Honeysnake slipped around his clan mates to take a seat among them. The tortoiseshell tom chose a spot near the center, wanting an easy view of any shenanigans and a spot prime for hearing news and offering his own input if called for- or even if not. His piercing yellow eyes slyly flickered from cat to cat around him, wondering what each one would do at this meeting today. He couldn’t remember the last peaceful meeting- or short one- and he was actually looking forward to the inevitable outburst of one cat or another. It was time to get in on the action- he wanted Icestar to see his loyalty. That cat was the best thing to happen to this clan.

Glidingleaf couldn’t go far from the nursery with the kits needing her inside, but she was eager for any tidbit of regular life. She didn’t want to miss this meeting; the tabby feline already get a bit separated from the workings of her clan and she wanted to be active among her peers. The molly neither disliked nor liked overmuch their leader, but she was loyal to her. Glidingleaf also agreed with most of Icestar’s recent controversial actions. While it was rough to kill a clan mate in the clearing, that cat had betrayed her clan and was prepared to do so again. She was a danger.

Glidingleaf slipped from the nursery, where she’d been watching her kits- the kits, her nieces and nephews? She still didn’t know what to call them. Ever since Hemlockkit and Pinekit had disappeared for the day, the queen had had her eyes glued to the little fur balls. Now, it was time to report to Icestar that the kits had been found.

“Icestar?”

Glidingleaf’s voice sounded as she paused beside the entrance to the leader’s den, looking around to see if she was nearby. She’d made sure to call dad enough away that Icestar would hear her from outside of the den but close enough that the leader would hear from inside too.

The tabby queen now just had to explain what had happened to the the kit- this would be difficult since she wasn’t entirely sure herself. Hemlockkit had tried to explain, but, being one moon old, hadn’t been able to tell her much.

Sparrowsnap strutted -- a bit achingly -- toward Cypresspaw, her tail curled high above her back in delight. She took a neat sight beside the dark she-cat before giving her chest-fur a couple of cleansing strokes.
"Hey," she purred. "Y'know, how would you like for Swiftpaw to be next to us today?" Sparrowsnap beckoned toward the small apprentice with her tail.

Bravedawn lay down in her usual spot near the back of the crowd and settled her chin on her paws with a huff.

Ivyshade took her place at the bottom of the highbranch. She heard apprentices were getting mentors, and she was mildly excited to see the youth of today beginning their journey to become warriors.

Poor little scrap... Now that she was here, Ivyshade wasn't going to leave. She laid down next to Snailkit. "Do you want to do anything? Are your hungry?" Food always made her feel a little better when things were going wrong.

Darkkit's ears flattened as he tried to think of something to say, "uh..m-mind showing me how to crouch?" He asked, his little head tilted. He always had a bored expression on his face, but this one lightened up a bit to a barley noticeable..smile? He had never practiced hunting or any type of training...so this might come in handy, "I mean only if you don't mind..." his ears lifted again and his border expression back to normal.
