Two warriors are singled out and Sassafrasfire looks for them among the gathered pawful. Their leader was on about reading expressions, picking apart body language. They weren't too sure they'd be able to wake up from a deep sleep looking pep, but then again they didn't feel like they looked very pep ever. As they watch the trouble unfold, they begin to wonder if Lionstar would ever turn his wrath unto them. Hopefully not... It wouldn't be easy to explain why they just didn't understand the point in smiling or laughing or... Well, anything really. The best the tom was going to get was this right now.

Still, they feel a tiny bit of pity for those who showed up because they did have an interest, but couldn't muster the energy to show it on their faces. Sassafrasfire might have offered tutorials on how to look entirely spaced out without offending anyone, but the cat felt as though one would have to be a very particular person for such a thing to work. You couldn't be a turbulently emotional sort and all of a sudden walk around looking no better than a stone along the shore, now could you.

Goosepaw wriggled his way out of the apprentice's den at the sound of Lionstar's call. Just in time, it seemed, to hear the giant leader go off on some irritating Clanmates. He curled his lip in displeasure. "If you don't want to listen, shut your mouth and leave," he muttered. It was so annoying that even after Lionstar's last announcement cats still showed up in ugly moods acting like their presence was a necessity. By the moon-loving stars, let all of us watch in listen in peace WITHOUT your griping faces. He sat back, frowing at the crowd, trying to locate the warriors Lionstar was scolding while also keeping one ear turned toward the golden tabby in case there was anything else needed to be said.

As Emberfang walked out of the warrior's den he saw all of the cats gathered around the Streamstone. There must be a clan meeting! "How could I have not heard the call?" He thought to himself. "Oh well, mine as well listen to what Lionstar has to say," he mumbled as he found a spot where he was comfortable.

RiverClan Announcement [#liontalks]

Letting out a small, angry huff Lionstar moved on from the cats that didn't respond. Pathetic, useless sacks of fur.

A perk of his ears and a grin overtaking his face, and he was back to his being his usual upbeat self-- though he kept an eye on the crowd. This wasn't a matter of looking disinterested or bored, it was the matter of looking angry, moody, or sour. Unwilling to even put on a neutral expression because they felt inconvenienced by an optional Clan meeting. There was a reason he had only yelled at those two-- because they didn't even try.

"Today, I have a few announcements to make but I want to start with something very special.

"It's not every day I get to promote kits to apprentices, and we have a few ready to take their next step into becoming warriors.. and hopefully productive ones, at that!

"When I call your name, step forward! If you fail to come up, you will not receive your apprentice name or mentor.." And if they failed enough times, he'd have fun kicking them out. Lionstar didn't have room in his Clan for cats who couldn't attend their own apprentice ceremony!

"Sparrowkit [ @:Grimm:], Ivykit [ @FuzzyRatto], Foxkit [ @Mentallyunstable], Rosekit [ @Fang], Nightkit [ @Sneakyfox55]!"

Foxkit jumped when she heard her name. She slowly inched forward into her place before the clan leader.

Now, Fallenstorm may not have known these kits, but nonetheless she was very excited for these kits. She smiled at the sight of the kits becoming apprentices.

Flyfur's ears began to twitch excitedly for the kits as they stepped forward. She was mostly glad there would be more room to stretch out in the nursery, but she was also hoping her brother could finally have an apprentice. His attitude was surely the reason he was never given an apprentice in the past.

With a rushed huff, Pebblepaw scrambled to the grouping beneath the streamstone - attempting to catch his breath as he settled down. Tardy, but not late! At least, it didn't seem like he missed anything important! Phew! Wiping away the imaginary sweat drops, Pebblepaw listened intently. Oh? New apprentices?! Pebblepaw inwardly groaned. The apprentice's den was getting so damn cramped... at this point he might as well sleep in his workshop!

Sparrowkit wasn't planning on coming to the meeting when he heard his name called! Then the name of other kits! He must be getting apprenticed! He bounced out and over to the Streamstone excitedly, he looked at the other kits only to sadden. See and realizing that Sunkit wasn't called.

Brightwhisker sat up a little straighter, a happy grin on his face as the announcements got underway after a few less than respectful reactions to the call for the meeting. The tom watched as each other the kits called came before their leader.
