Sundust's bushy tail flicked as he padded into the den. "Apologies for my tardiness. How are the repairs coming along?" His voice trailed off slightly as he caught sight of the mammoth hole that had just been knocked into his den wall, being quickly repaired by Mothflight. The only thing that gave away his surprise were his slightly quirked brows. "Ah, let me help you with that," he mewed. Dragging a large bramble tendril along with him, he approached the wall then began weaving the stem through any larger holes left in the partially repaired wall.

*Mothflight laughed nervously and continued to patch up the hole*

"If you yell enough, they come running." Jaystride's unwavering gaze rested on Hemlockfrost as she scampered over. "I try to keep tabs on if cats are still around, I wouldn't waste my time screaming for a defector." A lash of his tail as he cast his sight over both of them.

To him, there was something very fishy about the reasons. It stemmed from the lack of communication between both of them - something very apparent on Snailpaw's end. "So, let me get this straight. Snailpaw, you knew about the patrol at some point, but did not feel inclined to inform me of your lack of attendance, nor did you tell me of any misgivings with your mentor." He wasn't going to fault him for not running around looking for Hemlockfrost when he thought she was missing, but..

"Hemlockfrost, apparently you've been so flaky recently your own apprentice was not comfortable seeking you out for this patrol when he did find out about it." This did not bode well for either of them, but Jaystride was always going to be more forgiving toward apprentices. Warriors were suppose to be role models - to guide apprentices. "Is there something I missed?"

He didn't think so. "Hemlockfrost, you are responsible for Snailpaw. If your own apprentice thinks you're missing, that means you need to step up your involvement in his training and life, or you are not befit to be a mentor - let alone a Clan cat!" His fangs bared. Although apologetic, Hemlockfrost's treatment of her apprentice was abysmal. "I am going to give you both an opportunity to make up for this disappointing display, and for both of your sakes I hope you do not fail this. Do the patrol. Go hunting in Muskrat Mire. Learn to function as a team. And I don't want to see a hair of either of you until this is accomplished, and you have three pieces of prey each to show for it. Do you understand?"

The molly only nodded, an emotionless expression painted on her features. She turned to her apprentice. "Let's go. We'll run the way to Muskat Mire to warm up your limbs". The curly-furred warrior beckoned to her apprentice to follow. "Think you can keep up?"

Hemlockfrost was there, at the back of the crowd, quiet, her face devoid of any feeling. What would this be about? The Shadowclan scum perhaps?

As Lotuspaw approached, Jaystride tipped his head at them curiously. He had hoped Sootwind would be more responsible. It shouldn't be on apprentices to report patrols - and after the Snailpaw and Hemlockfrost fiasco this was just disappointing (and not because of Lotuspaw's contributions to the patrol's failure.) "Relax, kid." Lotuspaw seemed to know they messed up, and Jaystride wasn't going to beat a dead horse. "How'd your lesson go? Where's Sootwind?"

They'd discuss the punishments in a bit as needed. But, Lotuspaw getting the training they needed was more important - it meant they'd handle future patrols better.

The grey molly's ears pricked in curiousity as Cindersky's voice echoed through the clearing. She had been relaxing, leisurly eating up a small thrush. So... a clan meeting. Again. Hopefully it wouldn't end in chaos this time. Taking a bit to get up from her calm position, Rainpaw limped closer to the Thunderwillow. Sparrowflight climbed up alongside Cindersky... hm, this was odd. Was this about war or leadership...? She desired for neither, but was aware of the fact that measures needed to be taken. However, would this not be Sundust's duty? Some trouble was already happening, because Sootkit couldn't remain in the nursery and Jaypelt couldn't shut his mouth. What had ThunderClan become? She shook her head with a sigh, ignoring the commotion and giving her full attention to the two mollies on the Thunderwillow.

Mistyshade padded out of the nursery, confused at the sudden clan meeting. At Cindersky's words about keeping the kits in the nursery, she planted herself in the den entrance, hoping this would be enough.

Stagpaw walked up to one of his favorite warriors and nuzzled against her "Hi Mistyshade!" He chirped. He was quite happy today and he didn't really know why.
