Thornpaw's copper eyes had the faint gleam of annoyance in them. It wasn't that good. She paused to listen to Softheart's instructions. She quickly tried to roll under her mentor and rake her sheathed claws over her stomach before she had finished her last sentence.

Softheart exclaimed at Thornpaw's quick movements, jumping away before she felt paws against her stomach. She pivoted as she landed, turning so she didn't take her eyes off of the apprentice and be once again surprised by her movements. "Fa-ast..." She huffed, to her self more than anything.

Thistlethorn heavily sighed as he returned from his hunting patrol, all but dramatically flopping into his nest. Beastspark assigned him to this worthless patrol with worthless apprentices and all he caught was a couple of toads. He wanted to further his clan, bring power to them, but nooooo. He got to hunt toads. He glanced up at Cloverwish and rose slightly. The only cat that could understand his annoyance, seemingly just as annoyed as him. "You too?"

Thornpaw quickly stood up facing Softheart when she saw her mentor jump away."I'm not that fast" she told her mentor. My mentor's just slow. She shook her head slightly, trying to drown out the thoughts.

Hollowkit simply could not understand it.

So it had to be untrue.

Hickorystump could feel an unease growing in the pit of his stomach at Hollowkit's deadpan denial, though he shoved it down. This kit was as quiet as him, and it was even harder to understand what he was thinking. He's just young, how can he fully understand how a clan works? the fluffy warrior convinced himself.

"See my tail?" he asked gruffly, turning his body slightly so the smaller cat could see, "Lost it defending against a fox. When it happened I wasn't worried, just furious. But I couldn't let it hurt the clan."

Cloverwish nodded. "I bet your apprentice is better than mine. He's stupid enough to eat his own dung." And.. this was already getting to be too much conversation. She stretched out onto her back, clawing at the air. An exhausting day it had been, but her beliefs were still there. That Whitepaw was stupid, Shadowclan was holy, and Starclan had NO CONTROL over the lives of clan cats WHATSOEVER.

The deputy's ears rose as he heard his named called out. A smile quickly plasters itself on his face as he sees the prey the hunting patrol brought in. He noted how high Thistlethorn raised his head and the mild reluctance with the nod. Nothing Beastspark would concern himself with now. Thornpaw also seemed to remain wary of him. He was going to have to figure so way to patch things up with molly at some point.

"It looks like it went well you caught a lot." The massive warrior grinned clearly pleased with the results. "Was there any trouble along the way?" Beastspark had been worried about how Thistlethorn would deal with a group of all apprentices on his patrol but it seems he fared very well.
