Sparrowsnap shook her head, exasperated beyond comprehension. What a stupid apprentice. Heck, she might as well have become the medicine cat apprentice, if she was truly this weak.

"Fine then," she said chidingly. "I'll do it on you." With that having been said, the young warrior leaped Smallpaw, paws outstretched but claws sheathed, in an aim to grab her by the throat; should this work, she would then proceed to shake her. Like a dog, given the invented name of the move.

"Feeeneeeellhazeee!" Driftstep dragged the name out as they staggered across the clearing, taking short wobbling steps but nevertheless making their way over to the friend and flopping down on the ground beside them and starting at Fennelhaze with their cross eyed wide eyes. "Feeeennnel," they dragged out again as they stuck their tongue out at their friend. "Wanna goo.... frog hunting? Ya know, jump around like a frog and hopefully manage to catch one?" They let out a laugh and flicked their tail lazily on the ground. They knew they were weird and would often be looked at strangely due to their bobbling and wobbling gait. It wasn't much to worry about, they didn't exactly care. They just walked differently! "Fenneeeel" they said again and booped the snoot of their so very good friend. They liked being a gentle giant... because when you were a 6kg boulder just walking around... well you had to be careful that you didn't accidentally crush a kit. "Wannnna gooo crushing frogs?"

Blackpaw sat at his rock, wondering where everyone had gone. Falconkit had left, along with Weaselblaze and Hornetsting. Berrypaw hadn't talked to him at all, even ignored him at the gathering. It was like everyone was abandoning him.

Thornpaw sat at the other side of the clearing in her shadowed spot. Her eyes were still dull from the experience of watching Beastspark kill Silvermist. She knew it was a while ago but she couldn't get over it. She didn't really like Softheart, her new mentor. Her copper eyes were trained on her paws, not noticing Blackpaw at the other side of the clearing.

Blackpaw glanced around the clearing and noticed Thornpaw across the clearing. He stared for a moment before slowly getting to his paws and adding over. He walked slowly as if the weight of the world created upon his shoulders.

Thornpaw looked up and saw Blackpaw walking slowly towards her. She moved her gaze back to her paws, returning to the scene again. Beastspark had Silvermist in his grip. He had bit down on her windpipe, crushing it, until she fell limp. The apprentice quickly returned to the present and trained her gaze on the approaching tom.

Blackpaw didn’t speak as he slumped down beside her and lay his head on her shoulder. He wanted to say hi, but somehow the words wouldn’t come out.
