Venomkit continued looking for a queen but couldn't see one where she was looking she sat down in hopes that a queen would show up right where she was looking but for now she would look at the other kits throw mossballs and pounce on each other

It was all a facade from the smile to the chest-puffing and being 'pleased' to see him. What had Magpie become? He was speechless and absolutely unsure of what he could do. The massive warrior took a few pawsteps closer to his apprentice before bringing the younger tom into a hug.
Was he like this because of him?
Pulling away and looking down at his apprentice Foxwhisperer wiped the specks of vomit off of Magpiepaw's whiskers. "You are not fine. It is written across your face and the evidence is everywhere." Cooly replying to his clanmate before sitting down and patting the ground in front of him with his massive paw to have Magpiepaw sit down as well. "Now, tell me what is wrong...please." Please was a foreign word to the warrior but for Magpiepaw he would learn to use it. It was very clear that his apprentice needed him more than ever.

He could smell her growing frustration, not his intention, but he'd take it. It was better than the weak approach she had before. Beastspark knew without a doubt that if she had come to Icestar with even a hint of weakness there was no chance she'd be allowed into ShadowClan. Even though Beastspark didn't agree with all her methods, he respected her drive for strength. The fact that Doe...paw was blind would just make it that much tougher for her here.

As she explained her story and the origin of her name, Beastspark did sympathize just a little. He hasn't heard anyone in ShadowClan have any problems with the names Icestar gave them... then again it was Icestar so most were not dumb enough to argue with the leader. Yet give a cat a name that reminded her of her parents' deaths was cruel even for Icestar. He'd never have thought Duskstar to be so inconsiderate. If the name was touchy for a cat, just change it, especially if the reason was as sensitive as it was for Doepaw.

Calling him a softhearted kittypet if you will, but Beastspark felt bad for this molly. Enough so that was very very careful as he moved closer and bent down to give the molly's ear a quick yet comforting lick. Not exactly subtle for a cat he's meeting for the first time, but Beastspark was a spur of the moment type of guy. He felt bad for her so she got his comfort, he probably shouldn't have gone for her ears though seeing as she using them for navigation and so were probably a little touchy.

"I'm sorry that you had to go through that." straightening up to his full height. "Icestar's a very touch leader, she's not going to coddle you because you have a sad story, honestly, between your story and your blindness, you're going to have to have to work extra hard to prove to her and ShadowClan that this is where you want to be, but I think you can manage." Beastspark's eyes shifted around the camp. "ShadowClan is a clan of strength if cats find out that you're touchy about the word light I'm sure a few will use it to provoke you. Your anger is a good reaction, but you shouldn't let this hate of your's burn too hot." It wasn't really healthy and could easily scorch her too. "I like you, Spitfire, hopefully, Icestar at least sees an inkling of the strength you hold and lets you join us." He really would go a vouch for this molly if he heard otherwise. The type of strength she had wasn't the physical kind, different, but it was still strong.

Doepaw... Her name for now. She shook her fur trying to clear off the nerves, the anger and the frustrations. She'd done it. It felt like something she'd had to pass, and it had in truth been. But she was accepted by Icestar now. To her though, it appeared the large part of the intimidation that had been mumbled around back in her former clan was based on the physical strength of the she-cat... Being blind most certainly had it's advantages when it came to certain things. Yet there was someone who she had to thank. It was in part due to his wise words and help that she had found the courage to pass this test that was word playing with the Shadowclan Leader. So after having shaken her fur, and stemmed the emotions there was still raging through her... it seemed they never had the chance to stop, the small molly lifted her head, trying to get an idea of any scents close by. It seemed not, so she would most likely just be wandering around trying to find him. The deputy shouldn't be that hard to find? Probably he would be hard... all the scents were still new to her, and thereby picking out a thread between a bunch of other threads that nearly felt the same was something she struggled with. Especially because it wasn't like her nose was her strongest sense anyway. So perking her ears, she hoped that this would work better, and it did. Everyone's voice sounded unique, the tones were different and so, flicking her ears back and forth as she moved along trying her best to locate any sound that would reflect on the fact that something was in front of her and in her way. "Beastspark..." she voiced one she was close enough. How should she feel, elated, happy, that she was accepted? She simply felt... accepted. And so her head held high, the pride she'd gained in her own strength from her conversation with Icestar shone through her... "I want... to thank you... for your wise words... when it came to... talking with Icestar." He had been right, the dark leader had questioned her on her strength. And her spine. And she had answered back just right as powerfully. "She... like many others... judge one before... they know. I may.. be blind... but I am not less... than you. You might... see me.. but I.. can hear every step... every breath... and that doesn't mean I am weaker. I may be... afraid of light... but others... are afraid of... snakes... of being talked... down to. Everyone got their... weaknesses. And it doesn't make them...any less of who.. they are. It... makes them... stronger. Because... learning to... manage your fears... to win despite them... being... there... it's what... makes you.. stronger than.. others." She bowed her head to him. His words had truly helped her when talking to Icestar and maybe... she could share a bit of her own wisdom and ideas with him. "Again... Thank you... It was due to what you... told me. That I convinced her... to let me stay."

Irisflame felt her face contort into something confused as Lightbreeze completely disregarded her apprentice's foul attitude. How could a mentor let their apprentice get away with that so quickly? So easily? If she was Dewpaw's mentor, straight to Icestar she would go. She'd give him a whack across the ears for good measure, too. Good riddance! At least Echopaw had appreciated her outburst. She could see the contempt building on the young she-cat's face, a sight that made her proud to be her mentor. She frowned, dipping her head respectfully to the departing warrior. "If you have to train, take it easy. I don't want no rough and tumbling from either of you. And Lightbreeze? Teach your apprentice some respect, while you're at it. He's being a little ass at the moment." She mewed bluntly, her gaze narrowing. She had enough of this nonsense. She sent a look Echopaw's way as the two left, a look that said 'we'll talk about this afterwards'.

Irisflame smiled in amusement as her apprentice looked disdainfully at the apprentice's shoulder, the icky mess of yellow and blood gazing back up at them. She wrinkled her nose, spitting the marigold out onto the laceration. At least it didn't stink yet. Cobwebs and marigold would do, for now. She kicked the poultice in as Echopaw began to chatter along. It was amusing how the young she could be so quiet and focused one minute, crazy angry the next, and the most energized being in the world at another. She paused from her licking to make her own guess at what a harrier was, the name sounding familliar.
"I think it's an eagle or hawk type thing, I wouldn't know. What's a you say, Mood Face?" She offered, hoping to start some conversation. She also had to fit Freckles in there somehow. She nodded at Mood Face's mentor, a question lighting up her face.
"Were you just hunting, or was it an assessment?" She inquired. The information wasn't exactly important, but it was good to know. She laughed as Mood Face piped up. Silly tom. She found a smile on her face, entertainment on her features.
"Herb-dancers? Hah, pretty good, Moods. I prefer Herb-spitters, but I'll remember that one."

As another pair of paws stumbled in, Irisflame was quick to react. Her ears flickered towards the sound immediately, although her body followed much slower. Another apprentice, judging by the looks of it. Echopaw beat her to the patient- being the little Speed Demon she was- and she allowed herself to limp over casually, interest devoid from her face. It was probably just some crazy thorn drama again. Or a hunting injury. The usuals. What came next...she hadn't been expecting. She guffawed, her expression showing disbelief. A cannibal, in their midst? She didn't think so. Probably a story made up to scare them. Oh, how wrong she was.
"So this 'Foxbite' is eating kits? Uh huh. You don't hear that everyday. C'mon, kiddo, show me where this cannibal of yours is." She chuckled softly, tone still neutral-sounding.

Irisflame jostled back to Fawnsqueak, who, though she was out of labour, was far from over. She sat down and fussed over the kits for a while longer, making sure that they were alright- no disabilities, no still-borns, no nothing. Although it was too early to tell about deafness or blindness, she was confident that time would soon tell. Her ears swiveled towards Echopaw as She announced her question, the words ringing in her mind. Herbs...right. She opted for borage at the moment, it being one of the only reliable herb when it came to queens. She set the little white and purple flowers down in front of the queen, and nudged it towards her. She nodded to both Fawnleap and Echopaw.
"This is borage. It helps queens produce more milk for their kits. You should always try and use it after kittings. It can also help with chest tightness and fevers."

"Hello," she greeted the tom softly. Sparrowcatcher recognized Blazestep, but he wasn't someone she was very familiar with, so she took no offense to his hesitation with her name. "I'm well, just back from a successful hunt. And you are?" Manners. She echoed in her head, though she was being polite. It was a constant reminder to herself when speaking, however, as she'd been told many times that her being so unresponsive was rude. She wasn't a talkative molly, but she could force herself to converse if it meant she kept a positive image among her clan.

"Blazestep. Just going to go on a successful hunt." HE said, glancing at his claws. "Sorry for the short talk, and bye! Hope we can talk later!" Blazestep, he really wanted to go hunting. But he also wanted to talk to Sparrowcatcher.
Hunting doesn't kill you! I can talk to her later.

Doepaw took in a deep breath and then pushed her small body into the apprentice's den. She would have to get used to these scents now, this whole new area. And she would do so. Her day had been eventful enough, crossing the border, meeting two Shadowclan warrior, meeting Beastspark and then her talk with Icestar. Yet her day of socialising did not seem to end there... because there were at least one other apprentice in here. Slowly taking in another breath she just tried to ignore them for now, focusing instead on scenting if any of the nests here was empty... Otherwise she would have to go try to find some moss as it seemed also the Shadowclan nests were made from moss. No way was she going to ask! That would just be proving Icestar's point right that she was an invalid who needed help with everything. Maybe she could ask the other that was in here... Maybe it would be worth it. So flicking her ears she slowly approached them. "Hi... I'm Doepaw." Her voice was quiet but never the less strong. She had to show no weakness. Beastspark's advice to her. "Is any of... the nests here... free?" she inquired carefully, ears constantly flicking trying to pick up the smallest bit of sound that would help her locate anything else than this other apprentice.
