Irisflame nodded slowly at the apprentice's response, eyeing him carefully. Was this 'I'm fine' thing all an act? Was He actually fine, or was he just acting all tough so that he could get out of this stuffy den? She'd do the latter, honestly. She'd had problems reading cats during times like these in the past, and she didn't want to assume. He genuinely didn't seem in too much pain, so dandelion was out the door. Raising her brow, she smiled as the tom hastily added a 'it barely hurts' into the mix as well. She went to find some marigold and cobwebs from the store, talking as she searched.
"If you insist, kiddo. But it's still a deep cut, and I'm worried that the bird may have taken some of the nerves." She mewed, turning to face the pair with a maw full of herbs. It was true. With a cut that deep and little pain, it was hard not to lose any. But they'd grow back in good time. He'd just have to rest a little bit. She sat down by his right shoulder, grinning at Echopaw.
"You take bird-hugger's left shoulder, I'll take his right." Two scratches had been ripped in the flesh, and though they were drying, they looked nasty. She dropped the marigold between then, and began to chew a poultice from hers. The cobwebs fluttered down beside the yellow flowers.

Snailkit let out a screech of terror as he fell back onto his baby chub.

Bright red blood, he could see it now, forever scarring the kittens eyes with such a vision of terror but there was nowhere to go,

Snailkit knew what was going to happen, he knew it. Could he stop it? Maybe!
He charged, aiming to slam his entire weight into the jaw of the elder, luckily for Snailkit he was on the thicker side of life, but how would that fair against a literal cannibal?

"L-L-LET HIM G-GO!" he would wailed, a pitiful war cry.

Kestrelpaw eyes his father mischievously and wondered if he recognized him. The twins loved to confuse cats as to their identities, though family was tougher. While it was more fun to try to confuse Honeycreeper when Spiritpaw was around to do it too, Kestrelpaw felt like he wanted to try to trick his dad. Then again, he and Spiritpaw still needed to meet up and teach each other how to act perfectly so that their trick was perfect.

“I’m doing good! I’ve been hanging with friends. I just came back to look for Kestrelpaw but I can’t find him anywhere!”

Kestrelpaw slid bright green eyes over to look at Honeycreeper, wondering if the older tom had believed him.

Honeycreeper furrowed his brows questioningly. "I thought you were Kestrelpaw." They tried this just a few too many times with him. Sure, sometimes it worked but now he had a habit of questioning them.
He shrugged the best a cat could. "Either way, I don't believe I've seen your brother today. I don't mind helping look, though."

(When it's only one doing it, I feel like he would know better but would 100% fall for it whenever both are around and in on the joke)

Frostpaw didn't know what taking out nerves meant, but he did know that he hated harriers more than he did hawks now. The white tom tried to relax as Irisflame plopped down beside him. He doubted that being tense made it easier for anyone. When the medicine cat called him a bird-hugger again, Frostpaw mentally noted that he would probably be stuck with the nickname for a while, if not forever. He supposed that Irisflame was just one of those cats. "If I'm a bird-hugger, what are you two?" the apprentice meowed in amicable retaliation. "Herb-dancers?" It was only fair that he give the two healers a nickname back.

Pebblefall put a paw on his belly, lightly. "Can you try to go fully under me, then slip out, then aim blows at my sides?" She asked, hoping it wasn't too much.
