"That is also true," she meowed, sighing a little. "Which is probably why Lionstar asked Fennelnose to begin gathering cats to make expansions to the dens." Another good solution would to assign half of the mentors and their apprentices to be awake at night instead, so the den wouldn't be cramped. She wasn't sure if it was good idea or even if she should suggest it, but it was a thought.

Brightwhisker had been in a nice cnversation, catching up with the previous Shadowclan cat, Bumblebelly and introducing him to Dawncloud who had been walking by when Lionstar called for a meeting.

Dawncloud tilted her head in confusion as she didn't recall much of anything planned or happening. Brightwhisker didn't either and looked around the clearing for Ravenmist to see if she knew anything. However, upon catching sight of her and her hunched over form he stood up.

Waving his tail towards the two he had been chatting with, the tom made his way to his mate and brushed his nose against her shoulder.

"Ravenmist? What's going on, are you ok?" he murmured as others gathered around for the meeting.

Duckkit frowned at Berrykit. She was not amused with her new nickname, but she eventually found a way to laugh at it. “Yep!” the golden kit squeaked, “We all worked really hard!”

Goosepaw pulled himself away from the apprentice's den with a yawn. Lionstar didn't look particularly happy, so he guessed this meeting wasn't something to be excited about. He sat by the back of the crowd, glancing around and trying to catch facial expressions to figure out what was happening.

Hailfire blinked as she looked up from the prey pile, tilting her head at Lionstar's call. It seemed a lot of the gathered cats were just as confused as she was, so she figured talking to them about it wouldn't exactly help. She stayed where she was, hoping she would be able to here from there.

After a short chat with Duckkit, Berrykit gazed through the crowd and spotted her adoptive mother and siblings sitting in a group outside the nursery. Oops! Was I supposed to stay with them? She excitedly bounced over to her family. "Flyfur! Do you think I'll make a good apprentice?" Then the she-kit glanced at her siblings and thought for a minute. She hadn't really gotten a chance to connect with them and she hoped they could get to know each other better as apprentices.

Flyfur turned away from Gingerkit and looked at Berrykit, loving grin pulling at the side of her mouth. "Of course you will, persistence is always a good trait to have." She purred and gave Berrykit a quick lick to her cheek.
She suddenly felt old, older than she really was and a bone deep weariness settled in. Of course she was proud of them all, she always would be. But part of her wanted the younger kits to stay the full 6 moons, just to get her time with them before they all became busy with their duties to the clan.

Lightstreak and Mossflame joined the crowd.

The partly ginger she padded out of the den, shaking her fur out. She padded through the crowd to find a nice spot near the center. She sat alone, thinking about the dream she had had when she just slept, while looking up at Lionstar.

Taking his normal spot for meetings, the long-furred brown tabby laid down in now a divot in the soil. It was pretty much molded to his size so it was the utmost comfortable spot for him during meetings. He licked his chest fur while keeping one ear on Lionstar, waiting for him to speak.

"reasonable choice" Gingerkit said with a slight mutter, atleast the den would be less crowded, but the apprentices might still be loud as can be. That's when he noticed Berrykit- one of his adopted siblings- arriving. With a small flick of his ear, he nodded a greeting to the molly. She was one of the kits he had close to never spoken to, in fact, he couldn't even recall one time they actually spoke. Not that he really cared, it was a mere fact.
"might wanna try to stay calm" he muttered under his voice as he averted his gaze. If the current apprentices were already loud, which he was quite sure they were, he wouldn't need more loud cats to disturb his peace on top of them.

Harepaw bounced into the clearing, happy that he finally was able to be off his punishment. He sat around the edge of the gathering cats, but still to where he could hear Lionstar.
