As far as he was aware, the two were on fair terms.
So far, the patrol has been well. However, there was the disturbing, remaining scents of the previous battle between the Dusk Syndicate and SkyClan. Dried blood stained the ground, and tufts of fur littered the earth. But, most strong of the scents was that of the Dusk Syndicate. This is where Aspenflash abruptly halted, his nose twitching at the abundance of smells. He glanced back at Jayfall, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. ``Do you smell that? Fresh Dusk Syndicate - they must think they own this piece of territory now, the squirrel-brains. I'm positive they're still here, don't you agree?`` After receiving Jayfall's response, Aspenflash glanced at Coconutpaw. He was sure to display calmness, not wanting to upset the young she-cat. ``Keep your claws unsheathed, and be alert. And stay close to me,`` He beckoned her near with his tail, ``I won't let anything happen to you, I promise.``
