Cloverpaw smiled at him, then made a clawing motion across her throat, trying to convey she was mute. Well, technically not, but whenever she spoke she was normally punished. ‘Mother and a Father said my voice was cursed, right?’ She gave him an apologetic look. It wasn't his fault she didn't know who anyone is. She should've gone to find him.

Brindlejaw grunted from the weight when Coldsong dumped the coyote on his shoulder. "Yup you deserve it!" Cherrfully chirping over his other shoulder as the white warrior disappeared to rest.
Turning to Houndleap Brindlejaw gave a grateful smile. "Thank you Houndleap. Ready to get this thing to the fresh-kill pile?" Huffing as he tried to equally distribute the weight of the deceased coyote between him and the other tom. Thankfully the pile wasn't too far. Taking slow and sturdy steps the two toms finally reached the fresh-kill and the deputy slowly put down the carcass. Getting up and straightening his posture the tortoiseshell turned to the warrior. "Once again congratulations on taking this beast down and getting rid of one less problem for the clan. Feel free to rest or eat. If you need anything I will happily assist you." Brindlejaw forced his eyes to look bright and his voice to be more cheerful. It was the least Houndleap and his group deserved after killing a coyote.

With a nod, he began walking with Brindlejaw as they brought the coyote to the fresh-kill pile. He was relieved when that beast was finally down, it was almost ironic. Coyotes kill cats, but they just killed a coyote. Poetic justice perhaps? The tom looked to Brindlejaw as he heard him speak. "Ah, ya don't have to do anythin'. It was the least we coulda done to help." With that and a head dip, Houndleap padded off towards the warrior's den as well. Hunting coyotes were a tiring business.

The tom's eyes widened. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't..." He stopped himself. Well, this was certainly new for him.

"Sorry," he said again after a pause, afraid he'd sent the wrong message. "I know it's not your fault. But you can still hear me, can't you?"

Houndleap did a double-take at Twilightstar when he heard he was to train an apprentice. He had no problem with it of course, but he was surprised. With a grunt of acknowledgment from the tom, he padded over to his new apprentice, Reedpaw. Funny name, not many reeds around in Windclan territory he had thought. It didn't really matter though. When he finally got to his apprentice, he touched noses. He didn't bother to introduce himself, his name had already been said. The tom just sat and looked back at Twilightstar for the rest of the announcements.

Clover nodded, smiling. She knew it wasn't her fault. Stars, it wasn't his fault either. She tapped her paw on her nose, and then pointed to his with her tail. Weren't they supposed to touch noses? It was a form of respect, correct? She titled her head curiously.

Deertalon blinked, then jolted a bit. Oh, how could he have forgotten that part? Mouse-brain! Quickly, he stepped forward, a bit clumsily, but pressed his nose against hers gently.

Darkkit just stared at the leader before stalking to the elders den. She didn’t want to say anything but wanted to talk to the elders. She didn’t really care if she was in the nursery another moon, no one else cared what happened to her, why should she?

Gentlemoo glanced at Sunheart—no Sunpaw and dipped his head respectfully,” So you have to restart your training, I guess...Soo uhh...what type of training do you want to work on? Like what can I help you to improve on, since I figure you can hunt already and know how to fight...maybe learn the strengths of Windclan and learn to run fast?” he meowed unsure of how to train a warrior demoted to apprentice.

Basilpaw gave a smile,” Wow the nursery is quiet since we left, do you want to play?” she asked. Basilpaw had promised herself that she wouldn’t forget her friends in the nursery, Emberkit and Snowkit.
