Ashpaw was padding in the clearing looking over his clanmates. He hoped some warrior would be willing to take him out and help him with his training, since Darkpetal had been disappearing for the last days. Maybe this could be a great chance to know more of the cats here and get to be more popular. Not that he wished for popularity, but one day he would be a warrior and would fight alongside them all: it was important to create important bonds with them, or at least meet everyone at least once.
A calico she-cat caught his attention: she was dozing off under a patch of sunlight at the center of the clearing. Maybe she's getting bored. I'll try asking her... He trotted toward her, hopeful to have found his warrior for today. "Hello, Tawnywhisper." he greeted cheerfully. Ashpaw thought for a moment that right now she looked like an elder who had been asked to pull out the ticks herself from her pelt, but he pushed the thought aside. Cindersky had told them that their duty as apprentices was also to look after their training themselves. That's just what Ashpaw was doing right now! She's just bound to help me. Just ask.
"Uhm.. I was wondering if you're free right now. I would like someone to help me with my fighting training, and.. he thought a bit harder before continuing. "I've heard you're really good at it." He hoped that would work.

Peachleaf finished his shrew, satisfied. That was a lovely meal. He twitched his ears and yawned again, flicking his tail. He felt drowsy now. Of course he would. He was exhausted and full. He better go for a nap. As he was about to get up, he heard his friend, Redmoon call his name. He smiled and began padding to Redmoon.
"What's up? " he asked as he padded over and sat down, tail curled around his paws. He glanced at his friend, tilting his head. Maybe he had a bad day...? I mean- He might have lost a rabbit when he was hunting or got a scrape.

“Nothing much, just wanted some company, I’m feeling quite lonely” he said, moving his tail to Offer space and smiled
Sungaze was resting in the clearing, his tail flicked slightly as he just observed the others around him. He was willing to talk to anyone but he was watching to make sure no more rogues would try to enter the camp, after the last one they had been on high alert. [open !]

Ashpaw thought for a moment that right now she looked like an elder who had been asked to pull out the ticks herself from her pelt, but he pushed the thought aside. "Uhm.. I was wondering if you're free right now. I would like someone to help me with my fighting training, and.. he thought a bit harder before continuing. "I've heard you're really good at it." He hoped that would work.
Tawnywhisper's gaze fell upon Ashpaw, and she waited expectantly for the apprentice to speak. Better be a good reason to interrupt my relaxation... Shaking out the tension from her coat, she tried to place a pleasant look on her face. The compliment certainly helped his case, and the she-cat rose to stretch out her joints before strolling casually towards the younger cat. "Awe, well when you put it like that," she chuckled, tapping her tail to the tabby's shoulder and tipping her head to indicate he should follow. She wondered what was up with Ashpaw's mentor; were they ignoring the young cat? Probably best not to assume anything, less she step on any paws. If she was to gain any sort of social power in this clan, ruffling feathers certainly wouldn't be the way.
As she strutted towards the camp entrance, she spoke without bothering to look behind her. The tom was sure to follow and she'd just assume he would keep up the pace. If not, then consider this also a training in stamina--and tracking. "I've got a few experiences in battles. Especially with that pesky Shadowclan." The calico's tail lashed side to side at the mention of the other clan. Tension between Shadowclan and Thunderclan was high and while she knew the other clan was respectable in their fighting skills, the sheer fact that they had been causing trouble for Thunderclan made her look down on them. Hatred was easy to brew in a life where outsiders were always looked upon as less than.
"With everything going on, you certainly need this. We don't want you getting hurt, now do we?" At this question, she did make sure to shoot a look over her shoulder at Ashpaw, feigning concern on her face while she shook her head. "Your battle training should be top priority. Shame your mentor isn't out with you, but lucky you! You'll be having the training of your life today." She made sure to let a soft purr slip into her words, giving a slow blink to the apprentice as she turned around. Yes, let her words be just lighthearted enough while putting that idea of negligence into his mind... maybe he'd see Tawnywhisper as someone to turn to. As much as the she-cat would love to do nothing while gaining popularity, good impressions didn't pop up overnight.
As she slipped out of camp, the molly turned her paws and took off at a steady pace towards the training cave, tail swishing softly behind her. This was new to her, and she began to think about what kind of things were most important to teach an apprentice for battle. The thought occured to her that since this wasn't her apprentice, she might need to test his skills first. Yes, maybe jumping right into a practice battle would be the best approach. It'd be the quickest way to assess Ashpaw's current skills and the two could turn to focus on what he needs to improve on afterwards. Not to mention, it would give the opportunity to show that whatever Ashpaw had heard about her battle skills was true. Of course, there was always the chance that the apprentice had smartly made that up, but Tawnywhisper hoped he had sincerely heard from others that she was a talented fighter. That'd certainly let her know she was getting places in terms of social power.
(We can move to the training cave if you'd like!)

Vineglow went to Sungaze “Hello, Sungaze. Keeping guard, are you?” She said, sitting next to him.

Thrushfur entered back into the clearing with a drooped tail. His paws could only come back empty without Quietkit in his jaws. How would he tell Quailfur this? She would be super upset about it but it was the least he could do. If making up excuses was the one way to go, then he would. Pushing his paw pads into camp as he looked around. He smelled a hint of a rouge scent in the clearing, making him shuffle silently.
He wanted to ask questions but his first priority was to head to the nursery, he's praying that Quietkit would survive in the harsh sunny weather out there. He squeeze his eyes shut trudging to the nursery with a gloomy aura surrounding him. And after that he would have to train Weaselpaw, but how in his state of mind would he be able to keep focus with having problems like these? He scoffed as he sped up towards the den.
Thrushfur entered the nursery, slinking in hesitantly before he got the courage his speak up. His heart was skipping and his throat was hoarse. He bit his bottom lip, letting out a sudden mew to Quailfur. Who he suspected was in a worried aggravated state at the moment.
" Quailfur.. I erm.. I tried. "
He shrank his voice, looking towards the silver she-cat with avoidant eyes. He was actually a bit scared to face her wrath once more. He only gulped letting out a small heaved breath out of his nostrils to toughen himself up. The only thing that moved were his blue eyes that were as bright as the blue sea at the given moment. In the depths of his mind a small remembrance of a lonely kit with a small fragrant image with it cowering in fear
Cloudspots crept quietly into the elders’ den. He held a chunk of moss firmly in his teeth. He was bringing it for the elders, in case anyone’s nest needed freshening. He glanced over at Ashflame, wondering if he should wake them or not.
