Skye heard the sounds of chaos below, but didn't want to look. She was already shivering in terror.

Chris laid still, with his eyes closed. He didn't feel anything around him.

"DEREZZ THEM! DEREZZ THEM NOW!" Pavel yelled out. He caused the crowd to come in a uproar.

Pavel shut his mouth. He looked down at Beck and waited for the program to answer.

Chris was losing more and more poxels by the micro. He needed medical attention, and fast.

"Thank you. I'll take him up." She turned and left the room, entering the arena. She approached Beck and told him to go up to the viewing box.

She sighed at the injured program on the floor, feeling pity on him. She took him out of the arena, planning to take care of his wounds.

Beck deactivated his arena armor, feeling rather awkward just walking into a room with the very programs he was rebelling against. "Paige told me to come up here. I believe she wanted us to discuss the terms of our... interactions?"

Pavel growled but didn't say anything else. He waited for Paige to start. He saw the other program she dragged up here. "Why'd bring him up here?!" He whispered. This was one of the few times he didn't want Paige to be caught.

Paige didn't say anything just yet; she wanted to let Beck say his piece. She took Chris' disc and began patching the wound on his neck. He'd be fine-- only because she took action when she did.

Beck took a deep breath. Here goes everything.

"I want to preface with this," he began. "The reason why I don't derez programs is because... I don't believe that they deserve it. At least, most of the time. Sometimes... it does warrant that. But even then..." he sighed, then lowered his voice "I don't want to make this extensive, but... Paige means everything to me. If someone even tried to hurt her-- that would make me want to derezz them."
