At least she managed to succeed this time. But Tansypaw hadn't forgotten her words from when she had departed. And there was no way she was going to let that slide. Seated and patiently waiting, her tail lashes behind her irritably. Chocolate hues watch as the warrior sets down the herbs where they are meant to go and she prepares herself for conflict. Sigh.

"Thanks. Maybe next time don't give me so much attitude. Wasn't my fault that I had to send you back out." She meows calmly, blinking slowly at the other she-cat. "And don't think I'll forget that rude name you called me before you left. I'll definitely remember it when you need my help. If Weaseltooth found anything make sure you send him my way so I can keep track."

Weaseltooth had returned shortly after shellwhisker, dropping a small amount of herbs- marigold, some herbs that weren't requested such as poppy seeds, some cobwebs and some sticks- in front of Tansypaw. "Here you go, Tansypaw, Ma'am." He dipped his head in respect.

Alright. Leafbare was finally upon them. And looking over her supplies, there were a few things that were missing that they could definitely use before everything officially died off or was harder to find. So she trots out into the clearing of the camp and sits down, tail wrapping around her paws neatly.

"If I call your name, I'd like to ask a favor of you! Rushwater ( @redshiftreign ), Cherryswirl ( @Dust ), Birdsnow ( @poppy ), Snowbadger ( @*Darkstar* ), Adderpaw ( @TheLostAmongstTheStars ), Echopaw ( @endlesshax ), Winterpaw ( @coldwind ), and Sunsetpaw ( @Pangoligon )! Gather around!"

Waiting for the group to form, she gives her chest fur a few quick licks in an attempt to curb her growing nervousness. Once surrounded by most of the group she had called, she offers a small smile and goes to explain what she was looking for.

"So I noticed that I've got no moss and could definitely use some cobwebs. Never know when you'll need 'em. So I'm gonna split ya up into two groups and if ya could bring back as much as you can find that'd help me out a lot. Soooo... Rushwater, Birdsnow, Adderpaw, and Echopaw. You four will track down as much moss as you can carry. Cherryswirl, Snowbadger, Winterpaw, and Sunsetpaw you guys will be looking for cobwebs. Sorry to have you picking past spiders again, Cherryswirl..."

And with that she nods, expecting the two groups to split and get going.

Echopaw moved towards the cats in his group with a bounce in his step, another patrol! He was sure that enough patrols and lessons gained by badgering lone warriors would keep him well on track in his training. It might just be moss, but he found his pelt fluffed up with excitement - if anything, moss was even better for him, he absolutely knew what moss was, after all.

rushwater’s keen ears pricked, a note, a passing sound reminiscent of his name. he made his way to the patrol place after identifying the voice as none other than tansypaw.

he had to admit, the more they interacted the more his respect for the anxious young healer grew. he was much appreciative of the work she assigned him, too, as it kept him busy and unable to overthink. ever since that territory tour, it felt like he was sharing an inside joke with her every time she called his name and sent him on patrol- a silent thank you, and an implied smile. rushwater appreciated her, he truly did. especially since neither had uttered a word of his secret fault. his fatal flaw.

so, rushwater found a place to sit while the cats gathered ‘round, tail curling neatly around his flank and tucking between his paws. the rhythmic flick of his tail tip the only motion aside from the steady expand and retreat of his chest with each breath.

birdsnow, huh? rushwater’s ear flicked, and he inclined his head slightly in thought as he oft’ did. originally, he had nothing but discontent for the deputy. they were about the same age, give or take two-or-three moons, and she had been an apprentice for nearly all of that. now, that discontent had begun to fizzle out into a more amiable opinion. from what he had seem so far, she stood her ground on her decisions, knew when to cut her losses, and was at least somewhat competent. he respected her, at least a little bit. it couldn’t be an easy position to be thrust into, surely. he did not envy her, but nor did he pity her.

not that he’d say that out loud. his opinion was unwarrented, unneeded and unhelpful in any case so he’d keep it tightly tucked away for his own use. she wasn’t so bad after all.

he still wasn’t terribly fond of having a 30-moon-apprentice and a baby leader to be the most powerful members of riverclan, but with the poor hand they were delt they played well. he could not fault either of them for that. his feeling of disconcent was less pointed to deputy and leader now, and more to the situation as a whole.

that and falconfeather’s death. the thought, a fresh wound, left a stir of emptyness and irritation in his chest.

whatever. focus on the task at hand: finding his patrol mates than carrying more moss than any can fathom back to camp.

“One day I’ll be the greatest warrior of all the clans!”

Adderpaw was excited and a part of her wondered if she should be weird for that. She remember Larkstar's words of try to enjoy being an apprentice for a while before becoming a warrior and a part of her wondered... Was being excited for a patrol not apprentice like? It seemed like the older cats thought apprentices as disorganize so that may be so. She shook her head, if she was really worried about this mental battle she would just ask Ripplepelt for advice, she knew what it was like to be both and she was kind. Yet she didn't feel like a patrol was a good time to chitchat especially when they were on the look out for loners. She could see how talking could make them miss the loner. Suddenly she felt cold thinking about the loner slipping by and hurting another apprentice all just because they were unfocused.

Focus then! She shook all those rambling thoughts away and walked straight up to Rushwater and gave him a purr. "Hello Rushwater! Its a pleasure to finally be able to talk to you!" Ugh was that way too formal? It wasn't like he was a high rank. Did patrols even call for such formality? "Seems like we are the first ones" She said trying to play it off cool as she sat down and looked around for the others to arrive, her eyes open for Ripplepelt.
