Iciclepaw perked her ears when she heard that cats were going around springing traps to protect the clan. It wasn’t something she’d usually volunteer for, but she figured it would be a good chance to go flower hunting while helping out! All that she had to do was volunteer- which was pretty intimidating. The young feline scooted up the highbranch so that she could speak quieter and still have Beastspark hear her.

“I’m, excuse me, Beastspark? If you are taking volunteers right now, I’d like to help.”

Amberstrike looked up. "Pick me!" she called. "I'd love to get away from camp for once." Sle glared at the nursery, searching for two kits in particular.

Whitepaw sat on the thought for a moment. If he went out and messed with the traps, his whole future could be at stake.. but.. He looked around for his mentor, to see if she would volunteer. If she volunteered, she would see him as a coward if he didn't come with. He sighed, and just stayed silent, waiting for his mentor to run-up to the deputy or just yell out that they wanted to participate.

Sagewhisker stepped forward, "I'll go,beastspark. If he decides to come along, it would be good experience for ashpaw" she explained, her face set and determined.

Stagpaw padded forward, eager to have an excuse to leave camp, "Beastspark! Can I go?" they loudly asked the deputy, his tail waving behind him. This was so exciting! If they were chosen to go, then they would make sure to be a huge help!

Sunfall thought for a moment, and shook his head. No kit deserved this. He dropped onto his four paws and clamped his jaws tighter onto Skykit's scruff. You're going to the nursery, he growled.

Cypresspaw padded about the clearing, looking for someone to talk to. She hadn't been doing much lately and was looking for something interesting to do. Sitting down underneath a nearby, she turned towards the apprentice den, hoping the weren't all out training with their mentors or out on a patrol.

Emberpaw sat down and yawned. What a tiring day. Two patrols and then meeting a Thunderclan apprentice at the border? Too much had gone on today. She shook her head and let out another long yawn. So much for sleep.

duskblossom got a wave of instant panic, like those times when the teacher calls on you to orally present your project but you don't remember what you wrote about because you were too busy staring at your table. oddly specific--i know, but that was the feeling the warrior got when fleapaw randomly called her name. what was she supposed to say??? encourage her???? discourage herr??? whAT iF shE GOT FLEAPAW KILLED??!! this. this was why she was noT supposed to be a mentor. "ha.. haha. eh," she nervously laughed, taking a few steps towards fleapaw. "yup, protect me!! i think you should focus more on protecting blackpaw and then i'll protect you and blackpaw will protect me and you'll protect me and i'll protect blackpaw! and then it will all be equal and we'll all be protected and protecting and everything will be fuN and none of us will get hurt!" she said, out of breath. duskblossom decided to quickly change the subject to fleapaw's friend, blackpaw. "hii blackpaw, by the way!"

Watching Duskblossom come over towards the two apprentices , she let out a slow , thoughtful hum at the whole protecting eachother. “Hmm...sure! But I get to do like...a lot of the protecting.” she told , her tone making it quite obvious she wasn't going to agree to anything else. After a few moments of silence , it was like a light bulb lit up above her head. “Alsoooo! Im gonna make these traps useless using my paws , not some boring stick! Because..when I put my paw in the trap , I'll snatch it out so fast , it won't have time to close on my paw!” she explained. Wow , she was smart. Who else could think of such a plan? Surely nobody else could.
