dreampaw turned her head away from bravedawn to hide a smile. the ol rat—no, cat, dreampaw reminded herself—didn't have anything to say now, did she, huh? maybe bravedawn was right; she was being slightly disrespectful, but only slightlyy!! and the old cat deserved it! she's got the personality of a lump of rocks! she sighed to herself, turning back to her new 'mentor' ((ugh, the idea had her groaning inwardly already)) after the smile had faded for good, making sure that her muzzle accidentally weakly jabbed the warrior.

Okay, that was it. Bravedawn couldn't stop herself from letting put a low growl as Dreampaw bumped her with her muzzle. She swung her head around to glare at her apprentice, then took a deep breath and stood up. "We're heading to the Training Ground right now," she said lowly. "We're going to discuss what you've already learned, and then we will continue where you left off. Don't talk, just follow me." She picked her way around the edge of the crowd and then ducked out of camp, not even bothering to check if Dreampaw followed.

man, this cat has a temper, dreampaw thought. she was quite tempted to just let bravedawn walk right out of there. to be fair, the warrior hadn't turned back to check if she was following, so dreampaw could make a break for it while she was distracted, and there was almost nothing stopping her from doing so... except for the fact that it would make the next few moons with this ol' hag that much worse. the apprentice scampered after her hesitantly. this was a terrible idea. "what if she kills me? i mean.. this is the perfect time... she's taking me away while everyone's paying attention to the announcements! ah, what have i gotten myself into!" dreampaw muttered under her breath as she quickly tried to catch up to bravedawn. "wow, she walks fast. she's probably had experience, running away from all of her problems." she'd said it quietly, since she was basically talking to herself, but she didn't know if her mentor had heard her or not.
