potato stood nervously in the clearing, not knowing what to do with the dead kit in his mouth. he should probably say something to the clan's leader. he saw cats everywhere, and was starting to despair.

Darkkit padded around the nursery, looking at the new queen a bit confused and sniffing at the new kits, turning to BrightFlame she asked “when can I play with them?”

"They're so tiny!" Coyotekit meowed, her voice loud and obnoxious as usual. She heard the queen mention the kit's father, and looked up at her. "Did he join the clan too? Where is he?"

She shifted uncomfortably, showing her chest scar to the kits. It was long and thin. "He- he got killed by an Eagle, he led it away from me and sacrificed himself to keep me and my kits safe.. that was at the beginning of my pregnancy, he told me.. to find the right place for the kits, a good place, and I think I've found it." She looked at the cats around her, and groomed her kits softly. I'll keep them safe, Cinder.. Her eyes were clouded for moments, as if she was remembering the scene. @Casper @Rainquail @Dawneye

Darkkit looked at the tiny balls of fluff around the new queen “when will they grow? I want to play with them!” She mumbled, sniffing at the small kits

"They should open their eyes in a few days..." She mewed. "In maybe 14 days- they can play, but be gentle!" She purred as her kits suckled.

Puddlekit padded into the nursery, his eyes widening as he spotted the new queen and her kits. He padded up to her. "They're so tiny and cute! What are their names?" He smiled as he watched the newborn kits squirming and keeping each other warm. But it also made him kind of sad as he though about his early kithood. His sisters hadn't survived for very long, so he never got the chance to play with them. Would he still have joined WindClan had his sisters been with him? He shook his head. That was all in the past. Right now he wanted to meet these newborn kits.

"Cinderkit, Hivekit, and Emberkit." She mewed, pointing out each kit for their name. "In about 2 weeks- they'll open their eyes." She mewed. 'Then you can talk- but it will be a while longer until they can really play." She purred softly. @Puddletail

Basilkit proudly looked at the strange queen,” I can watch them, so you can hunt!” she declared. She had no experience in watching kits, she didn’t know they couldn’t eat prey or that they were completely helpless.
