She had dug up two roots now. They both were free of dirt and now there was only one more. She dug up the burdock and brushed off the dirt. Alright. Let's take this back to the den.

It was quiet, as Rainstar slept soudly in her den. The camp was quiet, as all cats were asleep. But something was odd. The scent of smoke could be smelled nearby.
It was rising from the south like a pillar, reaching higher and higher into the night sky. It would only be a matter of time, perhaps only a few mintues, until the Fire and Smoke would arrive.

Cinderdust had always been a light sleeper, so the scent of smoke made her wake up easily. Running into Rainstar's den, she said, "Rainstar! The Fire and Smoke is here again!" @Topaztaill

Orangeblossom leaped to her feet after hearing Cinderdust's warning. "Should we evacuate?" she called over.

Hearing the sound of Cinderdust’s yowl, Rainstar’s eyes popped open. Was that... smoke?
Leaping out of her nest, the leader yelled, “Yes, Orangeblossom, we are evacuating! Warriors and apprentices, make sure the queens, kits and elders get out of camp, now! Everyone, let’s get to the stream!” She had passed by a stream in the northern part of the territory, and she had also seen one in the south, where the fire’s raged. Her only hope was that it didn’t cross and head into camp. But just for safety, Rainstar turned to the only elder in the clan, Whisperwing, who stumbled out of the den, looking quite annoyed, and helped him quickly limp out of camp.

Pheasantflight stayed behind in the camp, to make sure no one stayed behind. Once every left she sprinted out of the camp and caught up with Midnightstripe and Cinderdust. "Okay. We need to talk."

The queen jumped out of her nest and ran after her mate. She caught up and kept pace with him with slight difficulty.
