Heather's cheeks puffed at the sound of her name. She cautiously approached the Highbrance, eyes round on Icestar with a dumbfounded expression.

Heatherkit? That was her name now? There was a moment of silence in her, but her nervous expression eventually melted into a grateful smile. "Thank you, Icestar!" She bowed down to her in a graceful manner.

Redspot looked at Fawnpelt with sorrow in his eyes. "Sure, he did cause a racket during a meeting, but no. He's not lost. He was actually found at the borders, and he..." Redspot trailed off. She probably doesn't want any kits hearing what the actual word is, he thought, concerned. "...He's gone. Gone for good."

Daintybird stood up a little straighter and cast a glance over her shoulder to gauge the expressions of her adoring clanmates who must admire her even more extensively for this heroic feat in saving a lost kit from certain death. They could save their "ooh"s and "aah"s for later, she would graciously drink in their praises once Icestar was finished with her turn in the spotlight. "Oh my darling Heatherkit, what a wonderful name," she purred if only to hear herself speak; her kit being a full member of ShadowClan was more of an afterthought, but a pleasant one.

"Oh yes... Yarrowkit," Daintybird meowed as she emerged from her nursery-nest, a bitter taste in her mouth as the name rolled off her tongue. "I do believe I know that one, or did know might be more appropriate. Were you not in attendance at the last meeting? Yarrowkit accused Icestar of awful, terrible things. It's hard to believe such traitorous thoughts came from a young mind, but alas, it is still unfortunate that it had to meet this grisly end. Have you already informed Icestar?" she inquired but didn't let them have a chance to answer. "She may not want a vigil thrown for that one, but a burial is still in order."

Redspot dipped his head, his eyes wide with shock. Did Yarrowkit really say horrid things about Icestar? That nasty little... He stopped himself from thinking anymore. "Y-yes, you are very correct. Icestar doesn't really want a vigil for him." He then thought of asking Daintybird a certain question... "Does Yarrowkit have any parents?" he asked hopefully. Maybe, they'll see their son one last time... Or, he might have no parents.

Fawnpetal was shocked that a kit would even have the guts to speak to Icestar like that. Even herself, a queen thought Icestar was terrifying. "Wow, that... just wow." She mumbled. Did Icestar kill him? or did he run off and pass. Either way, she didn't know of his parents, so she stayed quiet.

Cypresspaw called out the names of the names of the new apprentices and warriors. Shadowclan was recovering very well from the raid, and she was happy for them.

Honeypool laughed a bit as the older kit climbed onto his back. He shook his pelt softly, though not as much to knock her off. "You cannot defeat Honeypool the awesome!" He laughed as she climbed over him. She would make a good apprentice someday.

"Yes, that's how I feel," Redspot sighed. He decided that he would do vigil himself. "I'll... be right back," he said, padding off. Redspot would have to go somewhere quiet, else some cat might see him...

Daintybird let out a long sigh, shrugging. "If Yarrowkit did have parents, they must be too ashamed to show themselves. They didn't speak of any and didn't have the manners to suggest any were present in their upbringing, so I am inclined to think not." Nobody wanted to claim a troublemaking kit, apparently... not one that was in bad sorts with Icestar. A bit belatedly, she added, "My condolences, though. I'm certain your stumbling across the body was rather upsetting."
