Shrikekit batted a little mossball between her two paws. Bored. She was bored. The nursery didn't have much exciting stuff today. Like friends! Playmates!! That's what she needed right now!

"Hello!" A voice called from a corner of the nursery. A fluffy ginger kit with gleaming yellow eyes smiled. The wobbly kitten stood up and slowly made his way over, paw after paw. "I'm Stumblekit!"

Her eyes flickered over, surprised to hear another voice - a new friend?!?! "HI!!" She bounded over, "I'm Shrikekit, it's nice to meet you!" She yelled - volume control wasn't her strong point.

Stumblekit tumbled back from the force of the yell, fur slight raised. "Woah!" He mewed in surprise. "You scared me! Nice to meet you, Shrikekit." He licked his back fur to calm down and smiled. "Wanna play something?"

Scared him?!?!? What was scary about her? Hmmm interesting... Anyway. "Yes!!" Her eyes fixed on the mossball she'd just been playing with, "what about some mossball?!" She grabbed the ball in her mouth, attempting to toss it towards him.

Despite his shakiness, he expertly swung the moss ball back to the other kitten with ease, only stumbling a little bit. "Let's play past-the-kit!" He crowed. "It's a game I made up! You just have to bat the moss ball past me in order to win!"

"OOoooo okay okay!!" She pounced back and forth giddily. You know what, Stumblekit's pass was quite impressive, maybe better than anything she could do.... Hmmmm. Hmmm hmm hm. Interesting. She instantly whacked the moss ball, trying to get it with both her forepaws, - falling flat on her face. Not that she cared! She'd hit the ball! She instantly sprung back up, eyes on the ball, as it rolled toward Stumblekit.

Stumblekit toppled on his big paws only for a moment before hopping back up and batting at the moss ball. One day he'd be a great defender, but for now he had to focuse on getting up when he fell on his tummy! "Ha! That was really good! You almost won too, if I hadn't been quick enough!" The tom swatted the ball back to Shrikekkit.

A tiny, mottled ginger head popped up from behind the rim of the moss nest that the kit resided in. Slowly, the she-kit pushed herself up to the nursery floor, ice-blue hues wide wide wonder and curiosity. Flickeringkit blinked a couple of times before spotting a moss ball, throwing herself at it.
Tiny, fluffy paws batted at the ball of moss, and Flickeringkit rolled over onto her back to kick it up into the air.
