Daisybloom shuffled out of the medicine cat's den, new facial scar from the raid still tender. The calico found a spot close enough to not block the den entrance and settled down for the announcements.

Rosedapple spotted Scorchpaw's fiery pelt as she was looking for a spot to sit and bumped his shoulder.

"Hey there, you doing ok?" she asked as she settled beside him.

Scorchpaw jumped a little as Rosedapple came up to him, turning and giving her a small smile. "Hi Rosedapple! Yeah um.. I'm doing alright.." He fell quiet as he spotted Freezepaw pad up to the meeting, taking a place a few fox-lengths away. She didn't even look at him. "Rosedapple... is it weird for me to not have made any other friends yet?" He asked, averting his eyes from who he'd always considered to be his best friend to Rosedapple's face, eyes wide with worry.

Freezepaw settled down into a seating position once she'd found a clear spot, eyes turning up towards the highbrach to listen to Icestar's announcement.

Lightbubble trudged out of the warrior's den, a little cranky due to having to wake up from his nap to go sit underneath the highbranch with all his stinky clanmates. The tom shuffled only a few mouse-lengths from the den before plopping himself down, hoping that if he was this far away no one would be too near him to clog his nose with their stinkiness. Or get a speck of dirt on his pelt.

Ribbitkit glanced wistfully around the nursery, hoping for someone he could interact with. He had no idea where his brother had wandered off to, and most of the other kits seemed preoccupied. Not wanting to be a bother or interrupt anyone, he looked for another kit in solitude. The brown tabby tom spotted Eaglekit sitting on the other side of the nursery. He began to approach the other kit. The young kit wasn't quite sure if he considered Eaglekit to be a friend yet. Sure, they had been friendly to each other on several occasions, but Ribbitkit often took a while to fully warm up to others. Reaching the opposite side of the nursery, he sat down in front of the larger kit. "Hello, Eaglekit. How are you doing today?"

Eaglekit turned as another kit, Ribbitkit, walked up to her. Her face brightened when she saw him. "Hey Ribbitkit!" She smiled, remembering the younger kit. "I have to admit that I was pretty lonely until you came over. But, I feel much better now!" She swished her tail, glad there was someone to talk to. "How about you?"

Blackpaw poked his head in the nursery, "Any kits wanna do some training?" he asked hoping to take his mind off of the fresh scar on his eye.

Ribbitkit gave Eaglekit a small smile. "I was fairly lonely too, and I noticed you were alone, so I came over," He briefly paused, collecting his thoughts and searching for something to say. "So, what do you want to do?" The tabby tom stopped yet again as he heard another voice calling out. He recognized it as Blackpaw. Learning a few apprentice things early couldn't hurt. He blinked a couple times and looked back at Eaglekit. "Do you want to go do some training with Blackpaw? It sounds like fun."

Moonkit tripped over herself as she ran over to Blackpaw, her paws popping just slightly “I do! I do!” @Mentallyunstable

"Sounds good, if anyone else would like to come the invitation is open, now let's get you some training. Do you want to learn hunting or fighting?" he said with a smile.

Eaglekit nodded to Ribbitkit and walked over to the other apprentice, excited to learn some new moves. She hopped on her paws. "I want to learn!"

Rosedapple followed Scorchpaws attention to the young cat he had been with the day they had become mentor and apprentice. Her expression passive, they went unnoticed by Freezepaw. Glancing at her typically cheery apprentice to his signifigantly more effected expression she considered their words.


Rosedapple despite her more open nature to communicate--unlike her sister--didn't have many friends. Most of those she had friendships with were too busy in their own lives, and Rosedapple wasn't one to bother if the other didn't put in the effort to keep a friendship strong.


But the calico felt that wasn't the kind of answer Scorchpaw was looking for. Her apprentice is a cheerful, energetic thing too, and to hear he hasn't made any sort of connection to the other apprentices in the clan caused a twist of concern.


"Have you not spoken with the other apprentices since moving to the apprentices den? I wouldn't say it's unusual, sometimes it takes some cats longer to build a connection with others...but, is there something worrying you about it?" her eyes glanced between her apprentice and the unaware she-cat some distance away from them.
