Ah, Whispering Wetlands! A place that was probably going to forever to send shivers down Wolfwhisper's spine. "Yep! Short and sweett, " He meowed in response to Flametail. He was so painfully aware of how the border had moved up, he began to remark it. He sent mental apologizes to Windclan. Though, he was sure they would be fine in the end.

Wolfwhisper paused, stopping dead halt in his tracks. "Uhm.." His heart skipped a beat as he leaned down to sniff at the ground. Oh no. Oh no. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Suddenly he felt very light-headed. "I.. think.. uh... a .. fox has recently.. passed through here, " He squeaked out, emphasis on the recently. What were they going to DO? He couldn't fight A FOX! Not to mention he had Rookpaw here and .. and.. Starclan, please he needed a break.

A fox? Rookpaw sniffed around curiously until landing on an unfamiliar scent. This was certainly intriguing. She had marked a good portion of the border but perhaps she should focus on the fox.
"Oh, cool! Welllll, not cool if it attacks anyone, but still cooool!" she said.

A frown crossed his muzzle as he sniffed softly at the ground. His instant reaction was to recoil from the scent with a light groan. Turning to look at the other two he seemed to raise a eyebrow “so, what are we going to do about it?”

His thoughts were whirling and oh Starclan, his apprentice was insane! "Not cool, Rookpaw.. Not cool. Very dangerous, " Wolfwhisper corrected, shaking his head. There was no genuine anger in his voice, only worry. With a deep breath and the reminder that ah, he was the LEADER of this patrol! He had to take,, the.. lead. Duh.

"Well.. we.. did what we had to do. Let's head back to camp and I'll report it to Marshwolf..!" He meowed, giving a firm nod to feign confidence. With that Wolfwhisper began to bounce towards the direction of camp. Anxiety still buzzing but the further away he was from that scent? He was fine.

A light frown appeared along his muzzle. He wasn’t so sure some cats would take kindly to hearing they smelled a fox on the border and did nothing about it, but he wasn’t about to argue with Wolfwhisper.
Rookpaw and Wolfwhisper had roused a laugh from the quiet tom. Slowly, he began to trot behind the leader to follow him home.
