"Help?" Bearspot asked. He thought back to the Clan Meeting and how Kestrelstar mentioned coyotes possibly gathering around our territory. A chill went down his spine as he recalled those thoughts, and having Dragonflyfrond around wouldn't hurt.

"Of course! Kestrelstar mentioned that we had to go out of the camp with three cats now, so I needed someone else to go with anyway."

Dragonflyfrond, nodded. Happy to be useful. Although judging from Bearspot’s initial reaction he supposed he shouldn’t ask if mentors wanted help. Of course! They don’t need my help! They’re mentors after all! He pelt prickled with embarrassment. He’s have to remember that for next time. For now he waited for Bearspot to leave first so he could follow him. He didn’t want to act too proud during some cat else’s training session.

Twilightstar lowered her head in a respectful greeting as Kestrelstar arrived, her mood brightened once she had learned that some of her cats were here after all. In other news, Kestrelstar looked better, healthier, and stable, more like a leader RiverClan could depend on. It was quite the contrast compared to the leader he had first started off as. A soft smile bloomed on the smaller leader's maw in response to comment about WindClan and their troublesome wind.

"The wind is unpredictable and unruly, not even the clan named after it could hope to understand it. I suppose it was pure luck that Coldamber and Tidepaw arrived here. I can't thank you enough for your hospitality." Gratitude mixed with a warm delight made her words sweeter as they left her lips. Twilightstar wasn't sure if WindClan's ever dealt with something like the wind turning against them, but for as long as she had been standing it's never been a problem before. It had been an unnerving experience that she wouldn't wish upon anyone.

"WindClan is doing fine now that the weather has settled, we had to rebuild most of our dens and the wind blew some new faces, but aside from a few... hiccups, here and there, it's nothing that we can't handle." Twilightstar's tail swayed behind her thoughtfully for a moment before deciding that they'd learn of it sooner or later. Snakeheart's arrival was greeted with a second nod of her head. Her decision to make them aware of Peachfrost's disappearance was solidified with the RiverClan medicine's cat's requirement.

"The worst of the damage comes from the numerous missing cats, quite a few of them were lost while hunting for the clan. Even though most of them have returned, Peachfrost is among the missing that haven't been found." Saying it out loud left a bitter aftertaste in her mouth. The loss of a medicine cat would always weaken the clan, the loss of a medicine cat without a replacement with leaf-bare looming over their shoulders...

Any further thoughts or conversation about the missing medicine cat was dismissed when Coldamber arrived. Hmmmm, that did not look like warrior happy to return to her home. Coldamber was doing nothing to hide her clear apprehension and reservation at coming over. When she finally arrives, she stays seated between the RiverClan leader and Medicine cat, it was curious, to say the least. Twilightstar left it alone, directing her eye to glance at the warrior Tidepaw was with.

With both members of her clan returned, Twilightstar rose to stand, not trying to be impudent, but she was a little eager to return to her clan. She was uneasy and would forever be uneasy not being near her by her clan. That last time she had left, Dawnstar caused a number of casualties. The ShadowClan's rat's been quiet as of late, yet, it was never a good idea to get too comfortable with a lunatic like Dawnstar prowling around.

Tidepaw smiled up at the large warrior, a quiet purr rumbling in her chest. "Thank you so much for letting me stay with you, Sunsetbloom! I'll be sure to bring you some extra pretty feathers during the next gathering!" The apprentice affectionally butted her head against the molly's shoulder before bounding over to stand with Twilightstar. She had a blast staying with Riverclan, but she was quite excited to be making her way back home. She missed the big open moors, and all the birds and bunnies the roamed their territory. Fish... wasn't her favorite. And the Riverclan territory seemed more crowded in a way.

She would have to tell Silentstorm about everything she had seen! All the funny plants, about what fish tasted like, what shells she had found. She wondered what the clan had done while she was gone - what was it like during the Windstorm? Was the camp okay? How bad did the winds get?? That was one thing that made her anxious about returning home: the potential of things being different, or destroyed. Sure, things would be repaired swiftly, but she didn't like the idea of the camp being a wreck when she returned. No, better to be positive. Things would be fine. Eventually, at least.

Compared to all of the glares he received during meetings, all of the harsh words spat his way, Kestrelstar first felt unsure how to accept such praise. He didn’t hear it often, but something about it coming from a leader he really did respect somehow made up for it. He truly was striving to become a better leader for his Clan, by putting them and their needs above his own personal vendettas - most of which were gone, slinking back into the shadows that had since left his mind.

Yellow eyes shining brightly, Kestrelstar nodded at her appreciation. ”WindClan would’ve done the same for us. Besides, there is more than enough prey to go around - though I’m sure they both prefer rabbit over the taste of fish.” While he hadn’t gotten close with any of the WindClan members while they had been here, that was a given. Each Clan had their own preference for food; WindClan had rabbits, ThunderClan forestry prey, ShadowClan toads and other... vile creatures; RiverClan had fish.

Hearing that Peachfrost had been among those missing, Kestrelstar felt his heart tighten and gaze shoot over to Snakeheart. It gave him a certain appreciation that he remained stable and unwavering, despite all of the challenges that had faced RiverClan and himself. ”I’m sorry to hear that,” he replied, looking back to Twilightstar. It dawned on him that this was a privy piece of information, and realized the weight of what it meant that Twilightstar had shared it with him and Snakeheart.

Taking note that Snakeheart had joined him along with the two members - it wasn’t lose that Coldamber stayed seated beside himself and Snakeheart - the gray tabby raised himself to his paws. This moment was fleeting, and soon he knew Twilightstar would wish to return to her own Clan. But Kestrelstar was uncertain of when he’d get the next change to speak so candidly with the older leader. ”I know you’re eager to return to your Clan, Twilightstar. But if you have a moment or two, I’d like to speak with you in my den in regards to an issue both of our Clans seem to be facing.”

He didn’t want to speak too much more on it lest there be ears trying to eavesdrop. Kestrelstar hadn’t so much as hinted at any retaliation against ShadowClan due to the fact that he was just afraid to make any missteps with his Clan following his disappearance. There was a slight urgency in his gaze, and if studied close enough, a bit of lingering anxiety, but his posture and body language did nothing to reveal that to anyone who was not looking at his gaze. ”I’m sure Snakeheart would appreciate a few moments to say his goodbyes to Coldamber.” It hadn’t been lost on him the connection his brother had made with the older warrior. Normally a friendship that close would’ve concerned Kestrelstar if it were any other two cats, but he trusted the medicine cat.

Coldamber didnt seem happy to see her clanmates and something about that wrenched Snakehearts heart. Giving a small seldom heard mrrrp at the mollys approach the toms head cocked a silent 'whats wrong' that the molly would understand. Answer or no his next action would be the same with a short gentle head butt expressed comfort and support for his foster mother. The medicine cat was ever ever a good son and even though it was bitter to be potentially parted he wanted Coldamber happy no matter what. Sure it ached that he couldnt show her the hot springs like he'd planned to tomorrow or that he wouldnt have time to teach her his favorite sport of 'bird' harassing but.... windclan was her home, right? A supportive tail flipped around to bracket the molly as a bittersweet smile tried to hide his pain.


At least until his attention was stolen by the news of Peachfrost briefly. Ears tipped back to a worried set at the news and Snakeheart frowned concerned at the giant mollys disappearance. That was really bad news not just for his friend but for windclan and the tom offered a "Im so sorry if you find her please tell her to swing by for some extra herbs, Ive been stockpiling for the winter so have extra. And if you cant end up finding her..... Well Im always here and happy to train any windclan cat you wish herbs, I'd offer to come to you but unless our clans group up I cant spend to much time away from riverclan. Im planning on taking an apprentice soon but Im still here if you need me."


It was only but a moment until he was reminded of his mother and his attention was brought back. He really did try to stop the droop of his ears at the thought of goodbye not wanting to upset the molly but he feared he was unsuccessful at keeping all the sorrow off his face. "Ah yes. Goodbyes... I-I I dont know what to say here I guess I just wish you could stay longer."

He started to pad towards the camp entrance and then looked back at Dragonflyfrond. He signaled for him to leave the camp with him.

"A river nearby Twoleg territory," Bearspot replied, turning back towards the silver tom, "It's filled with trout, bass, and catfish, so it's an appropriate place for river hunting training. Best to go out at night so that there are no Twolegs hunting in the river."

As he told this to the tom, the word of his leader, Kestrelstar reminded him of the fault of this plan. Leaf-bare is fast approaching, and the predators that normally find food elsewhere will be coming closer to our camp. Should he call off this training now, or would it be best to train Hazepaw sooner before even more predators hunt near the river during the most unforgiving days of leaf-bare?

"On second thought," The large tom considered, flicking his stub-tail back and forth, ""I'll have to speak with Kestrelstar before leaving camp to the river. It would be best to have our leader's judgment before hunting near Twoleg grounds." He looked back at his apprentice, "I apologize for delaying your training for a little more, Hazepaw."

The silver tom looked confused for a moment then nodded as Bearspot explained. He glanced at Hazepaw. Yes that makes sense! We wouldn’t want Hazepaw to get hurt! He nodded.
“Good idea. Call me over if once you have an answer. If-if you want to.” Dragonflyfrond, didn’t want to overstep his bounds. Bearspot was a mentor and he was barely even a warrior.
