Crow’fire you added up to the patrol place once he heard his name called he wondered why so many cats had failed to show up for their patrols? Surely it wasn’t a coincidence if this many were not showing up, right?

It wasn’t any of his business though, he just needed to do his job. “Alright! I’m ready to go![“ he mewed, finding his patrol mates and standing near them with a warm smile on his face./INDENT]

The clearing had been quiet all morning. Cats were going about their day, the sun was shining, and ThunderClan was finally reaching levels of peace for the first time in moons.

Boooorrriiiinnggggggggg.

Out zoomed Crowpaw from the apprentices' den, taking several laps around the clearing. "RAAAAAVEEENNNNNN!" They called for their sibling, wondering where they could be. "I'M BORRREEDD." Birds erupted from the nearby trees when they yowled again, and it caught their attention. They stopped to stare at them overhead, all wide-eyed, completely forgetting that they were looking for Ravenpaw.

“Let’s getting moving and get this done,” Birchheart says. “Just you and I, I believe.” The large cream tom had a warm tone. “You can lead the way if you’d like!” The tom motioned the other cat forward with his tail. He hadn’t really been the this border as much and he figured he’d just let his clan mate lead.

Birchheart gave Blackjaw a poke with his paw. The cream tom’s pelt rippled as he jumped on top of a rock nearby. Sniffing the air, Birch gave his friends ear a lick to get attention. “How you doing?” He said with an eyebrow raised. Birchheart was hoping to talk, about their apprentices, more too.

The black tom jumped, and quickly turned around to see none other than the familiar face of Birchheart. Laughing it off, he meowed joyfully, "I've been doing good, thank you!"

“So, how’s your apprentice been doing, how far along are they?” Birchheart asked sitting down next to his buddy. “How are the kits, I haven’t seen them in awhile!” Now that he thought about he hadn’t seen them much since Birchheart got his first apprentice. “Good thing is, Dapplepaw is finally an apprentice. She deserved that a very long time ago.” He said with a tired, glazed look in his eyes, but with pride.Laying down, the cream tom wrapped his tail around his front paws and flicked his ears. “Clearpelt will have her kits any day now!” He meowed, cheering up a bit.

Crow’fire couldn’t help but think that had been a relatively quick patrol. To be fair it was just marking the borders, and Shadowclan hadn’t been seen on the patrol so it made sense how it was short. “Sparrow’flight! I’m here to report the patrol!” he mewed, hoping to sound confident. “It was overall uneventful, the borders are marked, Shadowclan scents were a tad stale but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about” he noted. Was he doing this right? He hoped he was doing this right. It was his first time reporting a patrol, he was excited, yes, but also nervous he was messing something up.

➢ Blinking at their close friend, the slender tortie felt like she was lying and that there was something on her mind that she wasn’t spilling, but it wasn’t their business, was it? At the mention of the last meeting, a shiver seemed to run up Brightpath’s spine at the very thought of it. It wasn’t Cloudyflight’s fault, of course. Everything had just been so overwhelming lately.

“I… could be better.” Brightpath admitted with a shrug of their shoulders, “I know I should be happy that he’s gone and not in ThunderClan anymore, but I still feel… sick to my stomach on certain days.” They didn’t really know how to explain it further than that. However, before the young warrior could think of anything else to say, Sparrowflight’s voice captured their attention. Batblood would be replacing the apprentice that didn't show. Great. Wonderful. Perfect. Brightpath glanced around.

Tapping their paw impatiently, the lean feline was truly tired of waiting. "We should just go and do the patrol without a third cat," They muttered, loud enough for Cloudyflight to hear, "I don't want us to get in trouble just because some beebrained cat won't show up on time." Both of them were warriors now, so it's not like they needed an adult to watch them or something.
