Runningpaw felt her gaze grow sour as the cat called out. She was fine, wasn't she? Oh, wait, no she was not. Or so Littlewish kept telling her. Apparently her tail was infected, and this, and that, and she should go an d get it healed. Blah, blah, blah. She was well enough to go on a Starclan-forsaken patrol! For goodness sake! She was good to go on any quest, mission, journey, walk, hunt, fig- OUCH. Glancing at the mangled mess, she growled at it. It wasn't that bad. Grumbling her way towards the medicine den, she sighed, defeated.

Littlewish jolted from the warriors den, stumbling a bit in the process. Oh my clumsy feet! He yelped, shaking his head. Things were starting off great today. But, he was eager to get into one of those patrols. After all, he fulfills he needed to get out. Things were not doing very well with him being all cooped up and lonely.
"Hey! Brindlejaw! D'ya think I could be in a patrol?" He mewed, smiling. He really didn't want to stay here all day. It would be so boring. Besides, if there wasn't any room, he'd just hung by himself. Things would be fine, then.

Monarchwing's head shot up. She was Lupinpaw's mentor? Even after the rabbit incident... She shook her head and hurried up to touch noses with Lupinpaw. At least she knew her apprentice before they were given to her. That was an advantage. "Good to see you again bud." She laughed quietly, having to reach quite low to touch Lupinpaw's nose.

Lupinpaws body went tense. Oh no, the rabbit lady! He didn't want to go down anymore holes! Tears swelled in his eyes but he quickly wiped them away on his arm. On shakey legs, stepped forwards. Lupinpaw almost flinched when they touched noses. "I dont want to go down anymore holes, please..." He murmured quietly enough for only her to hear.

Lynxpaw turned abruptly as she was approached by a tomcat, smiling up at him as he touched his nose to hers. "Thanks, I hope to be able to be train-able." She laughed, still a little shaky, but trying to be friendly nonetheless. She wasn't going to show her new mentor that she was a scardey cat. Because she wasn't.

A very long, cream arm was quickly draped over her body. Oddear pulled Lynxpaw into his fluffy chest and belly. His awkward limbs encased her in what could only be described as a giraffe hugging a rabbit. "It'll be alright! You're perfect however you are," He meowed excitedly

Coldsong was surprised by Oddear's...advice? Is that what this was? The last time he got "advice" was when he earned the harsh scars that stretch across most of his body. The thought made him frown, but when Oddear touched noses with him, Coldsong couldn't help but lean back and snicker. "Alright, I'll cheer up a bit, no need to get nosey with me..."

Turning to face Oddear as he went on about changing his life, Coldsong cocked his head. "Well, it's not like I was trying to be mean...nobody liked the old me, so I don't exactly want to go back the way I used to be." He sighed and looked back at the ocean. "If I could choose who I wanted to be, I would be the deputy and finally get WindClan out of this depressive episode." Coldsong rolled his eyes with a huff. "But apparently Twilightstar sees more potential in Brindlejaw than me..."

Oddear listened with his elephant ears, nodding along quietly. One thing in life he had noted is that cats seemed to enjoy having the opportunity to talk about themselves - who was he to deny Coldsong that? His voice was pleasant to the ears anyway.

Ah, there it was! The reason for irration, the reason for danger and sadness. Oddear shuffled himself around, his flank pressing againist Coldsongs as his long feathery tail curled around the other cat; An offer of comfort. "Well if you ever became deputy, expect me to be cheering you on proudly. You sound passionate about the clan, excited by the prospects of it thriving; Great leader material," He answered him. Oddear hadn't met Brindlejaw properly, not really, but they wouldn't get along considering Odds own... religion. But Coldsong was a cat he knew - or was starting to know.

Oddear perked up when he heard the mention of patrols -- maybe getting some fresh air that didnt stink of old coyote would be good? He approached Brindlejaw - looming over him as he did with most cats - to offer his services. "I could lend a paw with any patrol?"

"I'm no lazy!" Crescentmoon threw herself playfully at the apprentice, laughing. "Your the lazy one, you disrespectful clod!"

Monarchwing laughed, shaking her head. "No more holes, I promise." To be fair, he was the one that wanted to go in, but Monarchwing figured hunting would take a little bit longer than battle training for Lupinpaw. But, who really knew?

I need every warrior and apprentice to help with hunting and border patrolling." His voice boomed over the clearing. "The only exception is that only the healthy and non-injured may lend a paw. I do not want anyone who is sick or newly injured to help. You have to rest and get better, then we shall discuss with Coyotesnarl if you are in any shape to lend a paw. For the apprentices who wish to help aid, you have to check in with your mentor before you can go if they are injured. I don't need anyone to get mad or in trouble"
Which means he would have to take it easy too with his flank and front left paw. "I need three border patrols and two hunting. If you wish to volunteer please come forward and I'll put you on a patrol." The deputy finished, silently hoping at least some cats would be able to make use of themselves. He knew that everyone was injured in some way, mentally or physically and didn't want to push them further than needed.

(Please do not get offended if you are not put on a patrol you were hoping for. This is weird and new for me as it is for you but for right now this is how patrols will be determined until WC is better)

Chickadeepaw darted over to his mentor and asked Crescentmoon if he could join before walking forward confidently,” I’ll help on the borders...I’m not the best hunter yet, I’d miss most the prey so I should stick to border patrols.” He replied

The Apprentice gave his mentor a smile as he shuffled closer to the molly. Letting out a chuckle at her joke. "Um, Midnightstalker? I'm sorry I couldn't help much during the dog attack...Coyotesnarl had me helping him and Warblerpaw with some of the hurt cats." he mumbled towards the molly. Shuffling his paws as he looked everywhere but her face. "You didn't get hurt did you? Well I mean I know you're a good warrior and you know how to fight and all that but uh..yea" at this point he was just babbling on.

Honeypaw gave an emberassed look at Chickadeepaw, but than he saw how annoyed the tom looked and quickly looked away. Ah. Maybe he shouldn't have come up to his mentor...

Chickadeepaw rolled his eyes,” I didn’t help much either, but what I did help with was repairing the dens and I helped escort the elders and kits back to camp. I carried a kit who’s parents went to Shadowclan back to camp, while walking slowly with an elder as the other apprentices raced ahead in excitement to get back to camp.” he replied, he was slightly smug about it, as if it was something to brag about.

Midnightstalker had this horrible itch to just start running across the moor. It was so so good to be home, back where the wind blew and she had freedom. Nothing against ThunderClan, but how the other clans could stand being boxed in by those trees and not see the sky was beyond her knowledge. "And Honeypaw, I'm guessing you have no clue how to hunt at all?" She wasn't mocking the sweetheart, she was just trying to gauge what it was that needed teaching here. As Midnightstalker talk she began leading them to a rabbit burrow where she knew some babies rabbits would be kept with the warmer weather here. She had come out with nothing but a cut to the ear from the Coyote attack and wanted nothing more than to get her clan and her daughter back on their paws. It was a little hard worrying about them and juggling her responsibility to Honeypaw, she hadn't done a very good job watching over him during the attack and it did leave her feeling a tad bit guilty.
