Dang it. No apprentice ceremony for Brindlekit this time, and he watched with not insignificant jealousy as his brother and sister were called forward for their ceremonies. Why did THEY get to be apprentices and he didn't? It wasn´t fair! At least, his adolescent mind was fully convinced of the injustice of this, and his small face (though larger than the average kit) contorted into the expression of one who had swallowed something a good bit bitter. It seemed neither Swankit nor Elkkit had come to stand before Bumblestar yet, so the possibility remained that they would be waiting along with him, but knowing them they´d be up there in a moment and annoying in their apprentice-ness. Ugh. He was quite cross, though he kept watching the proceedings. He would cheer, he figured it wouldn´t be a proper thing to do to let jealousy affect his public actions, but he might not enjoy it. Poor little Sunkit missed her chance to be up there with her littermates, she could already hear elkkits gloating. He did it with dad during their snake lesson so it wouldn't be surprising if he came to them later on throwing it in their faces. The puff ball stomped her feet down as she sat there pouting for the moment. She would have to wait till the next time they had a meeting to become an apprentice. Amber eyes spotted her other sibling sitting amongst everyone else, she didn't hear their name called either so guess she wasn't alone in this boat.

Swankit nodded in agreement with Timberkit’s conclusion. Perhaps her father was out hunting, or there was the chance that she just couldn’t see him right now. Of course, this was all fine and dandy until their leader called Timberkit followed by… her?
She could feel her heart slamming against her ribcage as Bumblestar then called her older brother’s name as well. She was going to be an apprentice? What about Sunkit? They were supposed to be apprenticed together! She didn’t want to… she couldn’t do this without Sunkit too.
Like a robot, Swankit slowly and silently made her way in front of the Stormcrest along with the other prospective apprentices. She was so nervous, did her fur look okay? Was Mommy here to watch? Where’d Daddy go? Oh no, she was going to mess up wasn’t she? She couldn’t do this, she couldn-
A thought came to mind as she looked at the looming figure of their leader. They turned back and looked over at where they’d seen their younger sister, Sunkit. Sending a pleading look her way, she then turned back to Bumblestar as if strengthening her resolve.
”Bumbly--” She mewed, voice coming out in little more than a squeak. Oh no, oh no, oh no. She messed up, she was going to bring shame to Mommy and Daddy… They would be disappointed in her…
”Bumblestar–” She mewed a little louder, afraid that all of the eyes of the clan would then be turned to her, judging her, waiting for her to mess up again to tear her to shreds. ”Can… Can Sunkit be apprenticed too? I– I don’t want to be apprenticed without my sister. She’s just as old as me, you know? It’s okay right?” She cringed away as she asked the question, fearing rejection, fearing the leader’s disapproval. Legs trembling, she fought the urge to run away back to the safety of her mother in the nursery before adding a little ”Please?” for good measure.
Relief that she hadn't missed anything yet pulsed through the gray queen as she let out a soft, proud trill as two of her kits were called up. The flashes of those kittens she had lost along the way weighed her heart down heavily but she attempted to curl her tail around Brindlekit and Sunkit as she tried to send a warm smile towards Elkkit and Swankit. Oh her little babies. Not so little anymore. Elkkit was elkkit, not nervous at all, but Swankit looked... Terrified. She tried to meet her daughters eyes and give her a comforting nod, anxiousness stabbing her heart but she knew she couldnt exactly hold her paw as she went up there. But that didn't mean she wasn't terrified like it was her own ceremony.

She was content on waiting next time but it seemed her sibling had other plans and it surprised her. Sunkit was aware that both she and Swan had wanted to get apprenticed together, it was planned. Yet she made the mistake and had forgotten a few things and was prepared to be held back. Now here was swan pleading with leader bum to make her an apprentice now instead of waiting. She didn't want to make her sister's pleading useless if she chose to ignore it and stay seated where she was, so she moved. Not wanting to make Swan wait any longer the big puff ball ran over and stood beside Swankit brushing against her to show support.
Ooh, a meeting! Young Maple's ears pricked and she bounded over, looking around for a familiar face. Her brows furrowed when she didn't see anyone, not Antfluff, none of her siblings... "Antfluuuff! My army of siblings! Someone's gotta be there!" she called out and looked around herself for a few more moments until she focused on Bumblestar. Apprentice ceremonies, that was cool! They wondered when theirs would be done. They couldn't wait to train like an actual warrior, it would be amazing and they'd ace their training for sure.
Springpaw long-furred, oriental-shaped, gray-and-orange calico molly with blue eyes; torn right ear
purrks: herbal knowledge - tier 2 | the collector | mind reader | skip the steps[all perm. active; sts for battle training]
Springpaw’s head felt muddled. Lost in the visionary of her thoughts that kept hurdling themselves through the loneliness that drifted through the wind. Its strings feel plucked like a haunting melody of allies who’ve come and gone, washed away in the ever-swirling sandstorm of time. Each thought that coursed through her body felt like a hot rush of sand being poured onto her body all at once. Everything just kept bothering her; the current state of her clan, the lack of rest, and the lack of herbs. Sure, the storage had already begun to replenish itself from cats coming back with the herbs she required, but it was still a minor struggle for her to comprehend from just the mere fact that some cats were just far too negligent to listen to her orders. Was it just from the fact that she was just a mere apprentice? Or, was it the fact that she was nothing more than just the clan’s healers that certain cats thought that it would be nice to just be entirely ignorant of the medic’s orders? Such incidents had occurred with one of her patrols having failed to report back on time, only just fueling her disappointment to most of her clan-mates. Even with that lingering emotion, she still saw ThunderClan as her home; her birth clan. She was born there, and this was her clan and she’d do anything to keep it from succumbing to illness. Even if that meant that she’d take precatory precautions next time and go out of camp with the assistance of a few warriors to gather the right herbs that she needed. It was better to be safe than sorry, after all.
Her ringing thoughts grew to a close as she watched a familiar apricot-colored feline that seemed to notice her distant expression. Tired, fatigue-filled blue eyes locked with a lighter, powdery shade of blue as Strawberrymumble placed herself right next to the calico. Her words felt like an awash of white noise to her ears, but Springpaw allowed herself to remain intently focused on what the other oriental-shaped feline needed, to say, finding herself pitifully wordless at the best. There wasn’t a lot for Springpaw to say. She wanted to thank the molly for bringing back the herbs that she had requested for her to find, but the words felt tangled and twisted in the depths of her throat. Her words also brought a glimpse of sheer guilt into the molly’s belly, stabbing it deep within. Even if Springpaw had been handling everything due to her mentor being incapacitated, it didn’t mean that it just meant that she was just an all-knowing healer. Her knowledge only extended so far, and Strawberrymumble’s appreciation for her hard work and seeing if she needed anything only just made the calico fall into a bottomless pit of uncertainty. “I… thank you… for the… support, Strawberrymumble,” the medic began, finding the proper words unfolding off her tongue as her blue gaze glanced away from the other molly’s similar blue hues. “But I don’t need… any help… right now… I just… need to… make sure… everyone… is doing… alright… it’s my… duty as… a medicine cat… to make sure… everyone’s… health… both physical and… mentally… is at… a standing point.”
The statement in itself felt relatively harsh to state explicitly towards the soft and kindhearted feline, but it was true. Her biggest priority at the moment was making sure everyone who was injured during the raid was all patched up and healing well. The exhaustion that overcame it made it difficult to keep herself in check by just keeping an eye on every cat inside the clan, but she powered through. Cats can worry for her all they want, but her biggest priority is on them. She wasn’t going to just stand on the sidelines and allow them to perish just so easily. Both Eveningdance and Tawnykit died because she didn’t try hard enough and now she isn’t very keen to make the same mistake twice. Drizzlecloud wasn’t in the best state to help her assist in this hard time, but Springpaw managed to keep it together herself. She didn’t need help. She was perfectly capable of doing it on her own. Her focus on Strawberrymumble dwindled as she listened to Bumblestar, her blue eyes latching onto the cream-and-brown tabby’s frame as she listened to what her leader needed to point out, specifically about the aftermath of the raid first. It was disheartening to hear that they lost a few clan members during the battle, and Springpaw found herself briefly giving vigil for them momentarily before Bumblestar moved on. Hopefully, they withstood a good afterlife up in the stars… or wherever they went, in all honesty. Either they went to StarClan or The Dark Forest, or somewhere else, she hoped they at least had a comforting afterlife.
Bumblestar’s mention of cats being against ThunderClan once more brought the calico to feel boiling ire develop deep within her stomach. Hadn’t Bumblestar gone over something like this before at her last meeting with cats going against the clan? Springpaw could’ve sworn that was the case. If more cats were bearing more beetles in their brains than she could count, then the clan was better off without such narcissistic felines. Some cats just stick their noses in places where they don’t belong and that group did just that. Their foolery in trying to stop a raid is why they don’t belong in their home clan anymore. They made a choice that resulted in their dire consequences. Nonetheless, at least their life was spared, she supposed. It would mean less bloodshed would occur. Bumblestar’s mention of both Drizzleclouds and her attacks brought an unsettling feeling up her spine. Right, she hadn’t forgotten that those happy water-dweller killers tried to attack both her and Drizzlecloud right on the spot. Springpaw was still clearly displeased with their actions in that favor, especially for the molly who decided to attack her for no reason at all! The moderate gashes along her side still hadn’t been checked out yet, but that was because she focused her priority on her clan-mates first. She’ll do something about that later. But at least the kill-on-sight order was provoked, she supposed. Not as much drama would occur around Smallpines, then.
Her eyes danced over towards the duo of kits that rushed out to receive their naming ceremonies, and Springpaw couldn’t stop the genuine smile forming on her face. Her siblings finally getting their ceremonies, and she couldn’t be more proud of them. It was unfortunate that she never truly endured the fact to interact with her younger sisters and brothers, but maybe after they all became proper apprentices she’d withstand the chance to interact with them all individually, or together as a group. She could even teach them some herbs or two that would help them in the future! That would be something that the calico would be pleased to do. Just as she watched her siblings, Springpaw found herself noticing a familiar luxurious gray pelt of her mother, focusing up towards the direction of Dovefluff as she sent the molly a small, tired smile. At some point, Springpaw would be visiting her mother to hopefully have some spare time with her. It had been a good while since she had properly spoken with her mother about the recent events that occurred late, and she had dearly missed the feeling of her mother’s soft coat against her own.

One of the babies had a request. Bumblestar glanced down at Swankit, tail tip tapping the Stormcrest once, before she shrugged. Siblings - she got it. "Fine.
"Timberkit, Swankit, Echokit, Wispkit, Elkkit, Mantiskit, Salamanderkit, and Sunkit. Until you finish up your training, you'll be called Timberpaw, Swanpaw, Echopaw, Wisppaw, Elkpaw, Mantispaw, Salamanderpaw, and Sunpaw.
"Timberpaw, you're training with me 'n Lightningpaw. Swanpaw, with Mudhound. Echopaw, Fernwillow. Wisppaw, Whiteriver. Elkpaw, you're under Redhawk." That was giving both of her Hornets a trio of apprentices, but they could handle it. "Mantispaw, you'll be with Nightgaze. Salamanderpaw, with Vultureeye. 'N Sunpaw, stick with Skunkstrike."
She held off momentarily, giving the Clan a bit of time to call out to the new apprentices and for them to find each other, before she moved on. "Reassignments next. I'm only sayin' each name once, so listen up. Most of this is due to warriors goin' missing, but if your apprentice gets moved around 'n you're still here, this is your sign to shape up.
"Cherrypaw, Feathernose. Butterflypaw, Mistheart. Violetpaw, Sproutfleck. Mousepaw, Bravesky. Dogpaw, Lavendersong. Fallingpaw, Twistedsnake. Firepaw, Flameheart." Ha, funny. Fire with fire. Now she kind of wished she'd held off on assigning Nightgaze to someone so she could do the same. "Nightpaw, Eaglespirit. Forestpaw, Beetail. Beachpaw, Lioncrest. Blazepaw, Spiderthroat."
With that mouthful done, Bumblestar sat back to let the Clan settle for a moment before moving on.

Mantispaw searched for her mentor, still appearing calm and unbothered. She wasn't even smilling, simply because she didn't see why she should. Sure, today was an important day but she had already known that she would probably be apprenticed during this meeting, so it wasn't a surprise or anything. It didn't take her long to find Nightgze, as she knew all of her clanmates by sight and name because of the fact her memory was much better than the average cat. Once she did she meowed hey and stood on her hind legs in order to touch noses with Nightgaze. She purposely avoided saying her mentor's name, as she knew that she still couldn't pronounce it correct, even though she was an apprentice now... @The Doctor
Dragonfly cliff listened as her apprentice was called for reassignments.
Oops.
She was respectful about it, but she really needed to start trying.
Oh well.

Dandelionfoot had shown up late to the meeting, though she took her place among her Clanmates.
The she-cat tipped her head. Seemed like Bumblestar was appointing apprentices as well as reassigning them. Her amber eyes narrowed thoughtfully as Dandelionfoot flicked an ear.
Tension had been thick in the air ever since the raid on RiverClan, and Dandelionfoot didn´t like one bit of it. The mottled golden she-cat was usually bubbly and delighted most of the time, but she couldn´t help but think that the amount of tension within the Clan wouldn´t go away very easily.

Twistedsnake yawns, he had joined the meeting late. Way to make an impression was it? The young warrior bears his name, stands up and weaves through the crowd to meet his apprentice. Fallingpaw, hm. The young warrior clears his throat, looking at Bumblestar once, nodding towards the leader. Then turning back to Fallingpaw when he located the cat fully. “I’m your mentor, what training do you have so far if any?” He mews, exhaling before booping his nose on the cat’s forehead if they allowed.
